  1. There's generally more to the story that isn't known from the initial post and usually the reason behind the few denials reported
  2. Phones are not suppose to be used in the immigration area with signs posted although sounds like something else was happening. Not sure about why the funds form but you didn't have to sign it. You could have tried to file an appeal but they generally try to strong arm you not to or claiming you can't. Bottom line they have the discretion (rightly or wrongly) to deny entry.
  3. Went in this morning to do an extension and arrived at 9:15. Had my copies of everything already just had to do a TM 30 (they require it each renewal or change regardless) and filed out a TM7. took about 10 minutes total for the forms. Got the TM30 receipt and walked next door for a copy of the TM30 receipt and back in under 5 min. Ms Nee checked my paperwork processed everything and I walked out the door with the extension stamp by 10:05 after chatting with her on some other future Imm issues for about 10 minutes. Aways great service from the staff there.
  4. Onward ticket service does not always provide a full flight ticket within 60 seconds. You receive a flight reservation confirmation of payment, but the Confirming Reservation with Ticket number and Confirmation Code is sent via separate email and could be delayed. It happen to me fairly recently and I received the confirming booking email along with a message that the confirming ticket reservation would be sent when office hours open again a number of hours later, (see below). I don't know if there was some maintenance issue going on at the time or if it was the flight destination I picked. It didn't affect me as I purchased the ticket ahead of time rather than doing as some suggest and waiting to find out at flight check in you need it and stepping out of line to buy one. I would be cautious and purchase ahead of time. If any information above is not correct, please reply to this email and let us know. Your ticket will be delivered in another email, after the booking process is complete from our end. You can view this booking order's details and its updated status at My Booking. Expect delay in the ticket delivery process! This booking order was made out of our ticket office hours and is queued to be processed as soon as our office is open in the morning (08:00AM GMT+07:00, approximately 5 hours and 10 minutes from now). Thank you for your patience!
  5. Got to the tourist police and report it. Don't expect to much help but they'll have the contact info of the abuser. If you post on social media your annoyance with this happening in such a high tourist area like Phuket and the concern others may fall for this situation you may get more of a response. Just be very careful how you say it.
  6. Maybe they just think your ugly and it has nothing to do with anything else?
  7. Check with your bank as they have limits on the amount you can transfer depending on the type of transfer company or service you're using
  8. According to the OP they have other assets. If he defaults on the rent on that lease or has damaged the property then there are other assets potentially available to go after. Without all the details no way of knowing but he disconnected himself from that lease for a reason.
  9. He doesn't need to invade the Chinese hold the vast share of power, influence and investment in the country already
  10. So thats what you got out of what I wrote? China and Russia both will pay dearly for there actions in all these areas. Do you think Russia has the money or ability to rebuild Ukraine if it won the war and took over that country with all the devastation they caused? China wants to claim the territories to expand d and control geography\resources. They both want the resources and could care less about the people. China is essentially broken financially although when you control the currency as they do it doesnt show up anywhere
  11. Both China and Russia are testing the water to see what the international community will tolerate and how far they can go. Russia has already taken several areas back o er the years and announced there intention to continue to take back territory they once held in Eastern union prior to the end of WW2. China likewise does the exact same thing. The have one eye on what Russia is doing and the world reaction to it because it serves as a barometer for them. They are heavy handedly taking sea area from Vietnam and Phillipines, and land area in Tibet and Nepal. They control most of the borders countries like Laos, Myanmar northern VN.and claim Taiwan as there's as well. Is anyone actively stopping them? Nope. They are fighting a war of silence from other nations while at the same time openly declaring the next big war will be against the US meanwhile slowly stealing IT property ever chance they get.
  12. Sounds like they removed his name for asset protection for him as step 1. They are probably sub-letting to the staff or others which you may allow or not depending on your lease structure. You should be requiring insurance in place covering the structure and all areas of your concerns and have a lawyer review it. If they pay good rent and on time that's half the battle the rest is just in case protection.
  13. Thai banks are not as secure as you imply, trusted is not tge word that comes to my mind. There insurance backing for default is minimal and interest rates are very poor.
  14. I think its a combination of extremely poor editing for updating as the websites have a new look, very poor translations and no proofreading. I don't think there's anything foreboding about it. Its just sloppy and very poor qc of IT projects which seems to be consistent with most of there projects in various sectors
  15. You kinda missed the point as this info is currently posted and people are reading it now, not a decade old
  16. There are several versions of English that very uncommonly connected. UK and Aussie (generalized countries ) often make up words or truncate words indiscriminately. The use of slang terms is common in almost every country and regions inside those countries. Depending on who teaches the language and their approach and formality of the use of the language you end up with a variety of conceptional translations of words and phrases.
  17. spell correction programs have taken over and it becomes annoying to have to constantly go back and change what's been written.
  18. One of the most ridiculous points about blocking the documentary in Thailand is that foreigners from outside Thailand see it worldwide and if that's their desired attraction it only enhances that appeal to go there. Most Thai's (not the Hookers and Ladyboys) don't go there for the sex industry although they know it goes on and turn a blind eye cos that cash gets sent back home and they can claim little Anong's a secretary and makes good money for the family. It has little to no affect in distracting tourism because it's known for being sexpat heaven and draws them like Bob to beer. Yeah some families may avoid it but the bulk of those going there aren't really going for the family outings.
  19. The Thailand Embassy Website was recently updated but has incorrect information listed under the Visa\VOA section and possibly other areas. It says the Visa Exempt Land Border crossing are now only 15 days with 2 per year. It also says that Visa Exempt AIr\Sea entries are also limited to 2 per year. As usual the language is poorly translated and seems confusing. Visa Exemption and Visa on Arrival to Thailand Tourist visa exemption scheme Eligible travelers U.S. Passport Holders are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 30 days on each visit or 15-day stays if arriving by land-crossing. • Entering the Kingdom through air land/sea/air border checkpoints under Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme is permitted only twice in a calendar year, except nationals of Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, and Singapore who may enter Thailand through such checkpoints more than twice in a calendar year.
  20. as i said if there is evidence available then its game on if the US and Germany or Thailand moves on it. The claim that they were arrested and bailed out is in the OP but that info can magically disappear which may well have been the case allowing those listed to leave. There's also confusion as the OP listed the suspects as 2 germans first then later added a german and american by name so the story is fuzzy to start with. Im not defending the situation by any means as its abhorrent but learned a long time ago of two things in Thailand: news reports here are seldom accurate and evidence, cases and paperwork seem to evaporate magically. If the US has enough evidence and chooses to pursue this good on them as its the tip of the iceberg but as I said dont be surprised if this, like most other illegal activities, evaporate into thin air.
  21. There has to be something the initiates the action by the US and depending on how these guys bought their way out there may be nothing available unless a victim comes forward
  22. There has to be some action that initiates the investigation. If there isn't a police report or charge its pretty much empty air unless a victim comes forward which is my point since these guys supposedly bought their way out of whatever happened. The US would need something to initiate their actions but yes they have that right to prosecute that crime as well as many other crimes.
