  1. Nah it is what people do that got them and now need to defend their wrong choice.
  2. Ha you don't do that without a lot of experience.
  3. I guess it's all about forex exchange rates but yeah Australia is not that expensive if I look at random places like Cairns. It's like what i spend and pay in Bangkok, a decent room there also costs me 1500-2000 baht. Same for mid range restaurants, you also spend easily 1000 baht. The people that move here for money reasons are usually fked regardless though. They would still have a bit more here i guess, like you can eat unhealthy greezy street food on markets cheaper while not in Australia, those kind of benefits. Not to forget that in Australia they then have real companies, paying tax, people with good wages working there, good service, quality etc etc. Happy to go there again soon as I got a multi entry biz visa approved (a visa I still never got in Thailand after a decade). Meanwhile Thailand wonders how to attract 'real talent'. Anyway it's very obvious inside TH that many people are just stuck and live on a meager pension or wage, and comparing that to living back home makes Thailand than a lot better. They want that bubble to stay alive essentially, that does not make it reality.
  4. I used to drink only 1 beer a year and mainly smoke weed, I then became a hard drinker in Thailand after living here a few years and getting heart broken + finding out the red lights. Never stopped, resulted in a few accidents as well over the course of years to come. Weed got legal and I changed back, never looked back. Just some wines 1-2 times a week with dinners. Or some good craft beers. I guess it had more to do with covid too, to change entirely. Willing to pay more for quality nowadays too. Staying away from the money vampires. Best part of all is that you actually save money, meet better people and have less drama.
  5. I guess I fail to understand what is easier or cheaper with an agent, while I always get the best prices on flights, paid as little as 30-40K baht for business to EU.
  6. Imagine debating the use of agents for a flight in 2025 ><
  7. Sounds you just whine and blame while you are not even around daily?
  8. These are facts, is also why the younger generation who does the same speaks much more English. It is certainly not from school changes. Problem is that the majority is not exactly using it in a productive way at all. Same it should be limited in hours.
  9. That's because you both are super ignorant, not really involved with people their lives as well as not understanding how finance here works. The fact you even start with motorbikes cars or phones, while all of those are the reason most people have huge financial problems, as they are financed with 10+ % interests, is a very funny lol. Maybe you should start about learning what face value in Thailand is, as that's their motivation. Same for alcohol, any of the lowest social classes would have a lot of alcohol and drugs around their lives and houses, anywhere in the world. Last but not least being heavily indebted and classed poor does not mean you have 0 money to live a very basic survival life, not that different with quite some expats here. It actually highlights how bad it really is; their entire life is revolving only around solving their mobility issue (car/bike) and a phone (entertainment). Why you think you barely see diversion in shops to begin with, it's like every city is a copy of another here.
  10. Just watch and learn, you will see what happens next. All my FX and Asset predictions i ever made here came out.
  11. You are speaking like this trader who just started 6 months ago, that is basic logic with profit taking. You clearly do not see what really is going on, same that you seem to forget that gold dumped 30% during the 2008 crisis. IT was only 2 years later, in 2011, that it actually reached a real ATH. The reason for this is that the big players have leverage on leverage on leverage. They are always the first to need and close positions, that requires them to have cash, that forces them to sell (gold). This is when everything goes down in the same time, even dollars, you lose with anything. This is the real way how they keep extracting money from all the normal people. The silent tax killer.
  12. There is nothing in the market that upticks or banksters can short with that news, neither did any relieve come from that. So even if the 90 days hold up is delayed or not, has again zero to do with where the markets were going regardless. It is about the debts in countries, it needs to be reduced either way. The fact gold is being sold off that hard, by large players, indicates the first big margin calls of the card house already started too. No wonder, what did you expect, that stocks were staying where they are, the economy just magically went on for 5-10 years more, if Biden would won?
  13. I doubt with today's tech my plan will stand by the time I reach that ago though but we live in strange times. But as for now I purposely do things in IT as well in Finance, because there would be little to stop be doing this until i basically die. Same as buffet does. People need things to do, they need a routine etc. If that all fades, it's like putting old people in elderly homes, you can be sure they die soon (exceptions for those with families visiting twice a week etc but still like being send off to prison death camp).
  14. Exactly he is loud mouthing the opposite way, and then blaming what he and 'they in general' always do at a 3X worse level. Same with burning down tesla's or company buildings, while they are stating they want a peaceful life with free money. Well sounds like a good job to then start destroying things and start with violence. Clearly they lack the intellectual capital and actual facts to do it another way.
  15. A freelance trader that might get faster Internet connectivity with the latest model; this easily can save or make him hundreds per month in difference. A freelance photographer or videographer that uses the latest camera's. Do i have to continue? Stupidity is people who can't even imagine the possibilities in today's world. How many people use the entire Adobe suite while it costs a fortune too. Few. It is always so obvious what type of people you talk to; those who have no clue about finance or real issues in economy, the consequences otherwise; wars etc etc, they always are usually teaching or government working people, or in jobs, thinking money magically arrives. As soon anything damages then their little bubble and ideals, it is straight lunacy. Just the fact people not understand that we would have had the same financial crashes regardless of tarrifs, just a few months later perhaps, is too funny to begin with.
  16. That is old news since yesterday with the exception for tarrifs on China. Watch real finance news instead of mainstream news, a whole world opens up lol.
  17. It is entirely, typical left wing overreacting behavior same as to blame all on tarrifs while this crash would happen either way. The money issue is from decades. Also perfect timing as central banks introduce the CBDC this summer in '25, announced since '19. What a wonder the tarrifs are now delayed 90 days to exactly that timeframe too... People who think politics are real, lol, wake up. We are playing the last few rounds of a chair dance, at best they can buy up to 2030.
  18. Never gonna happen, not even close to it. Besides this the days of Apple being special or expensive are over since many years by now. You buy even a M4 Mac Mini, super powerful home PC, for just 20K baht new, nowadays, that's the latest model. Can run 4 monitors on it. It's just the typical frugal people who still walk around with their half broken androids thinking that Iphones that just work, cost so much. I mean even an Iphone 11 functions better than virtually any Android today. I sold consumer and business grade dell, lenovo for over a decade, same for android. Now it's soon 8 years in apple, my son is still using my first devices, I would in reality not even have to renew if it wasn't work and professional use. The exchange rates will have more impact on the local iphone prices than the tarrifs will. They always controlled this, a Dell Latitude Docking station would for example back in the day always cost over 300 in australia while it was just 150 in europe. Those times are long gone. I f those times would suddenly come back, well, we got ourselves a nice side hustle to travel for free then.
  19. Is why retirement is usually the killer in people their life, they are so used to be a modern slave they never realized they didn't have any real life other than that. To then add on top meager pensions they live on.
  20. Suprise suprise these buildings are as old as decades in CM that are mentioned. As well it happened to even a condo build by Supalai, a respected developer. With other words; you talk virtually most buildings that are not compliant or safe for any next big quake. It is just the new big skyscrapers that all meet those standards. Or that is what we are told as clearly that didn't apply to the Supalai one either.
  21. Paying a few thousand for private clearly is worth it...
  22. The fact posts like this are needed actually proves it all. It happens seldom and it clearly was a big highlight. Nuff said.
  23. LMAO what a garbage comment and opinion. Many western countries are simply hell and super expensive, the fact that Thailand on these ends is a lot better, and for that reason is very livable is ZERO excuses for all the things that happen here that are really bad and really not good. Neither does that make them acceptable. To be some wannabe idiot who sticks his head in the sand, to then pretend it is all daisies, and that such negativity can't possible exist, well that is absolute stupidity at it's core. At the same time you entirely forget that we are not in the same times anymore as we were decades ago, there is zero guarantees for Thailand keeping the position it once had, in fact there has only been a decrease of expats + retirees here. With other words: the point has already been proven on every end, the only thing that keeps your illusion alive it the mass group tourism that props things up to keep it alive, and avoids a collapse. Also even one hates all this, that is no different than many people still in their home countries, coping with that to then still decide and live there as XYZ is good enough in XYZ country for them. This applies as much to Thailand. At least that is honesty, not ass licker work with a snotty nose.
  24. Another loser replying, who wished he had just the ant intelligence to make money in the same way (at that age in life). Meanwhile people do this already since years and it is not a issue with 'full of foreigners'. You know why? Because most people are lazy, they are not smart and they are losers. They never achieve this.
  25. What are you suggesting, that you are superior if having a yearly visa? Idiot. You can just smell the loser factor in your reply.
