The real reason this country is doomed to perpetual third world status where the vast majority are serfs for the sinothai elite is creatures like the 2 main headliners, don't expect anything to change until these corrupt hypocrites are purged....

This story has some substance, possible if the soldier was struck in the throat or back of the neck by a very fast heavy fish.
Barracuda and bone fish swim in large shoals and it would be easy for one fish to strike this man.
RIP to an elite soldier in training and condolences to the family, friends and his military companions.
Elite soldier in training......<deleted> this is Thailand the only thing LoS excels in is stupidity and corruption!
Sad for the lad and his family but bloody hell get a grip....

The hypocrisy and flagrant disregard of any and all morals is truly breathtaking, you think you've heard it all then these cretins manage to surpass themselves yet again, would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.....

When they come out with a DCT model (Dual Clutch Tranny) I would consider, I don't much like shifting anymore.........and an HD does not need to be super loud, people modify them to be that way.
An automatic Hardly Ableson I can imagine it and tbh I reckon they would sell a load to the same lot that buy the rest of their merchandise, personally I would rather shove live wasps up my arse......!

Nah surely not, cannot be as they would never ever stoop to any form of wrongdoing......
Just in case I dare say we will have Roblok or beerboxer along to educate us that it's no different to what the Shins did all those years ago before they where deposed by this lot in their war against corruption that has gone so very well and improved LoS no end

It is an absolute given that the husband is a complete an utter maggot goes without saying and hopefully justice will be served, though personally I wont hold my breath...
The other absolute given is that many Thai hospitals and their staff care not a jot about the welfare of their patients if they are not able to pay, they put profits above their moral and ethical rights as medics
Their triage processes are poor and that is probably the main reason this lady died. Nothing to be done about the scrote who threw the acid but a half decent triage system and a medical system that puts patients above profits may have meant the 12 year old daughter still has a mum
RIP

Is there anybody surprised that the little men in green are getting scared again?
Looks like democracy thai style is on the agenda and anybody who doesn't agree is due a bit of attitude adjustment....

But if you read the article it says" A military-outfitted AW139 helicopter, the same model bought by the Thai army, reportedly sold for about 348 million baht apiece in 2013, according to Aviation International News.
So, the question remains, why did they pay 675 million to 737 million baht for each one?
Shhh!!!
Clearly never paid for a parts package either seeing as over 50% are unservicable and are knackered already...
My moneys on the regular Thai procurement pattern that involves a teeny weeny bit of smoke and mirrors and the odd brown envelope, easy peasy when you are completely unaccountable.......

Do as I say not as I do....
Above statement would make a superb motto for just about any Thai in a position of responsibility as they show this attitude on a daily basis and clearly have no shame, sad state of affairs really but unfortunately not at all surprising and par for the course really....

Of course they were, stands to reason, now if for instance they were penniless serfs stealing mushrooms in the forest that would be an altogether different issue cannot have the peasants getting uppity.......

This really is a most revealing thread isn't it?
Not because it tells us anything new about either Immigration or its requirements for a marriage or retirement extension, or anything we didn't already know about our esteemed Embassy.
Rather because it reveals, sadly, the lack of security felt by many who live here, and equally sadly, disturbingly even, quite how unpleasant, totally self centered and lacking in empathy so many who regard themselves as in a stronger financial situation are!
Referring to people who don't, for whatever reason, have access to the funds which you do, as "scum" says a lot about you, all of it rather unpleasant.
I am very, very glad my family and I are out of Thailand and do not have to dance to their frequently changing tunes but I truly feel sorry for those whose lives and futures are being jeopardised by these rules
TBH I do not blame the Brit embassy as they are reacting to new stuff the Thai's have suddenly decided is now vital, knowing what most of us know about Thai bureaucracy who would be naive enough to believe any of this has been fully thought out?
For all the 'don't affect me' chaps out there having a good gloat all I would say is to be prepared for the next excellent plan as there is sure to be one along soon as it is clearer day by day that they just don't want you there....
ps. cannot get my head around the amount of people who have not even bothered to listen to the radio report Tommy linked, true might not be completely correct but surely the closest to the truth as it stands at the moment, says a lot about the head in the sand group mentality

These people are supposedly from the higher and better educated strata of Thai society so I always struggle with their answers when they are caught red handed
I wonder are they genuinely thick as mince or are they so arrogant they think everyone listens to their blatant lies and accepts it without question?
I am leaning toward the former as I struggle to think that anybody with even half a brain cell could accept the drivel they spew as even remotely truthful so a lack of intelligence has gotta be more likely ...

There's that selective memory you mentioned previously at work again...
Baboon I am sure you are aware there are some posters on here there is absolutely zero point conversing with, they are either too thick or too blinkered to understand and I have not quite worked out which one of the two he is though I am airing towards the former....

We all dont know how many times this Thai business has done this do we?
Could of been everynight, its obvious its not the first visit these 2 or even other neighbours have made.
The thai owner seems to know them and they even know his licence hours ??
So....begs me the question...is this a long running dispute...im not naive like many of you just to take the thais side becsuse....well u have to because....ummm..their thai?
I remember a few years ago on here watching a videi of a young thai guy bash a elderly farang....before even what we knew about it, there were posters on here saying the old farang probaly deserved it, it was finally brought out the young thai on yaba attacked the old guy for no reason just as the latest attack in Bangkok has happened so dont be stuoid enough to take anothers side without knowing the full story.
I do get it ...i know a lot of you hate your fellow farangs but please try to get the full story before you kick them in the gutter whilst kissing the thai butt.
Nail on the head!
It is amazing to hear all the whining about thais hating all foreigners and visa's getting harder, newsflash your average Thai cares not a jot about you and the muppets in charge even less!!!
The xenophobia you see with the visa's etc aint personal it's just a character flaw, all the thaier than thai on here crack me up they obviously live in a parallel universe where the populace are never noisy, selfish or liars
True badly handled by the Jock but I would be willing to bet there is way, way more to this than the highly professional Thai press and their fellow countrymen have stated but just proves there are lots of weak people who just take things as read, naive maybe....?

'however even assuming noise was way past midnight , there are appropriate ways to address it , one being a polite approach, at least dressed and communicating in a language other party understands , another is to call Pattaya city hall , 24 hours help line and if that failed 1111 government help line.'
Yep that would do it as they are awesome neighbours who are never ever noisy or selfish, yep that could never happen in LoS as the locals are well known for their unselfish attributes plus the authorities are just like coiled springs waiting to sort out problems such as this......<deleted>!

Blimey an awful lot of very naive people who automatically believe the Thai's side of the story, obviously they would never ever tell a lie and that they are always good and quiet neighbours <deleted> half a bloody story as usual
Am I the only one who finds it a little suspect about last minute jobs at 20:00 hours requiring loads of staff when supposedly they shut at 18:00, who would like to bet every night there will be a 'last minute' job happening
I reckon most blokes (other than the obviously soft <deleted> ones who wont say boo to a goose even if it was shatting on them!) have felt the rage every now and then when the locals have decided nothing other than their own gratification matters, I know I have.....

'All university students from the Muslim-majority south, they were given jail terms ranging from four to six years. Five suspects were acquitted. Their lawyer disputed the ruling, saying his clients were tortured into making false statements during military detention'
That is the knock on effect when you have a bumbling incompetent and seemingly corrupt military, judiciary and police force, turns out no matter whether they are right or wrong only a complete halfwit would blindly trust their word so no matter what they say or do you cannot believe anything they say, quite a conundrum really.....
