Actually there is a more logical 4.5KW model from most now and that should be fine for most locations (upcountry mountains an exception) and should not require re-wire of house.

Almost all the shower heaters are so designed here. I hope you are at least using a multi point heater as normal heaters are also not designed to have a tap on output. Have never had much luck with temp control in hospitals/hotels and such here and suspect this is due to the cold water actually being almost hot most of the year.

Appears he may have retired early and not receiving any SS (believe that starts a bit after age 65 now but do not receive so not sure exactly). Many have savings they use until SS kicks in (and often end up spending much more than they planned). Suspect he had little or no knowledge of Covid visas - that was designed for tourists and unless visit immigration or read forum most likely would not know about it.

My post was on IBanking - not sure about MBanking as use computer rather than phone. The IBanking options were removed start of November.

Suspect so - if have dishwasher easy to put in that and believe most have no stick finish should be easy enough to hand wash when required. But really do not need to do every time as temps will kill any bacteria.

Actually this was stopped about 6 weeks ago with no notice and then followed with only notice it stopped start of November. No reason provided and as they will not accept foreign credit cards no alternative for many (unless happy with COD). As the system required entry of SMS code for any transaction it appears someone lost phone and never changed phone number in Shopee.

Am no authority but it would seem that blocking airflow defeats the purpose - the idea is to have direct hot air flow on all cooking surface. Without that times will be longer and in effect becomes a normal oven.

First time Applicant for Retirement Visa
lopburi3 replied to Rovering's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If deposit using Wise is marked as a local transfer download the PDF from Wise, which will provide the path used, and go to Thai bank listed to obtain paperwork showing it came from overseas (there is a name for it but forget what it is). Just the PDF from Wise (along with bank book/statement) might be accepted but best to get the extra proof from the Wise paying bank. -
US residents with Medicare and MediGap plan G
lopburi3 replied to Onerak's topic in Insurance in Thailand
Actually I would be more concerned with those based in Thailand/BKK as there seems to be very little oversight control of Thai Insurance. Foreign plans, regardless of if they have an office in Thailand, are normally subject to much higher standards. You may have to pay up front - but at least they pay. But this is about Medicare and as I do not need, can not answer. -
Massive Python devours chickens in Pattaya !
lopburi3 replied to Social Media's topic in Pattaya News
I still recall driving around end of runway swamps at Takhli Air Base in the late 60's in full size station wagon and stopping/waiting for the local python. Seriously feared he could wrap car if made the mistake of hitting him - they can indeed get huge. -
I would caution trying to import as my attempt (urostomy bags) resulted in "special customs requirements" which would have cost more than the item itself even if import was OK (which believe they may have made it medical and thus requiring import license). I just accepted loss. I buy from Lazada and for urostomy Coloplast has been far better for me than Convatec. All Convatec types leaked if turned to left side. Most drug stores can obtain whatever is available here but few will have anything in stock. We found very small shop more willing to order samples when testing various bags.

That was not what I posted - he needs to change status (visa exempt to visa entry) and that will be the TM87 form. -
Possible messed up visa
lopburi3 replied to TuanLindsay's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
1. He used 800k in bank or 65k per month income for financials. 2. He has funds in bank or proof of income? 3. He applies at local immigration office for change of status to non immigrant O visa entry at cost of 2,000 baht. Receives 3 month stay on that. 4. He the then applies for normal 1 year extension of stay at cost of 1,900 baht. -
Actual cost here in Bangkok for period ending 23 Nov was 5.58 per unit with usage of 1363 units (higher usage increases cost per unit).

She wants to give me 4,000,000 euros
lopburi3 replied to steven100's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Probably not as target is elderly with money they can take, retirement funds and such. As with the Ponzi brokers and Indian phone scammers the scum of the earth (my opinion only - but of the age targeted). -

Very much so but if using major email service believe most are removed automatically so only get one or two a month. India has become the new scam center and they use hacks to get people to call them - but they are just as big a danger. -

Unfortunately expect some actually would - so removal was a good idea. They will have to PM OP for a cut of the action.????
