Why should agents and corrupt IO's be able to benefit from an illegal act. The law is the law. BTW I don't benefit from their actions.

It's got much to do with immigration and the bribing of officials.

It's readily available out there. The crackdown has already begun in Phuket, where police are searching for 142 foreigners believed to be bribing various officials as much as THB100 million (US$3 million) per month over visa issues.

Just because it hasn't been reported on here doesn't mean it has never happened. What is positive is that immigration have now got a leader in charge that may put a stop to corruption.

The IO in Buriram is so expensive that many, who use an agent around here, will travel the 6 hour journey, one way, every 3 months to Pattaya to do their 90 day report. In fact I believe Buriram IO act as their own agency.

It didn't take this officer long to be back on duty. No demotion if I recall.

Why? I'm 100% legal and I don't see why others should get away with breaking the law.

No. They didn't do an x-ray until my second appointment. It took 3 of of them to actually get the machine to work properly if they actually did as I was shown no x-ray. What they actually took an x-ray for I dunno as all I went there for was to replace a crown that had come adrift. Ps. I dunno what a planographic x-ray is.

Cuz of all the replies saying how cheap dental treatment is in wonderful Thailand.

I did ask the price first and I was told that it was a fixed price for a first appointment with treatment.

Thank you, someone has now come forward and stated a price that they get their teeth cleaned for, which is 600 Baht. My dentist charges for the same clean just over 3,000 Baht for a 10 minute procedure. My wife's aunt currently on a holiday from living in Sweden, but using a different dentist to me, had to have her teeth cleaned and it took 3 appointments and they charged her 10,000 Baht. No joke. Hence why I say they're crooks. Cleaning teeth is money for old rope.

How many visits does it take for a clean? How much for each clean? Would be nice to know how much others pay before telling how much I paid.

I've never wore a (wedding) ring since I exited a door, 45 years ago, that had a lever handle. The end of the handle caught under my ring and peeled the skin back. Talk about make your eyes water.
