Is this the right time of year to get Influenza Vaccine….? Chiang Mai.
lopburi3 replied to mikey88's topic in Chiang Mai
April seems normal here but anytime after a year from last one. As there are tourists from everywhere best to just make sure you have. -
Lawyer says farang can own one property
lopburi3 replied to Duke007's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
From my non lawyer understanding: 1. You can own property - you can not own land (except in special investment case mentioned in thread). 2. You can inherit land and property but it must be sold to a Thai within a year. -
Then she has free options as Sheryl pointed out above if doctors feel conditions can be relived by surgery.

You quoted the MRI results in OP - and conditions were reported as mild on that report. You have a non Thai girlfriend (no insurance seems to indicate that)? Chula would seem best choice if having to pay and funds are short. My wife had spine surgery there 20-25 years ago (twice - took more out second time so not press on nerve) and has started to have symptoms again. But believe another consultation or two should be made prior to any surgery decision. FYI: recently wife, at age 83 and not interested in any more operations, has had good results relieving symptoms in leg using a Japanese drug, although it is not cheap (and not approved in US). Opalmon 5 mcg [210 tablets] 7,250 Baht taken 3 times a day.

Immigration 90 Day Print-Out
lopburi3 replied to Moti24's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You do not say where you are doing but immigration, even in Bangkok, is basically still a hard copy haven - last week they had to get last years hard copy file to prove what method I had used for retirement extension of stay (money in bank or income). Some offices may not require you fill out if have history with them but basically you are submitting a new TM47 for each report. -
As said easy to order on Lazada as psyllium. Not a fan of power taste myself so always order Now Foods, Psyllium Husk Caps (although more expensive than plain psyllium husk).

Immigration 90 Day Print-Out
lopburi3 replied to Moti24's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You always fill out a new TM47 (online you just paste previous information using mag glass icon to fill out form) - the print out from immigration is a receipt for the previous report - not a report itself. Be sure to keep a copy to make sure future reports are exactly the same (assuming no change in address and not already in computer). -
I did a 100k transfer yesterday using IBanking the same as always so that must have been because you set your phone up for photo use. Reports above say it is not required until next month. As I do not use/have smart phone or a camera on PC guess will have to pay in smaller amounts if/when becomes a rule.

Be aware: Re-entry permit
lopburi3 replied to RafPinto's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Appointments are limited and are at one desk at set times and may not even keep that desk busy. Other desks are processing normal walk in queue tickets in first come first served order. But yes it could be 2 or 3 hour wait so appointment makes sense for most. -
Be aware: Re-entry permit

Not bad that you did not know - but very lucky it was taken care of before departure. -
Be aware: Re-entry permit
lopburi3 replied to RafPinto's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Re entry is keyed to current permission to stay - that was superseded with the new one year extension of stay obtained later so indeed it is not valid. They were very lucky immigration officers caught this while there was still time to fix.- 23 replies

If a Thai citizen gets married to a UK citizen for a few years
lopburi3 replied to hydraides's topic in Marriage and Divorce
Do not believe marriage has much effect unless they leave Thailand and become a citizen of UK. Children from marriage would be able to obtain UK passports however I believe. -
Very unlikely any local insurance will cover preexisting conditions and if a Thai based insurance that may include just about everything - rules are very loose and fast. As said controlled drug so would require buying from hospital (private hospital drugs costs can be high) and would require local doctor to prescribe (doctor fees are not that high however).

Student Killed in Gas Explosion During Fire Drill
lopburi3 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I bought online few years ago (but admit did not check if safe to eat food after using) ???? Was after outlet/fan type fires when have had a few with cheap items bought at large stores and potential kitchen use. https://www.lazada.co.th/tag/fire-blanket/?q=fire+blanket&_keyori=ss&from=input&spm=a2o4m.home.search.go.11257f6dz6Xc7B&catalog_redirect_tag=true -
A single entry non immigrant O visa is valid for use for 90 days from date issued and provides a 90 day stay on entry. There is no one year stay unless you extend inside Thailand using TM7 application and meet financial requirements and such. There is a multi entry type O visa that is valid for use from date of issue for one year and provides unlimited number of up to 90 day stays during visa validity. Perhaps that is what you mean? It appears if multi entry visa is the option you do not want to obtain too early.

Retirement extension Bangkok using income

TM30 receipt was removed from PP and copied by IO Officer when I did not provide few years ago and have provided and it accepted since. I normally provide Google map - forgot so made a hand drawn at desk. Bank statement was from 12 June (requested) but not obtained until 20 June and covered period mid June 22 until 10 June 23. BBL has never provided same day statements for more than six months. Cost 200 baht. What is required at CW is letter of account ownership and updated balance and passbook update - which does not require any deposit or withdrawal at BBL. But letter costs 100 baht. Bank does not provide photocopy in my experience. I have 800k in bank in the event there is an issue proving income. As stated I did not know when I would have documents so did not want to make an appointment unused (and prevent someone else from having). -
Documents: Bank passbook/copies showing foreign transfers over 65k each month, Bank statement for one year. Bank letter same day of account ownership/balance (obtained CW branch). TM7 with one photo. Hand drawn map to home. Passport/copies/tm30 receipt copy/tm47 receipt copy. Arrived 0830 - went to bank and obtained bank letter - went to copy shop to make copy of passbook update. Get extension forms pak from information desk 0850 (TM7 already filled out/printed from computer) Get queue ticket 0852. (no reservation as did not know when bank statement would be available) Get called about 1140. Get passport/bank books back 1300 after lunch closure. Note: extend using income method but bank account also has over 800k - it was noted funds withdrawn to below 800k after previous extension during 3 month period after extension - as extension had been based on income was not an issue after checking but appears compliance for bank account extensions is being looked at closely.

Many reviews available from this sales point (seems to be generic with many sales names) - very cheap (as are a lot of electronics recently from China). It appears to be single point so only for a shower. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/konig-4500w-i4329977063-s17249035242.html
