Swedish Man Arrested on Samui Island for 75 Days of Overstaying
Captain Monday replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Good. But do they become a public burden then or are their living costs assumed by charities and or private organizations? -
Did you stop masterbating after marriage?
Captain Monday replied to OptimisticAndy's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Some years ago this crusty Captain I worked with who had married a nice Asian Lady his own age when still young asked me a question. "Hey Monday, have you ever had sex with a 60 year woman"? Me "No I haven't " "Neither have I" . -
What you describe are real investigations similar for actual US security clearances. I can get a FBI check at a place in a mall fingerprint shop in 48 hours. Required for OA visa. Should be required for all from USA to identify these American lowlifes who have long rap sheets for assault, fraud, theft, drug dealing, etc., and the anti-social behaviors what define a criminal lifestyle. These men are near guaranteed to re-offend after entering Thailand. Nobody should care if you "ran a red light" but what if you have DUIs? Maybe let you in but not allow a vehicle rental or driving license. Let the Thai authorities decide.

That is a jailhouse mugshot lucky for you you are not trying any dating over 40 in the USA unless you have a few million and drive a Lambo. Unless drunk had she stopped and rendered aid as is required under law in any State of the US there probably not been any criminal charges laid at all under these circumstances. Very bad judgement.

Not necessarily. Visa free travel could continue for countries that share criminal record data with Thailand. Like Canada and US do with each other Allowance could be made for low risk persons like children, guided package tour participants, and those over 65. Every country has a different threat profile. Do 30 percent of adult Icelanders, Japanese, or Ugandans etc. have a criminal arrest record? Americans do. So, we should not be let into Thailand without criminal checks. https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/just-facts-many-americans-have-criminal-records-college-diplomas

Criminal organization, drug dealing, Interpol notices, serious assaults illegal businesses tax evasion and rape. Listen, people don't just come to Thailand and suddenly become hardcore felons none of these people never should have been let in the country in the first place. The whole immigration system needs reform and home country criminal checks should be mandated for most travelers prior to flying to Thailand. Unless, they actually want the Kingdom to continue as a haven for the criminal castaways and lowlifes from around the world.

The beauty of using an agent.
Captain Monday replied to JeffersLos's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I used an agent to get my 5 yr DL's renewed this year. The licenses are valid all requirements apply. At the Transport office it can take hours now you are paying to for to get the appointment expedited and cut the lines. I guess you can call that corruption. They have pretty "Lady" there too and no doubt as to their gender assignment at birth. -

Swedish Man Arrested on Samui Island for 75 Days of Overstaying
Captain Monday replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Expats staying in Thailand know, maybe not casual tourists but normal people do their research How can Thailand tell what IO at the airport are letting in the country without a check of home country criminal records prior to grant of period of stay? A small number of miscreants cause almost all problems -
I never said I was highly moral or even good. Simply I do not commit crimes on purpose. Criminal records should be checked for all not just a few visa types like OA. Let the Thais decide who to let in in the first place. Those who have done porridge or been arrested and fined for a number of anti-social offenses that define the criminal lifestyle in their own country are due a bit of scrutiny are they not?

I have made up my mind. The laws regarding human migration should be 100 percent eliminated. We can take up discussion of right to work, get public assistance, voting etc,, in another thread. -
Confused re 45 day VOE
Captain Monday replied to rogerpattaya's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My experience is similar 20 plus years. Only asked a few times about onward ticket or visa and no problems when I didn't. I use one way tickets. I only fly to Thailand from Asian countries never UK, EU. Mideast very rarely. Example Jan 01 2023 SIN-CNX Scoot air asked nothing at all by check in staff. -
Thieves steal gems worth $1 billion and disappear
Captain Monday replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thai business partners tried to fleece an American for giant gems smuggled from Burma then all parties double crossed by bent cops who bailed with the loot leaving the Kingdom holding the bag for court ordered damages ? -

Actually I don't believe there should be any visas, overstays, or even borders. Just let people live where they like as long as obey laws and do not become a public burden. Of course there should be leniency. Some dullards on the Elite program ended up with long overstay and bans because they were convinced they had a "5 year visa" despite notices in the Elite program description and endless emails! Perhaps Mr.Christopher Swede knew and thought he could get away maybe he was heading to the airport in a few days? ????♂️. The risks don't seem to be worth it. -
Where they had it torn up by the canal I was sure to cross the road to face traffic. Very dangerous especially at night with light traffic/high speed at least you might have some seconds to bail out into the construction pit to avoid !

Thailand looks to upgrade Firearms ownership laws
Captain Monday replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
All should be registered and cross referenced with a criminal records check. A requirement for mandatory safety and secure storage training, yearly recurrent training and psychological checks should also be implemented with all costs born by the user.- 15 replies

The usual victim blaming and mIsogyny from AN besides, this one caused particularly vile embarrassment at the worst time. "Mummy" is no longer around to cover for him and Charles III is showing he will be firmly in holding the purse strings for the remainder. If his Royal Highness the Duke had a better judgement he could have continued with plenty of reasonably aged strange whilst continuing the so difficult life of official duties and extreme privilege.

They are incurable. There needs to be kind on an international Devil's Island set up for these fiends. Then they can watch porn and fiddle each other with NO possible chance of ever encountering a child or female for the rest of their natural lives. -
