  1. I do about 40-50K per year so for me yes, it's a necessity. One huge advantage about driving yourself is you're not putting your life in someone elses hands, just look at the amount of RTA's here...... My fleet includes: 2 SUV's / 1 sedan / 2 big bikes and a scooter, i use them all for various reasons.
  2. Can see loads of people in a care home making use of that pool, looks really user friendly.........
  3. Are you suggesting for one to 'live their life' they must hang out in Soi Bukhow and Soi 6 areas? - wow! But there will be hardly any hospitalizations based on what's happened elsewhere in the world, i'm really confused you don't understand this????
  4. So everytime you have no response you call BS? If you honestly think a strain will come out that once infected you'll die you really need help..... The amount of people having a bad reaction to Omicron is tiny, or are you suggesting it's worse than previous strains ( that were dealt with )? I've not once said thailand will be different, they will manage like many countries have with much much higher numbers, or are you suggesting they won't? Most people i know are now not concerned at all about Covid, you must be one of the few people that thrive on the doom adnd gloom, can't think of a reason why but up to you.
  5. Well logic tells you it will be the dominant one, right? which most people recover withing 3-5 days if they even realise they have it. What about a link from you saying it will?? yeah thought so. You're sky news links is from more than 2 weeks ago, were these new nitingale wards needed? yeah did n't think so. Best thing you could do is go meet your mate Phil and speak to him about it, sounds like a top bloke - lol. That's right, you're one of these bloke that packs a woody claiming to know bar owners, forgot that....
  6. Based on what's happened in countries with 100-200K cases a day and beds not being filled, yes. Don't know, don't care. Of course they will bit waeker, or do suggest it's gonna become deadly for everyone that gets it? Yes, are you suggesting it's not? It won't. You do understand you can self isolate at home now right? or did you miss that memo? They won't need to.
  7. I know a lot of farangs don't go anywhere near downtown Pattaya and are sensible about their movements. I don't know anyone who know's this idol Phile of yours. The expats ( like you ) socialize with bar girls - lol. Do what if Covid goes through the expat community?? end of the world? very few will require hospital treatment. Deal with it, things are improving.
  8. It's not dominant any longer No it won't, what other countries has this happened with Omicron? The bigger problem has been a lack of medical staff, not amount of beds. Thailand hospital beds will not fill up, end of conversation.
  9. This is my point that you continue to miss, the hospitals are not filling up, the virus is getting weaker, the end of the pandemic is in sight. You just like to continue with the doom and gloom, you must be gutted to see Tree Town is absolutely packed - lol
  10. Comedy gold. You think mpst of the expat community go to see Phil from Le pub - lol. Pure quality, pls keep them coming....
  11. It not a concern anymore, no one speaks about it. They will, open up with less restrictions, why are you against this happening? Nonsense
  12. If you're willing to pay for it ( or have the insurance that covers you ), the medical facilities here are much better.
  13. Don't let one particular member hear you say that, he's been predicting doom and gloom for Pattaya since before Covid. Good for you getting back mate, enjoy!
  14. Don't know and don't care, it's a mute subject. Not really that new is it, what about 2 months now? They said before xmas wait till after NY, what's happened so far, not many hospital admissions and certainly nowhere overwhelmed as you suggest.... Just get on with your life mate, that's what most sensible people are doing now.
  15. Watch the news, find your own info. I will ask again, did you see the hospitals overwhelmed up until this point throughout the last two years, it's YES or NO, not hard.....
  16. It's gone now though ( mostly ), right? Are you suggesting field hospitels will be over flowing?? Really? Most people i know that get symptoms and even bother to take a test ( many don't ) just stay at home for a few days then test then carry on with life. Are you suggesting if you do a home test you should notify authorities and rock up to a 'filed hospitel'? Really?? Wow...
  17. But the virus now is not as potent and self isolation at home is on tha table now, i disagree with you, things throughout the world are slowly getting better, why would thailand not? Or are you suggesting they'll be people in hospital car parks due to lack of bed space?
  18. I thought they had this event a couple of months ago, or was that something else?
