  1. No no no no. There's times when checking you can get it. I just bought a water dispenser on Lazada. The lowest priced one advertised free shipping. I saved delivery of 170 Baht.
  2. What is it with Lazada and free shipping? Many times I see 'Shipping Free' when looking at an item. But when I click the buy option the 'Shipping Free' option has gone and a 'Shipping Fee' is displayed and added to the price. I never buy when the seller(?) does that. Surely it's wrong?
  3. BS. What are those 'daily transactions' you do that the bank seems to ignore? Banks are strict in Thailand with regards to procedure due to 'money laundering'. I cannot see your bank allowing you to skirt their security rules in not showing your passport. It leaves them vulnerable.
  4. Absolutely correct. And as a matter of course they will take a photocopy to which you must sign. Too much BS from members now for this thread to carry on.
  5. Many many people stay in Thailand long term without acquiring a Pink ID card or a Yellow book. If there was any real benefit they'd be fighting to get them. But they're not. If I had my time over again I wouldn't bother with either.
  6. You don't. You should have a medical card somewhat the same as the Thais. You just hand this into records on your arrival to get confirmation you are on their books.
  7. I cannot get my name put in a Blue Book hence why one of the reasons why I obtained a Yellow Book. Even with Yellow Book I'm not allowed my name to be entered into a Blue Book.
  8. 17 years here. No serious advantages getting a 'Yellow Book'. I originally applied for it cuz they said farangs could get free medical treatment if they had one. I went through a lot of palaver to to get one only for the Thai government decided to renege on that. Don't waste yer time applying for a 'Yellow Book'. No real advantages. It'll get you a 'Pink Card' but that ain't much better .
  9. My mistake but the Blue book can be obtained at the local Amphur without a police report.
  10. Not really. I just think there's 2 sides to all stories. Until the truth comes out it's all speculation. And in the end we're not going to know the full SP. It's a dead story from the start posted by the forum for our entertainment. Same goes for the Pit Bull thread.
  11. 6,000 Baht is chicken feed to someone who drives a Lamborghini. He was probably quick to help the woman because if she didn't have the Por Ror Bor insurance she'd have had to pay in full before leaving the hospital. Also she may not have had the 6,000 Baht? Plenty of answers and plenty of questions to come.
  12. On par with Thai drivers Pit Bulls are insignificant with regards to being a danger to others. Do we ban all Thais off of the roads because of statistics? Of course not. We implement a stricter training regime where by Thais hopefully conform. The same could apply to dogs that fall into a danger category. My belief it'll be easier to get the Pit Bulls to conform.
  13. Have you got confirmation as to who hit who? Apparently a 6,000 Baht sum was given to her, lets say, for medical expenses. If she had the Por Ror Bor insurance she'd be covered. So with her being offered 6,000 Baht I'd go for the fact she didn't have it and therefore shouldn't have been on the road. All speculation but it's what I believe and what I think. Up to you how you interpret it.
  14. When involved in an accident leave it to the insurers to deal with it. That's why you have them. The guy covered her hospital bill as far as I believe. In my book he's done nothing wrong. Her, that's a different matter, she appears to have no insurance from my understanding and therefore shouldn't have been on the road. Whether he change seats has to be confirmed. I'll wait for that confirmation.
