I would have to agree, Pattaya is one big toilet. Why build a new one when you already have one.

I rather enjoy the potholes, it slows the crazy motorbike drivers down. The other day I saw a girl driving a motorbike in heavy rain holding an umbrella with one hand and the bike handle with the other. She hit a pot hole and went in head first. I almost died laughing. I wish I could have gotten a video of that and submitted it to "Bad driving Thailand."

"I'm sick of Thai food and I'm sick of Thai people" said just before the old German man jumped in anticipation of his death in Bangkok. I read about this story in the BP a few years ago and could understand his feelings. Sometimes I feel the same way but am not to the point of taking the fatal jump. Hopefully, I will be out of here before that happens.

The problem is that even with a good management company the Thai co-owners do not want to spend money on maintenance or improvements and modernization. This is why condo buildings in Thailand depreciate every year and the reason the Thai's want to buy only new condo projects. Buying a condo in Thailand is a very bad investment however, if you want your own place to remodel and enjoy than that priority will supersede your lose of investment.

I enjoy riding in my 2.5 V6 vehicle here in Thailand. No worries with trying to find a recharge station or worries involving battery fires.

And this is the reason that the Thai Immigration is requiring expats to have health insurance. I do feel sorry for him but his predicament is by his own choosing. We as expats are being critically reviewed because of the few that do not pay their medical bills.

I took a walk along Beach Road today to see the many shade trees cut down to build the new walking trail. I almost cried when I saw so many trees cut down. There was extensive damage done to the beach from the rains today. How are they going to build a new walking trail when the beach is washed away?

Its all about money in Thailand, the trees are in the way of parking spots. Whats more important than parking spots for the horde of buses carrying Chinese. It's enough to make me scream.

I have an appointment for the Pfizer vaccine tomorrow at MedPark Hospital. I signed up using expatvac. I will try to include some pics tomorrow.

I received an email and a call today from MedPark Hospital for an appointment on August 17th for the Pfizer vaccine. The funny thing is that in the email they addressed me as my first name but then quoted another person as getting the vaccine. I tried calling them back but the phone number that they called on was not available to call back. So I do not know what the heck is going on. I will try to call back tomorrow. I just heard from a friend that he was able to get the Pfizer vaccine from MedPark today. So it looks like the system is working..........somewhat.
