Indeed the large bananas have been really bad the least couple of months - even if paying highest retail price. Quality is just not there and they about half the size.

Non-O Based on Marriage to Retirement?
lopburi3 replied to ajs73's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Another poster says 60 days requires local marriage KR2 form so if true would not be available - but believe it is up to official discretion rather than specific paperwork and designed for providing extra time as you might need so would give it a try if you need. -
Non-O Based on Marriage to Retirement?

You were officially married in Canada and claimed you were single in Thailand to got married again? Or did your Consulate just confirm already married paperwork? USA requires State of marriage confirm first and then it is made official for foreign use by Dept. of State. Consulate can not do that due to privacy laws. -
Extension of stay - exit country
lopburi3 replied to hank69's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Be sure you can obtain such visa from country you plan as for retirement most will want to issue non immigrant OA visa which also requires mandated insurance. I would just get another marriage extension (unless marriage is over) and then travel on a re-entry permit and the following year change to retirement. -
Extension of stay - exit country

As said just have financials available next year and apply for reason of retirement. No need for a new visa entry. Immigration may want your wife to be present to insure she is aware of the change. -
I understand that but now that can be done online not that much of an issue for most. And I have only been able to take advantage of online last several years as entry date was too old previously. Foreigners should be reported by owners of housing so if that were 100% there should be no need for these 90 day extra reports (other than the original law). But as we know many owners of apartments/rooms and such fail to report - so we get the stick with this extra check.

Believe you can extend your 90 day stay for 60 days on basis of visiting wife if need more time. -
Strongly advise getting it corrected - can be an issue at some point by some official - especially in today's world. We had issue over 20 years ago in Chiang Mai where airline/immigration was refusing to board granddaughter (Thai names) due birth certificate name in Thai slightly different than airline ticket (and they are much more strict these days). Luckily we had attachment to birth certificate explaining error on original BC but it had to go to the top for approval.

Do not believe he would have any issue extending any non immigrant O visa entry for retirement if he can provide financials. But it is possible to do the marriage extension of stay by following the rules. Believe this starts with State marriage recorded in paperwork to State Department in DC and then to Thai authorities but should be able to search procedure for details. I would avoid agents with a ten-foot pole. -
Actually size it is normally marked on the wire insulation. Suspect you want a tank water heater - something like this? https://www.lazada.co.th/products/40l-i4733600447-s19611129784.html?

Passport always runs from date issued - they allow early issue as many countries want at least six month validity remaining on current passport for entry so passport can be unusable for travel during last few months of validity. Until you visit immigration and put information into new passport the old passport will be on file. You will have to do that transfer before next extension of stay in January.

I would suspect the response might be from the address you sent that email. IE the email made it but destination a scam address or hacked and sent you that response. Never, ever, click on a link in such a case. To prove just try to send to another address and have them advise you of receipt.

It is still easy to make a border run to Savannakhet and obtain either a single or multi entry non immigrant O visa on basis of marriage. If he is not planning on extensions of stay, but wants to remain in Thailand for extended period by using 90 day visa entries that would be logical path. Sorry have no idea on how evisas work (if being inside Thailand when issued would be accepted or not).

I indeed had less at 75 than now but find smart phones too much of a PIA to bother with (have made several tries). They change response at the slightest mis hit and become almost impossible to restore - can understand why uses can not take their eyes off them - NTSC (US TV color system which as been called Never Twice the Same Color). Phone almost always changing response/display. And at this point my eyesight is just not up to the challenge.

But your 15 years gave you experience - for us using mouse controls on computers and phone for voice it is not a time in life to make such a change. The screen is too small and often does not even know we are human (no touch screen response to our dry/cracked fingers). So we can not see or adjust screen display - much less type letters/numbers. But if we forget phone (our memories are also on fade) could be serious loss involved. I will stick to computer and dumb phone by choice - and fully appreciate I am in the minority. But let us pass before you remove ability to even bank.
