Tell us how you yourself are superior, let alone all others of your kind. -

I don't put Thailand down. I put down those that are doing wrong, no matter where. The US has also protected more countries than any other, which you seem to miss. If it weren't for the US, Japan, Germany, England and Rome would be the dictatorship leaders. I'm not political, so Maga boy is yet another of your many assumptions. If the US starts a war with Iran and China, it's because those countries are harming someone where we have to get involved. -

There's a thing called google. There you can learn where inventions came from and who did what. Assuming because it's in your nature or believing other's opinions doesn't tell you the truth...............https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/inventions-by-country -

What are they doing exactly? Do you not remember what white Australians did to the aborigines there in the past? -

It seems you are the product of racism and prejudice which usually starts in the home. You like lumping everyone from one nationality into one group, all being bad because some are. All Aussies aren't idiots, just as all Brits are drunks and haters of the Irish. Again, you,m and no one else here, is any better than anyone else, especially because of your heritage. England did some really bad things in the past against other countries, but I don't look at England as bad. Just at the actions of some moronic sociopath leaders and their clueless followers. Just as some Japanese and German soldiers committed atrocities, it isn't right to lump all of them into that category. They were disturbed and most aren't, just wanting their families and peace. Better to judge individually, after you've seen that particular person for quite some time before you judge. -

Many went back because that's all they knew. People can get accustomed to almost anything, thinking it's normal when it's actually hurtful, illegal or plain wrong. Not that it's right but just how it is. All slave owners didn't beat or rape their slaves like we have been told. Slave ownership is wrong, and there's more slavery now than ever before. Now we call it things like human trafficking, prostitution and workers on boats. -

Most countries have brought things to be that others enjoy. This doesn't make the originators better, just innovative in some ways. Americans are from all countries by heritage. Most came there for more freedom, away from dictatorship of harsh laws, corruption and bad politics. England might have started some things, but others have taken them up and became better. This happens everywhere. -

Yes, but they wanted the same things the whites did, and not to be controlled and killed by them but to get along. -

Who is superior to who? Actually, no one is superior to anyone else. Anyone who thinks so is racist, misogynist or prejudiced. Taking over other countries doesn't make you superior but a sociopath, along with those that go along with it. England tried this with a few countries, including America, where some didn't want to be told what they can do or can't do, and England found out the hard way, as did Rome. -
Thailand’s Songkran: 200 Deaths Mark '7 Dangerous Days' of Festival
fredwiggy replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It seems there's less deaths during Songkran than any other normal week during the year. 50 to 60 deaths daily compared to 200 in 7 days. I'm thinking more traffic, which means slower driving, has the numbers lower. This along with more walking and throwing water than out driving. -
Trust goes a long way in relationships. Some have bad intentions, use, cheat, betray, because that's all they know. This can make others think all are untrustworthy, when in actuality, many can be trusted but not in every way. Some withhold the truth because it might hurt the other person's feeling, although it isn't betrayal as in cheating. They say everyone lies, and this is true, but some lie about everything and hide things which are important, like fidelity or finances. Most people don't go into relationships and have children thinking they might not be theirs. That would be really bad, and the endgame would be no trust throughout the relationship, which is the most important thing. Thinking your dad isn't your dad would ruin many families, so most don't go through their lives with that thought. Most can usually tell if their children are their own, so don't even think about it. If there is doubt, you shouldn't get married in the first place or have children.

What makes low grade DNA?, although it doesn't exist. Does this mean some people are worth more than others, better "humans" perhaps? Would this mean we should have our DNA tested before we "breed" with others? This would mean those that think this way actually think they are from a better "grade" of DNA than others, that they're somehow worth more as humans and those with this low grade need to be forced to not breed with others of better grade DNA, as their children could come out "wrong". This is the epitome of narcissism, actually thinking others are inferior because they didn't have parents of better DNA. I'm guessing good health means you had better parents, better DNA, and those with bad health had wrong DNA and it wasn't their lifestyle that hurt them? If you look at many of our world leaders, they are full on narcissists, thinking mainly of themselves and that they can do whatever they want and get away with it, as history has proven. This doesn't mean they have better DNA, but that their parents were also narcissists, neglectful, abusive or spoiling in their actions, which made them became narcissists themselves. People have been breeding for generations, and no one knows all about their family trees besides word of mouth, which isn't accurate and which can hide how their family history really was. Some think because their parents were okay, that all of their relatives must have been from "good" DNA also, not realizing they could have murderers, sociopaths and serial killers in their family history without ever knowing it. Funny how some here stick up for others of the same ilk, others who are prejudiced or racist but because they said something they liked, automatically they're okay.

Bachelor’s degree in the Philippines
fredwiggy replied to Pistachio's topic in Teaching in Thailand Forum
I see personally the results, as the school owner I work with, an American trained Thai, sees what happens with all manner of teaching, and playing games like I mentioned, has those who are not into learning the language, getting involved and learning by fun. The education system here fails by comparison to western teaching, and the English teachers here, meaning the Thai ones who have English as a second language, well many just don't do the job properly. The kids are bored and boredom doesn't make for a good learning environment, in English or any other subject. Thinking many parents care about their children's education is also wrong. Many don't, and school is just the babysitter as soon as the child is old enough to enter. As far as edutainer, not I hadn't heard of the term used here., although I knew what it meant for many years before I moved here, seeing it in classrooms as a child. That I do work in the education system with my friend's school had you assume otherwise. I go to many camps here and see how children get involved in the game playing where they do learn some English. Of course it's just a part time thing, as the classroom is supposed to be the best teaching method. That it isn't is the fault of the schools and government. The teachers that I've seen here, both Thai and foreign, are different in their methods, with the native English speakers doing a better job, both in work given and getting the children involved. -
You aren't an authority here, and most locals throw water at anyone who passes. Consideration isn't a thought here in anything, which includes the Songkran as well as the driving habits. You have to go outside more as I've only been here 7 years and waving them off rarely works, especially if you have children on a scooter with you. They do not care period.

Tattooed Tourist Assaulted in Songkran Soaking Incident

Witht the daily reporting of a foreigner doing something wrong her, some don't realize that 99% of criminal and stupid activity here is still locals against locals. -

Not that I've seen in 7 years here. I was coming home with my 8 year old daughter on a scooter and just before we go to our village a kid throws a bucket of water in our faces, which isn't safe. When someone gets decked for this they deserve it. You don't play games around children on scooters. I don't care about getting wet, as I have many times, but anyone who throws water at moving scooters, especially with children aboard, deserves what they get. Just after that, we got sprayed by a watergun, which isn't a problem. -

I'm guessing you mean entertainers. yes, a teacher can sometimes be an entertainer, as that's sometimes the only way to get trough to stubborn children who don't care to learn another language. I do realize as I helped out quite a few times at an English school here, as a native English speaker. -

A native English speaker is already a step above the local English teachers, who spend much of their time just giving out sheets of paper to copy. Just talking to the children teaches them how to speak, and teaching them progressive classes helps many of those willing to learn, as not all care and just go through the motions. Some schools require a degree and some don't, but you don't know which ones until you research. A teacher that can have fun with the children, teaching them while playing games, goes a long way here. Getting them all involved has them learning when regular classes might fall behind. -

Taking the officers from the schools is only letting the criminals know it's open season on those kids. Like Joe Clark did in cleaning up Eastside High in Paterson New Jersey, it takes tough actions that never stop to curtail the violence and drugs getting in, to protect the children so they can get prepared for life without fear. The death penalty works against those who were definitely guilty of murder, but doesn't stop others from killing, as they think they won't get caught or don't care if they do. A life sentence only costs taxpayers money, so that isn't the best solution either. It all starts with education and good parenting at home, as criminals don't usually come from a loving family environment. people are taught to be predators by their caregivers.

True, but they burn everything and many perish because of upper respiratory ailments, drive with no consideration for others and die 60 a day all year long, have children ride on the tops of buses until one flips and kills a few, allow boys to breed without consequences, treat their woman like second class material and wonder why they hate their own men, eat raw fish in Somtam and not take into consideration how many die every year from cancer, steal from each other and talk behind their backs and wonder why there are very few true friends here, and love puppies and kittens when they're babies and let them roam unchecked to breed and cause problems for humans and animals when they reach a year or two, along with many other things that are not thought of enough to make a change.

If I'm walking during this time, I expect it and dress accordingly. If I'm going to a store, I'll ride in a car, as I know there are disturbed individuals that don't think of the consequences of throwing water at a motorbike rider, or simply don't care. It's their holiday, so adapt or stay inside the car or house. If it's done in fun, both parties throwing water, that's never a problem, as most act from what I've seen. I have seen some throwing a bucket at a motorbike rider and that can hurt or kill, and has.

Concerns Grow as Injured Foreigner Vanishes After Bar Brawl on Koh Lanta
fredwiggy replied to snoop1130's topic in Krabi News
Petals? Snowflakes? Do you actually think there are people here that you are tougher than? Assuming without knowing has a man hide when reality hits them. This man was likely stabbed, maybe by a local or another foreigner and maybe because he was defending himself. Stabbed means someone, a coward, the usual perp here, who felt the need to carry a weapon because they're the coward. Brawls happen, but here it seems the usual things some carry include a weapon, meaning they're looking to use it. It's easy to act tough online where no one sees the real you, and best to avoid the talk, especially seeing it's usually used by those who avoid confrontations with people their size or bigger.
