  1. First episode of 'Last King of the Cross' excellent. I hope it continues.
  2. So they've managed to buy an extra 90 days. I hope that works well for them. Getting hold of an Argentina visa is going to take some getting. Can't see it happening though. I think they'd have to return to Russia to submit an application.
  3. Well good luck with that gamble and they've got the finances to bluff it out. Even if Putin pops his clogs before they go back they've still committed a crime against the state and they WILL be punished. Putin or no Putin. https://www.kyivpost.com/post/1032
  4. I don't see that. Any Russian skipping call up will get his punishment upon return. And return he will do at some time or other. What countries are actually taking in Russian draft dodgers at this time? In the short term Thailand may be assisting with dodgy extensions but that's not long term. No point in delaying the inevitable. If it is then Russia will shut it down and Thailand will be in the do do with Russian tourists being stopped from coming to Thailand as punishment to Thailand.
  5. It's not about the 'lowest price'. It's about quality of service and the ease of using their websites.
  6. Break failure my ass. From the pictures there seems to be no securing chains which is normal in rural areas. Plus if the truck's brakes failed what did he hit to stop him? No sign of a downward slope to his front. If anything it's the opposite.
  7. Unfortunately it's a Thai thing and life goes on. Next accident please.
  8. Don't you have translate on your computer?
  9. Lazada https://www.lazada.co.th/tag/sausage-skins/?q=sausage+skins&_keyori=ss&from=input&spm=a2o4m.home.search.go.11257f6dF2Stob&catalog_redirect_tag=true
  10. I live out in the sticks and believe me they are overpriced. This is due to seeing a farang and knowing it's expected farangs to get charged more. Just finished my treatment yesterday and I'm pretty P'd off with the service I got.
  11. Don't be silly. Russia has many more troops than you can imagine. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1334413/military-personnel-in-russia-by-type/#:~:text=Russia's total military manpower was,250 thousand were paramilitary forces.
  12. But it's the citizens that elected them so therefore they ARE responsible.
  13. ED VISA CONDITIONS 2.1 ED Visa is valid for a single entry for education purposes only. 2.2 ED Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travellers must enter Thailand within the said 90-day period. They will be allowed to stay in Thailand for a period of up to 90 days, counting from the date of entry.
  14. All he has to do is plead that he didn't notice the error. If he leaves on time according to his original application then he hasn't committed an offence. Not his fault someone cocked up. He certainly didn't.
  15. What do you expect? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_Chinese#:~:text=Thailand has the largest overseas, population are considered ethnic Chinese.
  16. My understanding is they do not. It's use is suspended by the courts. Use it before the suspension comes into effect and............................ So it's unlikely his passport was suspended.
  17. I replied to a post which was posted less than an hour ago.
  18. Must depend on ones immigration office being as I've not noticed any changes at the Buriram office. What's this 'new round of tightening that seems to be going on?' 17+ years of being here and I've never been asked to produce a utility bill.
  19. If it backs up then I do not see one of these seals working. Fit a larger pipe system is the way to go in my opinion.
  20. My money was transferred from UK to Thailand in roughly 4 hours.
  21. Just done a 'Wise' transfer about an hour ago. Informed that my money will be transferred in '7 hours'.
  22. In the likes of rural Thailand mental problems are seen to be caused as being possessed by bad spirits. It used to be, might be still, that the family would take the possessed person to a temple and have the monks literally beat the spirits out of the possessed person. Not long after I came here in 2005 there was a case in the newspaper where the monks beat a young woman so badly that she was hospitalized due to the injuries the monks inflicted on her. Police became involved but I don't recall how the event ended.
