  1. Many people are in denial about getting old, they think they’ll go on forever Retiring is the end of your life. But surely retiring is the start of a new phase, it’s the time to take your watch off, switch the alarm off, let the young ones run around racing to beat the clock and the sunset. My older brother loves to tell me he won’t retire, he’ll work into his 70’s, I’m like why do you want to do that why not do stuff you want, and then I suppose he’s happy in his work or happy in his moment. I Know I’ll never have enough money, so why wait until your late 60’s to retire, I’m going to stop working when I’m 54-55, I’m 51 now. I’ll simply adjust my life to my finances and then get on with it, the kids will have to adjust why not now instead of later, we will die eventually so enjoy the last 10-20 years
  2. Celtic fans need to remember that Ange needs at least 2 transfer windows, playing in Europe and SPFL takes its toll on the players that’s why Ange is resting Ralston for example, if they don’t get any rest they’ll be burnt out or injured by early October. Unfortunately, 2nd in Glasgow is a disaster, whichever club is 2nd at end of the season will be calling for the head of the manager which is sad really. The bigger picture is European competition season 2024-25 https://www.uefa.com/insideuefa/news/0268-1213f7aa85bb-d56154ff8fe8-1000--uefa-announces-new-format-for-club-competitions-to-be-introduce/ The biggest change will see a transformation from the traditional group stage to a single league stage including all participating teams. Every club will now be guaranteed a minimum of 10 league stage games against 10 different opponents (five home games, five away) rather than the previous six matches against three teams, played on a home and away basis. The top eight sides in the league will qualify automatically for the knockout stage, while the teams finishing in ninth to 24th place will compete in a two-legged play-off to secure their path to the last 16 of the competition. Similar format changes will also be applied to the UEFA Europa League (8 matches in the league stage) and UEFA Europa Conference League (6 matches in the league stage). Subject to further discussions and agreements, these two competitions may also be expanded to a total of 36 teams each in the league stage.

    Golf Shoes

for me ECCO I've tried spikes less golf shoes, and my left foot seems to slip. note you can buy cheap hats, shirts, shorts even socks, but dont go cheap with your feet, get some good shoes then you'll be happier at the end of your round, i rotate 2 pairs which helps the foot adjust instead of the same shoe over and over. so buy 2 pairs of slightly different shoes same brand.
  4. The COE mentions Flights and Hotels So you cannot change anything, delay slightly yes, but no changes.
  5. I’ve had 3 shots of SINOPHARM outside of Thailand Jan = Feb=September. I’ve travelled in and out of Thailand 3 times since August 2020, tested many times and still only ever negative, so SINOPHARM seems to be helping
  6. I have done 2 ASQ’S and also 1 Sandbox Phuket Sand box wins hands down for me, being able to go out for a gentle walk at any time during your 14 days is way better than being stuck in a room no matter how big, everyone is different though. I think the cost of the Sandbox should be cheaper if you shop around, but depends on where you go after Phuket. I’m due to fly back in December and I’ll wait until 2-4 days before flying to decide Sandbox somewhere or ASQ, the Embassy have been really great with my applications previously
  7. Do you think thailand is the only country testing arrivals, or putting Int arrivials in Quarantine. ????
  8. Testing will continue, how else can a government tell its people that they are protected from anyone coming into the country. And double testing will continue, 1 before departure and 1 when you arrive. Accept it and don’t say it’s a money maker, that’s the Doom monger attitude, next you’ll go on a tangent and say vaccines are fake, and the virus is fake.,
  9. 8m is too short of a length, but its UP 2 U
  10. For me the breakfast is my favorite meal, it’s how I wake up, if I haven’t had breakfast I feel as if my day hasn’t stared. Its so easy to focus on what we don’t have. I’m truly worried about worrying and not seeing what’s happening in front of my eyes, someone said “people are suffering from Future Shock, the future is happening right now in front of our eyes “ I try to tell the children to look around and see whats happening right now, but they give that look of “you don’t understand, you’re too old to understand’ By then time we hit 50 we start to see the important things in life, and we realise what we used to worry about isn’t really that important now. How can we pass on this to the younger generation, how can we tell them that posting what you had for dinner to your friends is less important than having dinner with your friends in person? We should ban smart phones for 2-3 days per week to reconnect with each other

    Estate Agent Fees

Most agents in Pattaya start with 5%, but you can negotiate with them, some have offered me 2% Please remember, You MUST decide what you want NET after all costs have been paid, tell the agent what you will expect as a minimum, if they sell it for more then good for them but at the very least you’ll get your NET price. You CANNOT list too many times, make sure the NET end price is confirmed to all, many agents group together just now and split the fee’s. Tell yourself the NET price, and move on
  12. The UK as other countries are now moving to the next step in the pandemic The control measures have now ran thier course. We are now in recovery so things will appear to get back for travelers. 2022 looks great so far, possibly normal travel “could” return I believe we will still need to show some sort of negative test result within 48-72 hours before being allowed to travel, and perhaps testing upon arrival at airports.
  13. Very true indeed, we DONT want a pool to add to the resale, However I can't see my self going to an external pool now, the property we are looking at already has a pool its 8m-2m so too small and it wont get used properly
  14. Dr thanks for the fantastic insight, if you're not specific then they have every right to say "you didn't ask for this. you have to pay more" I would do exactly the same. I think the Basic Shell should include ALL underground utilities, and any future expansion works that you may not finish in the 1st phase. we're going solar with battery’s, so that needs to be added to the Basic Shell list my list keeps getting added to, and the future Project manager needs to be aligned with me before he starts
  15. This looks like a really nice place to relax in, however the pool doesn’t seem large enough to swim in for a sustained period, maybe that why it’s not getting used as much as you thought This will add value to your property and maybe attract people. We’re not looking for that, we’re looking 10-11m length, I think its called a Lap Pool
  16. my thoughts today are "NO Pool" but i need to exercise, so I need to read more about the day to day or week to week stuff. we're going for Solar so i don't see the electric as a big concern.
  17. what list is this? Europa league group stage? https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/clubs/50050--celtic/squad/
  18. I’m guessing the finishing part will be 25-40% of the total costs, people will Pimp out the final build because the Heart Normally Rules the Head. My Total budget will be based on initial Build, then a further 50% of that to finish up furnish Pimp it out etc. So say 3m build, 1.5m finish, so I “THINK” single Storey 250m2 = 4.5m so approx. 18km2
  19. Sorry I disagree If you can’t get your money to grow more than 4% then it’s a waste. People who use piece of mind are deluded, there’s plenty of ways to earn more than 4% with ZERO risk.
  20. I have a OA and confused, i have never been asked about insurance at immigration, ever
  21. some of them live on 35-40k per month, i wont comment of this, Up 2 Them they transfer money in and out the same money 35k Twice per month
  22. The recycle method works for some people who are unable to afford to send 65K or have 800=400 stuck in a Thai bank Recycling gives them an option of keeping the visa valid. And at the same time you can invest your money in other countries where you can get more growt, I don't know anyone who is happy having 400-800k without any growth
  23. You’re telling me not to do this and not to do that, I take you had an bad experience. I want this area, my wife will follow me. the size is 2,300m2 and I'm a keen golfer who plays at Siam 2 - 3 times per week. my wife wants to Farm all day every day I plan to have an expat project manager, and I believe this will remove the strain of having your other half as translator, I believe that’s the biggest mistake in LOS. We plan to take a back seat, and speak to the PM every 2-5 days on certain things.
  24. I did say 'I'm not talking about what you need to live on, but to comply ONLY"
  25. thanks for your post. Unless the previous house matches what you want, then you may end up buying a house that doesn’t suit your needs. We have a general idea what we want, and this will be the second house in Thailand so we have an idea what doesn’t work well also. Checking the integrity to the roof tiles should have been dealt with by a robust QA-QC process, for example spraying the roof with X amount of water until you’re satisfied its sealed properly. So many fine points to follow up on I agree
