Only one thing to say...which is generally not specifically...the Thai engineman don't hit the horn enough when approaching level crossings, if at all.
This is how it should be done.
Nothing to do with the size or speed of the train. All about giving motorists plenty of warning.

People are getting herd immunity in other countries so a year from now it will be no more worrying than the flu....in other countries. Thailand might be the odd one out! I will wait and see.

Medical only cannabis woulds be a great product to farm but they put plenty of obstacles in the path of potential growers. He11, the wife has 5 rai of steep hill country no good for mango trees WE could use if we'd could get a licence.

Foreigners do not usually figure in the Blue Tabian Baan. The yellow Tabian Baan is not proof of ownership.
Your right. The Bangkok Muppet show would know this already so a farang owner needs to show proof of payment.

Willy looks pretty well feed. All the layoffs don't seem to be causing an anorexia type reaction to the pain being inflicted on his serfs.

I wish I had a crystal ball to see what cockamamie scheme they come up with next. The point of discussion is absolutely absurd beyond belief....like so much of what they are saying and doing these days.

Would be interesting to see the data from Western countries to check that claim.

And how many infected Burmese have snuck across the border without being detected? There are no medical personnel stationed on the jungle paths between the 2 countries.

Did y'all even read the article before starting your Thai bashing? They're saying the CLEIA screen test maybe producing false positives since most of those cases are turning out negative when tested again at the hospital with the RT-PCR method.
I wonder why some of you even want anything to do with Thailand let alone come here since all you seem to do is jump at any oppotunity to moan about the place and the locals... Way not stay where you're happy?
Have you considered many on the forum are not residing in Thailand? But I do agree with you that some posters may not have read the full article..... ????

Seems like that plan is to screw you over in a big way or keep you out. And if you do do it how long do you have to keep your 3 million in their dodgy bank?

Omg, so many people here still haven't gotten over the "dirty farang" thing???? I didn't even care and didn't know who said it. So it was this Anutin guy apparently. He indeed successfully got many of you.
Oops, your naivety is showing! ????

Sounds like a krap job to me. As a kid I picked black berries so my mum could make jam. It was a <deleted> of a job.

Absolutely absurd! I checked my Android phone and there is a long list of tracking apps. Instead of wasting a mountain of money with an IBM developed app all they need to do is buy some cheap Android phones and install a free tracking app. Every sucker (tourist) gets one. I am sure there are a few thousand cheap Android phones floating around out there....there sure are plenty on Lazada!

Whether the slew of vaccines under development are effective or not only time will tell but I do know the pharmaceutical industry folk must be jumping for joy at the prospect of an avalanche of money coming their way very soon.

I like watching others get their hands dirty. Mine need to be clean in order to hold, in this order: beer/wine, burger, Mrs P, the dogs.
Each to his own! But do tell, does Mrs P know she is behind booze and burgers? Got a pic of the dogs?

Words fail me.
The words that fail you are jail and time. Those 2 words need to be used much more often here.

welcome back visitors vital to its economy.
When they put it like that it is quite concerning! At the start of the Wuhan China virus there was no mention of the word vital in regard to tourists. I doubt very much I have not read or heard every comment or statement but I am sure the hotshot posters on this and other forums would have mentioned a statement such as that.
So with the drop in tourist numbers and the associated job losses in tourist related (and non related) jobs the monkeys in charge of the country wide circus are starting to get some blowback from the organ grinder. Starting to see a dip in the profits at the mega conglomerate organ factory are we??? I think it will be an amusing and interesting next 12 months!

I think the idea of having senators has some merit...unless of course they were installed by a puppet government who did not consider the citizens may want choice in who represents the Bangkok elite.

As I keep saying "December" start of high season will be when reality comes crushing down on what is left of the tourist industry.
The hope they have now is the government will relent and allow tourists to come back with few restrictions so they can have some high season customers. But from the look of it the government isn't going to do a backflip....yet! And even a moderate start up would take many weeks. Planes need to be scheduled, staff need to be sourced, cheap tacky tourist tat needs to be sourced from china. December is 6.5 weeks away. A government backflip was needed at the start of September....
Forget 2020, and most of 2021. If there is anything left to house and entertain the tourists aim for December 2021!

I take the bus to and from Bangkok and I find it amazing when I see the Red Line. This one project must be costing trillions of baht. Where is the money coming from? That trains are being made in Japan....where's that money coming from? The tax base here in Thailand is not that big. Would I be correct in assuming it's being paid for with loans from China?
