  1. Nothing wrong with catching a buzz using alcohol or weed. Letting it control you is wrong. Over doing it also is wrong. You build up a tolerance and it takes more to fell that buzz again. The longer you abstain, the better everything is.
  2. I've noticed some of the questions are really out there. You can see their tests don't really have a bearing on what happens here daily on the roads. The tests in the US aren't that hard but you do have to study the book, because some things are forgotten and others you do every day you don't think of but just do. I see that some of the answers can be more than one, and even if you're right, you're wrong. Perhaps they should research what they do in other countries and then apply it here?
  3. Boning up just before a test always helps. Here is one link to study from. There are a few................https://move2thailand.com/driving-license-exam-in-thailand-2020/
  4. No one can say any nationality is the better of anything unless they've been with all nationalities and many of those also. Personally is all you can say because it's just opinions anyway. The best lover I've ever had was a white woman years older than I was in my late 40's. The Thai's here have been good at some things and not others. More into pleasing than being pleased. like it is a duty learned. If someone has been with a couple of Latinas and they were good, and if he had a few caucasians that weren't, does that make Latinas better lovers or that just his choices earlier weren't right (for him)? There are wild girls of all nationalities, and duds also. The same goes for the men. A man that doesn't know how to romance, or please his woman won't get much in return, unless of course it's a paid service, and then it's not personal but a job, and a personal lover is the best you can have, because what they're doing with you is what they want to do, and not what they need to do.
  5. Actually 47 can be old if you haven't taken care of your body, and 70 can be old if you did. 60 isn't old, just older. I've seen people in their 40's, especially growing up since the 50's, that look much older. Look at a lot of the older actors, boozers, who in their 40's look 60. Chronologically, 47 isn't old.
  6. AA is where alcoholics go after a hospital stint to detox. Talk therapy works for many things, and sharing instead of keeping it inside shows others are also having trouble and they can relate.
  7. There are books from Lonely Planet on all countries. Vietnam is on the bucket list next year, and I have the book. It shows many things you can doo all over a country, including hotels, food and sights.
  8. Listen to your words Bob. A keeper should never be subjected to you being around other women, as they are the hardest thing a man can find on earth.
  9. Another assumption based on personal opinions. Many here have good wives and girlfriends, and living in another country doesn't exempt you from gold diggers. A poor country has more looking for someone to take better care of them , as the locals many times fail. All do not have Thai boyfriends. and some have never been near a farang. My own girlfriend was married to a useless local who didn't work or support his family, tried to sell her to his friend, and abused her. I'm the second man in her life and she said in the beginning she would never be with another Thai. I hear this many times and it's not all about the cash. Stay out of tourist areas and your chances of meeting a woman not through the wringer is better.
  10. STI's can be caught by most anyone, as women that aren't loose can also get one, as can men. My point is that your chances of getting an STI from a prostitute is much higher than from a normal women. That's a well know fact. Medicines can help when you get an STI, but are not a guarantee against getting one.
  11. STI's can happen with many women, but with hookers your chances are way higher of catching something. Like I said, if you don't like white women, leave them to the billions that do, they won't miss you.
  12. That wasn't about me, but putting you into a quote, Claiming most have bad breath STI's or are smelly means you've been with a lot, "or are you saying, "I've had 3 women, and they're all smelly with bad breath and STI's? Some here assume all and what they mean is the ones they've been with. .. ..... As far as me personally, I've been with many women and not one had an STI. A few had bad breath at times, as everyone does. Ongoing is a problem.
  13. Started by Christians, who use God as a helping tool, but again, they accept everyone, including Atheists, and it's more a spiritual thing, knowing you can help yourself if you really want to.I know a few friends that attended, and stopped or curtailed their drinking, and God was never pushed on them nor anyone else while they attended.
  14. Claiming most have bad breath STI's or are smelly means you've been with a lot, or are you saying, "I've had 3 women, and they're all smelly with bad breath and STI's? If you don't like white women, why bother using Viagra?. Better to let them be with someone who appreciates a woman no matter the skin color. White skin is cherished by many, especially here, as many Thais use whitening cream to look western. Problem is, it makes them look odd. Thais are supposed to be brown(ish).
  15. True, but what you catch might stay with you a long time, or forever. And Australia, along with all other countries, has young, beautiful women for sale.
  16. It does work, at a good rate, especially when combined with hospital treatment first. AA is spiritual based and not religious. There are many Atheists that attend...........https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2746426/
  17. What is your definition of fat? One pound more fat than you need, 10 pounds over what's recommended by charts? Which doesn't take into account body fat percentages, because many have very little fat and are considered overweight. 20 pounds, 30? A BMI of 25 is considered overweight. Is overweight a disease or only obesity? Overweight leads to obesity many times. How does one become obese? Overnight? No, of course not, it takes time, so their thinking is already off when they start and let themselves get to that BMI of 25. That would be considered a disease. Diseases many times start slow, like cancer and heart disease, then get out of control because prevention isn't applied.
  18. Some have opinions and some things are facts, and also disputed. This is one link, as there are many on both sides................https://www.drugrehab.com/addiction/alcohol/alcoholism-disease-choice/
  19. He is actually right in his thinking. Obesity is recognized as a disease by many health professionals, but some disagree.............https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/obesity/symptoms-causes/syc-20375742
  20. Genetics are maybe half of how a person becomes an alcoholic. Most everyone has friends who drink, and most everyone tries a drink when they are young. Part rebellion, part curiosity, part wanting to fit in. The problem arises when either a person is prone , by genetics, to keep going overboard, or liking the taste of drink, and drinking with friends until they get hooked. Some people should never drink, either being predisposed or by a weakness to let it take control. A person can drink wine or a beer everyday and not be an alcoholic, if they can go without it when they want. Drinking a twelve pack or a bottle of whiskey every day is a problem. The body gets used to drinking and the mind also wants it. Many have depression worldwide and drink to make the hurt go away, at least for awhile. Self medicating is done with drink and drugs, whatever their choice, and isn't a substitute for an antidepressant drug (the right one). So many see their parents drinking a lot and think it's okay. My mom and dad drank a little now and then, and I saw it as socializing. I tried drinking when I was young, getting drunk a few times and not liking it. I was always into fitness, so that kept me away from most of it. I got into wine, learning a lot about it, and enjoyed, with friends, many bottles of good wine. Even had a collection of a few hundred bottles. I always shared and never drank alone that I can remember, and with the wine, it was a couple of glasses and not to get wasted. I can take it or leave it, and I'm glad, because I've seen what it can do to friends. Some drink to forget, but it doesn't happen for long. Life is till there when you're sober. Some drink because they are hurting and angry and again, life comes back, and anger and drinking gets many in real trouble. The only way to "cure" it, is not doing it. Will power has to be learned if you already don't have it, and AA is there because many don't. Just like having depression, talking to others in the know, feeling heard, helps more than most anything.
  21. The only time I have comfort on the usual 12 hour flight across the ocean is when I'm the only one in three seats across so I can lie down. No interest in paying more money for a bit more leg room.
  22. Wearing helmets, both rides, and no more riders.
  23. Whats the alternative to never flying again, especially if you're going overseas? I guess a bot works, but it takes awhile longer.
  24. Some go overboard. My daughter has one arm almost covered, along with a couple more. She was involved in a not so good crowd and that's what they all did. telling them what you think goes in one and out the other.
