  1. Just use your Google account (set up if needed) - turn on sync in Chrome and can save and get on any device. Works very well and easy to use. Have been using several years now - previously used LastPass.
  2. Cataract surgery is an out patient procedure with more than 100k done at government hospitals here each year.
  3. Yes and yes. It is also cheaper, reading glasses cost almost nothing. And most insurance will not pay for multi focal.
  4. Daylight (cool white) is the only logical option in Thailand for many of us - candle (warm) is exactly that - too dang hot for the temps here. It is easy to replace tube with those using LED lamps these days and for most use they are fine - much more expensive would be hidden lamps around room but that is major renovation (but it can look nice).
  5. Obviously that charge would be for major treatment and ICU as ICU itself is only about 25% of that price at highest tier hospitals. https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/services-and-facilities/inpatient-accommodation/intensive-care
  6. As said total nonsense as no insurance is required for such a conversion extension of stay. No reporting for 90 day is required after first time as that can be done online. One visit to immigration each year for an hour or two for retirement extension of stay is normal time required at most locations. Yearly costs: trip to immigration/tm7 1,900 baht/bank documents several hundred baht/re-entry permits if needed.
  7. And for good reason with information like that.

  9. Today's news for USA (now available over the counter) - perhaps soon for UK? This will greatly decrease costs I suspect. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-fda-finalizes-rule-over-the-counter-hearing-aids-2022-08-16/
  10. Medical items need official import permit (although often get through in small amounts), Customs duty is cost plus shipment and can be very high. Stated duty on Ebay for an ostomy item seems to be 50% according to seller. Unless paying under about 1,500 baht including shipping it is normally better to use Lazada or Shopee even if more expensive if it is an option.
  11. Sorry - anything more than one seems to be an issue as get older. ???? Is this site ( https://aseannow.com/) in Chrome memory so tab opens when you open Chrome? Settings/on startup/open a specific page or set of pages.
  12. Do you mean Chrome is closed? But you said happens every 10 minute period of inactivity.
  13. Not talking hospital types as electric beds are starting to be a thing it seems. Several makers offer full single width (3.5 feet) and normal style bedframe and some offer thicker mattress (but suspect that limits sitting up somewhat). But the fact it has helped you makes up for any high cost I suspect.
  14. But for some items it is valid as they will take care in transport and/or assemble for you - recently purchased an electric bed that would have been a nightmare DIY.
  15. Try untick one time and set again. Probably will not do anything but worth a try. Do you have any special programs running, like security suite or such? You might also want to go to your cookies in browser settings and delete everything for 'aseannow' to be sure nothing messed up there. Is there a sign out option on your laptop perhaps (power management) that would allow sign off after 10 minutes of inactivity (to save on data/battery usage)?
  16. He is not in Thailand and already has a new passport.
  17. 3 years ago and they have only sold 2 units per link -Indeed at 180k a bit pricey as electric beds are available for about 20k single wide here for those not too heavy. Never found non level conductive to sleeping (from hospital stays) as need to turn often - but have almost learned to dose off in a recliner as pass the 80 mark.
  18. Appears to be carry on bag so probably not cost effective to repair. Perhaps a shoe repair person would have ability to fix if they could find handle. But suspect they are few these days. Maybe check with the airline?
  19. Believe you should plan to have financial proof available for a new o visa and extension of stay if possible. Suspect there is no procedure to recover previous extension of stay after a visa exempt entry (which would normally end any extension of stay).
  20. I bought below MS8231 6 years ago on Ebay ($15) and have found it excellent - probes are hard wired and everything automatic. Do not believe available on Lazada or Shopee but is here (but a bit more expensive now): https://th.aliexpress.com/item/32800382217.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2tha
  21. Well to me 1,500 plus baht for a couple of labels is totally excessive. Perhaps a copy store would have and could make or just use the tape over printed (which I would not consider tightwad if renting). If you can use printer for other jobs then it may make sense (or if renting Hilton price range).
  22. Am not sure if talking about computer or phone but can not remember the last time I had to log on to the site using computer. Do you perhaps have something set to hibernate after inactivity for power saving?
  23. Although likely cheaper than a private hospital costs in government hospitals are not cheap as they need to pay/replace equipment just as a private facility and most are not paying for service. Where government hospitals are much cheaper is surgical procedures/medications and such not involving costly imported equipment.
  24. Indeed they are usable - but they are not Nokia or Samsung phones - just look similar. But for basic call and SMS they work (but perhaps usable life a bit limited and if switch to only 3G and above is made will become unusable - but at the price not much of a loss).
