Rule on running engine while refueling
Captain Monday replied to itsari's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Throwing a cigar in a pool of fuel will smother it. The fumes are the dangerous element and can be ignited by a spark. When you flick a lighter there is a tiny spark first that is momentarily much hotter than the butane flame. The main danger is a spark from static electricity I don't knpw why cars are not required to be grounded but planes are. By a metal cable prior to touching the fuel nozzle to the receptacle which have brass fittings also. -

Captain Monday replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I could care less. So I care a little bit but almost none at all if I really cared I would let you know. For now I would prefer to procure a medium coffee without the "How are you?" Fine thank you and you? so I try to fit in but every casual interaction I have with locals when I return to the US is stilted and unnatural I think they don't find my concern with their well being to be sincere. -
What you will do if it will happens to you??
Captain Monday replied to Cuadrado's topic in Rent or Buy a Condo
I would All fake . I would just open the BONVOY app and book at Le Meridien, Marriott, Sheraton etc. like you should have done in the first place. Real estate scams are well known and ongoing. -
You can say that but at least I caused my own the suffering. Of street dogs in Thailand the PROBLEM is entirely created and maintained by so-called animal advocates who refuse to take necessary actions. As proven for decades all over the world. At worst it is another form of "selfing" where one puffs oneself up falsely by actually causing animal suffering on this vast scale.

Rule on running engine while refueling

Wonder how dangerous it really is? The planes you board are being fueled all the time simultaneously with the APU running. Of course the aircraft is grounded to earth with a metal cable before the fueling begins. -
Travel Insurance – travel from Thailand within Asia
Captain Monday replied to Bubbha's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
I hope to never again buy redundant and useless "Travel Insurense" Only during the scamdemic when Thailand demanded for entry. The O-A visa a bit of a defferent problem Nothing more then a bit of paper to satisfy immigration, coming in. -
So that is where all the copies go? Complete with the passport and personal dtails of unrelated innocent foreigners on the flip sides.

Resumption of bull, cock and fish fighting and betting approved

Soft power. Like if Japan were to announce "come to Tokyo and eat whale sashimi". -
The stretcher kits I saw used whilst working on a previous airline cannot be put sideways over a row of seats. 9 seats/ three rows were used with the stretcher lengthwise and needed to be paid for and there was thus room for three attendants/relatives in the aisle seats also . Still cheaper than any kind of charter flight even if the seats need to be blocked for the return to base. Talking 737. Maybe there are stretchers that can be mounted on a center row of a widebody aircraft?

Bravo to the Red card proposal! My country is full of anti-social useless lowlifes. I have read 30 percent plus males have an arrest record and we cant get rid of them either. This is not about Thais. Entering Thailand is a privilege for Foreigners not a right. More should can be done to keep out foreign crims in the first place by requiring criminal record checks but off course foreign scofflaws and trouble makers should be sanctioned of re-entry to the Kingdom.

Thai Airways investigates cabin crew incident – ‘Tray Gate’
Captain Monday replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
So the FAs got a month off without pay. Punitive action against crew certainly the old way of in-flight service management. Has the reasons for this breakdown of basic safety function been identified and addressed in a positive manner, and any other negative trends that may contribute to a serious incident in the future? Or maybe just lazy cows who needed a kick in the rump.???? -
Thai Airways investigates cabin crew incident – ‘Tray Gate’
Captain Monday replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Not a big deal but obvious landing checks were not undertaken properly, at least in her row. In the positive safety culture that should already be in effect at all airlines such incidents should be addressed in an open non-punitive and positive manner. The purpose to identify and mitigate any negative safety trends or degradation of operational performance that might lead to a more serious occurrence in the future. -
The US can only win in a denaturalization case in Federal court if theshe was not qualified to get citizenship in the first place or committed fraud on the application, not crimes the person is convicted of after naturalization. Remember the Nazi camp guard from Ohio? If Sue agrees to return voluntarily do they have to proceed with an formal Extradition and the delays that might entail?

Do not think they should have targeted expats, married, retired there should be other insurance options for those on long term visa or extension. How about following thru targeting wealthy and "quality tourists" over quantity? People pay $250 per day to go to Bhutan don't they? It is 2023 time to actively discourage the sexpests and crims. Home country backgound checks before entry are desperately needed. Visa free travel should probably be banned from countries that cannot provide an active online database to Thai immigration.
