  1. I use Revolut Ultra which gives unlimited currency swaps and free international transfers and 2K a month withdrawals free. I can first of all hold baht, secondly transfer almost realtime to Thai bank accounts (week days) without issues and thirdly can transfer directly to someone their visa or mastercard card number realtime every day 24/7. So yes can do. Earn also 1 point per 1 spent which can be converted to airmiles, the fees of the membership earned back by swapping currencies a few times a month, ATM withdrawals alone save me 4x 250 baht. Cherry on top better rates than wise, saves 200 baht per 1K euro/usd. As long this exists never using a Thai bank again. It's also insured up to 100K euro for funds unlike in TH.
  2. Stopped using thai bank and sim cards and just use ESIM for data package, cheaper and faster too. Can anyway call using whatsapp and line or still use the ESIM for emergency calls otherwise. Tired of these communist moves.
  3. Just paid my rent to a random krungthai of landlord for the first time using it, it arrived realtime. It also was 100 baht cheaper on 480 euro than wise.
  4. Nonsense, have had the account since 2018 while living here since 2013, all my friends switched using the same in the same position, many already did since 3+ years too as they never even had a Thai bank. People who had this issue simply not understand to do their KYC/address properly.
  5. I'm not a tax resident neither a Thai, and it works entirely fine for any foreigner. Stop talking crap.
  6. After all recent hassles and 2 bank freezes for 10+ days with 2 banks in TH, after 14 years no issue banking, decided to empty all and move to revolut instead. They ship cards to Thailand as well you can have all types of currencies + pay apple pay in 7/11 etc too. Also it offers to send realtime to Thai visa/mastercard cards or within a day to Thai bank accounts. Then Thailand has less to do with my finances too, can only be good. They even offer good esim cards for data on top too lol, missing out on zero benefits with the 18.99 a month plan.
  7. Same horse sht that some people keep repeating, far from reality is what the facts and truth are. This also is why it is all going backwards since years, and it only gets worse by this. To expect people to have 500,000 baht as a startup 18-20-25 year old in 2025 in order to get a digital nomad visa is just as delusional, if having that money it would be tied up logically as cashflow inside the actual business itself to begin with. 76% of westerners barely has a 1/5th of that, at that age, in cash savings. Meanwhile this same group spends the same or more as retirees.
  8. Doubt the 60 days change as they effectively changed it by doing the max 1x 30 days extension now instead. If they did that on top it would be the last nail in the coffin for real. Vietnam is already 20-30% cheaper by FX rates alone, people could double rent a house and be better off. Not sure what Thailand has against lower long-term staying spenders to begin with as they do want dozens of millions extra tourists, who over the past few years fit around the same spendings as a long-term lower budget spender spends. While the ratio is 1 long stayer for 5-10 of those to earn the same. Sure you casually see a few lost foreigners or homeless ones in BKK but nobody usually stays here if being absolute broke too.
  9. As far I have understood from both agents and IO's they simplified everything by simply looking at the calendar year from now on. So basically they flag anything above 150 days in the calendar year, as well just 1x 30 days extension if <150 days in the year and otherwise 7 days max. The safe entry already started to ask about people their specific history within the calendar year too. Just wonder how long it will last, I doubt long as tourism numbers keep going down too. Ping pong as usual is my best bet, I would try to use the safe entry if possible, as long it remains unclear. Or else a land border if entering in 2026 fresh (but no 30 day extension on that at all). They even enforce this new rules so far in places like Phangan so that means they are pretty serious about it if it comes to those extensions.
  10. I'm talking that I wish you the worst too.
  11. A room above soi 6 would do without documents lol.
  12. You are aware that costs more than a dorm right, hope you will find your future soon too.
  13. Learn to read; easy to break, in that case a lot hassle and delay with getting a replacement.
  14. Not at all, they are usually just 1-1.5K more in BigC etc. HomePro usually 2K with safe delivery VS lazada etc.
  15. This is a nice setup frame too for 5K ish https://www.lazada.co.th/products/power-rack-18-i5816796353-s24769484029.html?
  16. Not sure your budget but they have entire complete machines nowadays that are just 10-20K baht, with all weights. Would be way easier, you would get like 5in1.
  17. You don't wanna order those online, they break easily even it has warranty, not worth the 1-2K savings compared to getting it from a real shop.
  18. Impressed you even leave that much in the Thai banks knowing their illegal freezing of funds while not explaining a thing / giving any apologies after, repeatedly. You would be better off having it in actual cash and gold or even just rent some deposit box in BKK, barely costs money compared to what bank fees are today.
  19. Meanwhile the EUR got like 30% more vietnam dong and USA 20% since a few years alone, while prices there are in general 30-40% cheaper on top... Sometimes it all really makes little sense knowing that most costs in TH or VN are virtually the same for business owners. Have to say I was pretty shocked to see that I get like 30,000 VND compared to 20,000 VND per 1 euro today while I actually stopped going every 2-3 months since it went up that much, and it was super cheap at the 20K rate already lol. That's like negative inflation X5. Almost worth it to even double rent and live there 6 months a year, specially if they did still make that tax move here. Rent/flights would be free. Surprises me in a way there is even still that much tourism left here, people must be unaware it comes down to paying up to 50% less.
  20. There is no specific proven strains that work for every person or for every medical usage item to begin with. So again complete nonsense, in that case it should have been for sale as extracts or oils etc and sold at pharmacy's to begin with while such oils are actually the most illegal now on top of that. I guess we should not sell aspirines etc without prescriptions anymore then too. Meanwhile you can get the most dodgy things from any pharmacy in Thailand.
  21. It's like saying every bar now needs a professional before serving you a drink lol
  22. And magically they could worked without that 'permit' for years before it was a news item? As well the next day they are free and out N about again down south. Lawyers change some company structure, some tea money is paid and done.
  23. Well yeah, there is always obviously Thais involved in it too, else it would not be happening. So certain ones agreed and allowed it to make things like the land sales on the island go on and on too. From that perspective it's quite hypocritical how they talk bad about foreigners being the cause. You can also proof this easily just by seeing how in e.g. Chiang Mai they are very strict on most things VS the south. That's locals deciding XYZ.
