  1. Actually you have to have 800k in bank for 3 months after obtaining extension and then can go to 400k until two months before next extension when it must return to 800k.
  2. First make sure it is not a remote control setting - most have economy type settings that allow more temp change from on/off/on. Also why set for 24c if that is too cold? Do you mean to counteract the long delay for restart? Take out filters (like cleaning) and check the temp sensor (it may have been pushed against the coils during cleaning).
  3. As I posted there is no requirement that 65k monthly or 400k/800k be in such an account made by Thai immigration or banks for normal deposits. What you have is a bank requirement required forwarding money directly from US Government to protect bank from possible withdrawals after death of account owner. Those using Wise/SWIFT or other bank to bank transfers do not have such a requirement.
  4. Indeed it was a requirement when using New York office to transfer funds - which is no longer an option. Bank is responsible for return of funds paid after death so this was a check on that.
  5. There is no such requirement for 65k monthly accounts or 400/800k yearly accounts.
  6. You have started Windows defender anti virus I hope - that should be all you need but important to have something.
  7. As a test you get nothing using these links https://www.jetstar.com/th/en/home? https://www.thaiairways.com/
  8. The visa is issued for marriage to a Thai - there is nobody asking questions if you stay allowed 90/cross/return for next 90 as many times as you wish. That is fully acceptable.
  9. Use both Tops and Lotuss here in Bangkok. Tops Prime is good and use 2 or 3 times a week. Have been using both for years but before name change mostly Tesco for price and selection (although stock control was not good). Since name change stock control much better but price seems higher for many things - but still use on occasion as wide selection but only next day delivery.
  10. Based on a Bangkok Post report from 2 days, 5 hours earlier. ????
  11. If you have a multi entry non immigrant O visa you can enter as many times as you want during the one year validity (from visa date of issue) and each entry allows up to 90 day stay (with only a border crossing/return required for another 90 days). You would only have to apply for visa once every 12-15 months using that system. If you really prefer single entry non immigrant O visa there is nothing to prevent doing again, and again. But suspect for most the multi entry type would be both cost and effort effective.
  12. It has been an extremely hot year - normally have rains to cool things down from April on but not this year (few rains but most days sun). Suspect you also run temps in the low 20's rather than the 27c that most of us find pleasant when not working and normal sea breeze not make up for AC most days this year.
  13. Over 5 baht a unit is about what it should be with tax/fees added for high usage private house. My bill in Bangkok last month was 9,121 baht for 1636 units so about 5.57 baht per unit. Yes we live in house full time but do not have 36,000 btu air conditioners (largest about 13k). Nor AC the refrigerators (they are designed for Thailand heat).
  14. You seem to have posted a lasik surgery link - not the lens replacement (cataract removals) you appeared to be asking about. Do you have cataracts?
  15. You are aware that many (most) doctors advise single vision lens? For not using glasses there are two paths. One uses long vision in one eye and short in the other and your brain does the work (hopefully). The other uses multi vision lens (which is very sensitive to position and not always successful). Insurance plans do not normally approve multi vision lens as they are more expensive and problematic. Most people are fine with cheap reading glasses rather than taking the risks of other paths. But for others they are a fit.
  16. https://savannakhet.thaiembassy.org/th/page/visa-fee?menu=5d84a44c15e39c26b4004542 5,000 baht for one year visa. There would not be any contact with immigration as you would leave/return every 90 days or less.
  17. It may be possible at same office as issued but, at the questions asked you above indicated, best to avoid.
  18. As above multi or single entry O visa from Savannakhet is available and if get multi can cover up to 15 months with 90 day border runs, and could be extended for one year when you get the 400k in bank. Be sure to read requirements (invitation note from wife and copy of her ID card believe is required). If travel from Bangkok/Pattaya believe frequent visa run vans have all inclusive plans (you do have to stay a night in Savannakhet).
  19. You do understand you can enter Thailand before 26th of December (enter Christmas) for a new 90 day permitted to stay stamp (unless other reasons for the Savannakhet trip)? Visa expiration has nothing to do with permitted to stay allowed on entry. So that would give you until March to make the Savannakhet trip.
  20. Are you in city - out in country - in Chiang Rai? If severe would not trust to beauty shop as they may not have a clue for anything but normal cutting. Medical clinic or hospital would seem to be logical path - there is likely a nurse or two with some experience.
  21. Did it work OK after change of tank? Probably best to have someone check for you (at that age could be pump issue). Is it hot to touch when stops working by chance? Believe all have thermal overload to shut down when overheat.
  22. You do have a water tank you are pumping from? And it has water in it? Sounds like you may be pumping directly from water line (not allowed) and there just is no water to pump? That type of pump should cycle on/off as it is a well pump that once pressure gets to set amount stops and when falls below low set point turns on. As for the tank that may also be the issue if you have water to pump - tank must have sensor from old tank installed (or a new sensor) connected the the pressure adjustment. Also as mentioned tanks need combination of air and water to operate - unknown if you have bladder tank or not but if not can get too much water in tank so no air to push it out and need empty. Any shophouse selling tanks/pumps should be able to provide someone to check.
  23. That money will go to next of kin just like any other account. Yes it takes time as must be approved by court but nothing special about that type of account.
  24. You seem to be set on throwing the baby out with the bath water in latest post but unless you need for frequent travel laptops are often not cost effective or needed. And if required highest cost units are most often not required by most computer users. These days a tiny computer that can attach to the back of 32 inch monitor (or TV) for less that 15k (including monitor) is a viable option for many and would be more powerful than most laptops. Below is just one example.
  25. April seems normal here but anytime after a year from last one. As there are tourists from everywhere best to just make sure you have.
