  1. No but last update 11:32 and website not loading fast (obviously worldwide interest). https://www.thaipbsworld.com/timeline-will-it-be-pita/
  2. Understand you have not viewed since posting but if you can provide nationality and country of residence it would help people provide correct information.
  3. Know what you mean - been there, several times - but always have red face even if nobody else finds out. Was meant in jest rather than a put down.
  4. With yesterdays news today.
  5. And if obviously has not been sorted out in a couple of hours - now 18 hours since last post to Facebook and they could do that from a laptop without a website.
  6. Baht revalued 7 times today by Bangkok Bank. https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/View-Rates/Foreign-Exchange-Rates#
  7. They are not fussy about photo in my experience as they take computer photo which is what they use online. Just normal passport type photo should be fine - even the size is often not an issue. Do not recall any such example for TM7 photo - for passport photos yes - from Consulates.
  8. Facebook is not their website - an issue with their computers perhaps?
  9. Why would you think a yellow book or DL needed? Most people don't even have. As said your old card/passbook and passport should be all that is required. But if your passport has changed that will likely have to be updated first.
  10. Facebook site is up - but no new content from Bangkok Post has been posted - you can comment on current posts.
  11. Actually no posts on Facebook either for last 15 hours so does not appear to be just a website issue.
  12. Not sure why you would need that much heat - normal single point heater is 3.5 or 4.5k and provides enough heat for most locations. High wattage units run into issues when trying to mix water with the normally almost hot "cold" water of Thailand in my experience.
  13. Suspect that is the issue - believe passport can only be updated at home branch and to get card/passbook will require update
  14. More recent reports are that a crane lifting a section of roadway into place failed and dropped it onto a 500 meter section of the 2km elevated roadway causing the collapse. A construction accident.
  15. That is fine if he buys that type of LED and had that type of fixture - but OP may not even have starters - he said energy saving - which is often no ballast/starter type.
  16. Indeed - if talking florescent find it better to just buy fixture and lamp together (fixtures are dirt cheap) and change everything (they sell together) and you know right lamp/fixture.
  17. The only limitation would be base/voltage - if the same no problem - but most of the time light color will be a bit different so may not look good. Be aware of dimmer limitations however.
  18. Actually until some future date US Medicare will not pay for it as there is no method to apply for coverage in place (special rules apply). It is not a cure and you still progress but for up to 30% it may be a few months to a year slower path. As it is known as the "long goodbye" now not sure that will be much of an improvement for anyone but the drug maker, those selling and those taking care for renumeration. But, as with cancer, we tend to welcome any extensions of stay here on earth as positive. https://nypost.com/2023/07/07/da-approves-robust-dementia-drug-that-slows-cognitive-decline/
  19. Bad experience? They can happen everywhere.
  20. Cebu airport and Clark (Angeles City) are flight alternatives and from reports better than Manila if going to those locations. But if flying to multi domestic locations Manila would make sense.
  21. 1. Manila would not be on many peoples list as most desirable place to stay so might consider others if no special reason. Manila has very attractive areas but they come at a high cost (price will be much higher). Might want to view some YouTube videos. 2. Yes entertainment is available most places - but not as in your face as in the past. 3. June to December. 4. Most people would not start in Manila for what you list - there are latterly thousands of islands to tour but from Manila going upcountry into mountains and western beach locations are only a few hours. But other islands would be normal and again viewing a few YouTube videos should provide you a good overview. 5. Pork is normally a good choice - in cities there are all kinds of fast food from around the world (and getting the population a bit heavy). Philippine food is not often rated highly by travelers (they make do) as limitations on availability due to being so many islands does not make for fresh ingredients always being on hand - in areas of foreigners such as Angeles/Cebu/Dumaguete and others there will be a lot of good western food. 6. Yes - that is the big plus - especially if looking for serious relationships.
  22. But if this is the same it seems to have severe caution https://www.lazada.co.th/products/scg-15-5-58-rubber-tube-i667008421-s1302050221.html? Caution Avoid being pressed by heavy objects. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. After use, it should be hung to let the stagnant water flow out completely and then store it in the shade. #SCG #rubber hose #PVC
  23. The poster I responded to said retirement accounts could not have ATM or electronic access. That is not true, as I stated in my quote, for normal 65k per month or 800k yearly accounts. It can be a bank requirement for direct US government deposit accounts, but that has nothing to do with immigration rules.
