The used car market in Thailand is a dogs' breakfast! In my experience - dealers at 'car tents' - (used car lots) , charge crazy high prices, and generally are not open to much haggling or discounting. This may vary obviously, In Kanchanaburi, where I am, there are dealers who have had the same cars on the lot for the last 3 years. I don't know how they survive! I have sold cars here on One2Car , and Facebook Marketplace. The right car at a reasonable price will normally sell ok. However, as an example, I have been trying to sell a 3 year old Ranger ute with only 7000 ks on the clock for 300k less than I paid for it. In 4 months I have had 3 enquiries, and only been offered 35% of what I bought it for. (Hmm, might be time for a fire....!) If you cannot speak Thai, the sale difficulty increases!

One dog - out of the tens of thousands roaming free in Thailand - gets rehomed , and we are supposed to get warm fuzzies like ‘Lassie come home’ or ‘Old Yeller’ ? Give me a break!

AS others have said - you need to treat the house and garden area to kill the tick nymphs. Any insecticidal/pyrethrin spray will do the job. I bought a product from Big C last month - sorry, don't remember name - but it smelled like vinegar. My FIL used it to spray around their house to get rid of the ticks - and it worked well. The Bravecto you gave last year will not have 'worked' for 12 months. Ticks are seasonal in Thailand - so are not a problem all of the year. Now is T time!! Bravecto or Nexgard will kill ticks when they bite your dog - and help protect them from tick borne diseases like Canine Ehrlichiosis (tick Fever) - this can be fatal - so when you see the ticks - treat your dog. Insecticidal washes, containing pyrethrins, will stop most ticks from attaching to your dog.

Cats in Thailand are routinely vaccinated for Feline Enteritis (Panleucopenia) and Cat Flu , (Rhinotracheitis , Calici virus etc). Feline Enteritis is the main disease to be concerned about. We also vaccinate our cat for Rabies - but this is for his & our protection. I am not suggesting that your cats are turning up their toes from rabies!

It looks like she was making silicon nose and chin implants. These are more rigid - and will not burst or leak. If sterilised properly before insertion it really shouldn’t be that much of a problem.

I enjoy watching some of Paddy Doyle’s travel videos around Thailand. He has also ‘done’ Vietnam, & is currently ‘doing’ Laos. He is a little annoying, & the videos are often a little light on content, but the cinematography is excellent. It gives me ideas on places I want to see, & others I will be happy to miss in LOS.

A true Staffordshire Bull terrier will not attack a person, although many are not good with other dogs. A Pitbull or Amstaff type dog is completely different. These dogs are unpredictable, and a previously docile dog can 'turn' and exhibit excessive aggression - as in this case. Over 35 years working as a veterinarian I have seen or heard of countless acts of (generally) unprovoked aggression by 'Pitties' , or Pitbull Crosses. They do not have to be purebred to be bad. It only seems to take a touch of their genetics to create the time bomb that these dogs are. They are restricted or banned in many countries for very good reason.

As marty147 has said - Nexgard would be the easiest way to treat these dogs as it is palatable & readily taken by dogs. It is not cheap. Ivermectin administered at 200micrograms/kg is effective - but needs to be injected. - so probably not practical. Vinegar, engine oil (!?) etc as topical washes are not likely to be effective - although if the dogs have demodectic mange rather than sarcoptic mange it may help. Are the dogs itchy? If so it will be Sarcoptes. Demodectic mange looks bad, but the dog is generally not itchy. This is easier to treat, and sometimes just improving the dogs general health, and hence immune status , can help it recover.

The Daphnis genus are found throughout Europe, Asia, Northern Australia & Northern Africa. Daphnis nerii, the Oleander Hawkmoth is a regularly found in the UK. Daphnis nerii & D. hypothous can be found in Thailand. Sorry! This is a passion of mine. I travelled, collected and studied moths for more than 40 years.

The other common food plant for this species is oleander. If larvae are taken from this plant - the cardiac glycosides ingested by the caterpillar could kill your chooks! Caterpillar Revenge!

Hi. This is the caterpillar of Daphnis hypothous - a beautiful Hawkmoth species - related to the Oleander Hawkmoth. I have these on my desert roses too - but the plants recover quickly - and seeing the beauty of the larvae and the moths outweighs the temporary carnage! (IMO). Edit: any topical pyrethrum insecticidal spray will get rid of them ????

The likelihood of the prospective purchaser introducing an infection - viral or bacterial - is extremely low. IMO opinion this is just bs to create the aura that their bloodlines & breeding are so wonderful. It depends what the OP wants - a genetically wonderful canine - or a good socialized pet.

Off topic - sorry! We recently bred a litter of French Bulldogs. We have both parents , now desexed. Our quiet house is now mayhem with 6 frenchies running around ! We had no interest from anyone to buy them! Advertised on Bahtsold (waste of time) & put numerous posts on wifes' FB page. French bulldogs sell for more than $7K in Australia - here, we couldn't give them away!! (actually we did give 2 away!). 65K Baht for a Dobermann pup with no information about parents & sight unseen is complete bs.
