Anybody can have a bad day but I don't think you come to Thailand and start punching ATMs like in the violent broken society one arrived from. Where nothing seems to work. Where just walking down the street and can be deadly. Was the ATM broken or is he having a card or bank issue? Completely inexcusable behaviour I'm sure a simple criminal check would show this guy has a long list of anti-social offenses to his name and should never have been let into the Kingdom in the first place.

How do YOU know the ATM wasn't damaged?

Anutin and the Chinese: It's doing the right thing not the economy

An excellent rational plan. The most important thing to do about covid at this point at the National level is to stop talking about it. It is an endemic respiratory disease world-wide. Like colds and seasonal influenza. So yes it could be deadly. Take your jabs. Follow medical advice and basic precautions. If you are at high risk, maybe you should stay home or in a care facility. The virus is never going away. Time to move on- 40 replies

Foreigners. I was at a BKK bank ATM and a man to my left having suddenly punched his ATM screen so hard I had no choice but to look suddenly. It was a white westerner who said to me then "It's out of order" in an accent of my country, U.S.A. How would you react? I forced myself to avoid making a sneer of utter contempt as if striking an ATM is some kind or normal and simply walked away. The bank was still closed otherwise I would have grassed him to a guard.

I was not sure I could do this but I'm getting nearly a nearly two off one O-A visa .I was granted it by LA consul Dec 2021 in USA. (eVisa). The period of insurance being an issue as it is clearly indicated on the visa. I entered Thailand in November for a short visit within a few days of my enter by date at BKK. With my insurance from 2022 plus a new one year policy I purchased that overlapped my old policy by 16 hours. I had asked around and nobody could give me a straight answer if I could pull this off other than completely vague "up to you" to "cannot". I did have a backup plan. The IO lady at BKK very pleasant and within a few minutes after looking at both policy papers stamped me in for another full year. I got a multi re-entry permit at the ChaeingWATTANA complex before I departed in early December. The process to get a re-entry permit there was efficient, Got there by Taxi opening time out in an hour even after doing photos and copies myself at the shop. I entered Thailand at CNX airport by non stop intl flight this time very easy. This time no requests or examining insurance papers. No huddles with multiple agents consulted as usual or delays. I flew to Thailand on a one way ticket as usual never asked by the airline to show onward ticket or visa. The entry stamp appears to read NON-RE instead of NON-OA. I'm good to late Nov 2023.

I thought it is toxic? (unless one is a Koala ????) -
Be sure it is OK with the Condo bylaws. My building does not allow any Is it a Condotel? Then not hotel, rentals shorter than 30 days are illegal Foreigner can't do any WORK like cleaning, handing out keys without work permit Taxes on all rental income are payab;le TM30 notification to Immigration required if Aliens stay there. So it is probably OK and legal under strict circumstances if you use an estate agent to do all the legwork and pay their cut. If you don't enjoy leisurely retirement why not just get a thankless low paying job to keep busy? Then after some years of diligent tax paying and visa extensions apply for PR.

In Three years how many tourists ended up in in Thai hospitals needing this level of care? And as always having an insurance paper is "never" proof hospital debts are paid.

What is the alleged purpose of these so called restrictions? Reportedly the Chinese tourists need 3 doses and a PCR test to leave China anyway. Mandatory "covid" insurance was perhaps the biggest rort/rip-off of the pandemic. A burden on travelers that achieved nothing overall, utter nonsense at this point,

"The Chinese government required outbound Chinese travelers to undergo RT-PCR tests for COVID-19 and receive at least three doses of COVID-19 vaccine." So China requires passengers do PCR testing to leave China even if the country they fly to does not require it?
-
Even with a "new variant of concern" these tests will at best put off the inevitable by a short period as has been proven around the world even countries that mounted the strictest quarantines throughout the pandemic. Already announced air crew are exempt from testing requirements to enter the USA from China. The virus is forever. Everybody will be exposed to it, get it with symptoms, be asymptomatic, survive, or die. Border restrictions do not work.

Yes. Any mall, condo or car-park. Happened many times at the airports here in recent years must be triggering for some to have to leave. Due to ease of access many men in US use guns sparing unrelated passersby the horrid sights usually reserved for close relatives and First responders. There is also the serious danger these high flyers pose to people they might land upon in these cases. https://www.thaiexaminer.com/thai-news-foreigners/2019/10/07/finnish-man-jumped-floor-suvarabhumi-airport-bangkok-authorities-died-hospital-10th-person-since-opening/

Exactly. This unaccompanied male travel thing proven to attract too many crims and sexpests to Thailand where they are not needed or wanted. Not months either. In the OA visa case my FBI check submitted with eVisa application approved in a few business days. There could be specific categories such as children under 16 and the aged traveling on group tours with their foreign spouse to keep them on a short lease that could be waived.

When did Thai Elite Visa start?
Captain Monday replied to mohsen667's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you are not yet 50 not working in Thailand and not married to Thai, great way to go. I would have signed up for another 5 years but at certain point in 2020 the PE visa was actually a hindrance to enter Thailand as you fist had to go through the TEMQ process to get an authorization from MFA before Thai Embassy or Consul would issue the required "Certificate of Entry" . I got an Non OA from Los Angeles that year. There is nothing such as the Thailand Elite visa by the way. It is a membership programme offering various benefits and services depending on the package you apply from. Including the PE visa. -

I remember her. Was here husband Japanese? Spoke to a guy there once wrote his name in a notebook somewhere. Years ago I had a hard time finding a duvet cover in Thailand she took a king size I had from US and altered it to a smaller size for me.
