VP Kamala Harris Had 92-Percent Staff Turnover
Kwaibill replied to KhunLA's topic in Political Soapbox
Only about every word he speaks. -
Don’t know as I only have the one. Mostly pretty happy with Mrs. Kwai.😶

Not sure what the difference really is, but pretty sure classification as a narcotic is not scientifically sound. Having just started again with some neuropathic pain bad enough to cause insomnia I will defo look into the ganja solution. I remember it worked well with a torn rotator cuff which seemed more painful than my open heart surgery, although that involved some morphine I think.

A bit shy of the 75 mark yet, but been here a few years. I hope to be harassing my wife into my eighties.😉 If I make it that far my Thai vocabulary may extend to two hundred words. -

99-Year Land Lease To Foreigners Will Harm Thailand: Jatuporn
Kwaibill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have so far seen little real justification for this notion but rather the traditional insularity and xenophobia of the Thai ruling class. Which to be fair is historically an Asean traditilon not at all limited to Thailand. Signed, One gaijin.☺️ -

Finance Ministry Pushes 99-Year Leases for Foreigners
Kwaibill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What use is a 99 year lease for foreigners unless willing it to another farang? I can see it being of use to some commercial owners, but enough to clear a meaningful percentage of the estimated overstock? The keyword is “overstock”. I was briefly tempted by an offer to purchase a unit I had been renting for 600,000, but the complex was already showing its age. Is it just me, or are Thai people averse to most types of maintenance? This from the perspective of one who has lived in 200+ year old buildings in the US. -
Hmm. Went to ” settings” and cleared cache and history but still no joy. Will see if restart of device makes a difference. Had to do a ”hard” re-start yesterdat cuz the darned thing did a hard freeze... could not sign in nor power off. Apple products relatively new to me.🤪

Thai MP aims to ‘stimulate’ economy with sex industry legalisation
Kwaibill replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Prostitution is fully legal in twenty nations and partially legal in many of the rest. It is completely illegal in a vanishingly smaller number of nations. The stats are easily Googled. Rather hypocritical of Thai officialdom to pretend it is illegal, IMO, with many a nod and a wink going on behind brown envelopes, etc. I also find its status peculiar in light of ganja flip flopping. Just my two baht’s worth as I participate in neither. -
Not all, but better than half of the posts I am interested in say” Sorry, there was a problem reacting…” . Kind of antithetical to the notion of a forum. Is this an algorithm that summarily shuts off commentary when a certain number of responses is reached? There are a number of subjects that have many pages of comments, then some that seem to be limited to only a few in less than a couple of days.

Anutin Furious Over Move to Reclassify Cannabis as a Narcotic
Kwaibill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
L largely agree with M r Anutin’s reasoning on this one. Constant flip flopping undermines everyone’s confidence. Seems like “The rest of the world is moving towards decriminalizing ganja, so we must do the opposite.”🤪 -
Thailand’s Cannabis Debate Ignites After Doctor’s Insightful Article
Kwaibill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
“Association” is merely that, not definitive of “causation”. I suggest that a predisposition towards violent behavior amongst the target demographic may exist independent of marijuana usage. The concomitant use of ganja may well be a further expression of the “bad boy” imagery. -
I have asked my wife to write me a check and put it in my coffin. Before the monks crank up the crematorium.

My wife frequently orders out from local suppliers at 40 to 70 baht, no delivery fee. I sometimes sneak a small tip in if I answer the door.

For whatever it’s worth we as a family of two have north of 140,000/ month. I generally reserve 10,000 for myself and turn the rest over to Mrs. Kwai. She dutifully handles all bills and puts some aside for whatever purpose. She does sometimes help a relative in a small way. I am pretty satisfied with her management skills which I suspect exceed my own.

Thailand’s Cannabis Debate Ignites After Doctor’s Insightful Article

My previous experience involved a rotator cuff injury, which can be weepingly painful, during a time of no insurance. A friend made me some Alice B cookies from her crop trimmings. The relief was amazing. -
Thailand’s Cannabis Debate Ignites After Doctor’s Insightful Article
Kwaibill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
LOS has officially been weed free for forty years vs centuries of traditional usage prior to Western notions of prohibition. As shameful as the notion that women must not allow a glimpse of their mammalian heritage, particularly in an atmosphere of steadily increasing ambient temps. Climate change deniers in three, two,… -
Thailand’s Cannabis Debate Ignites After Doctor’s Insightful Article
Kwaibill replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There is a definite presence of “Reefer Madness” respondents both on this forum and in the Thai reportage. I don’t have much of an input on the matter personally. Smoking anything for any purpose is right out for a multiple stroke/heart attack survivor. If I could buy it with the same ease with which I buy Tramadol OTC at my local pharmacy I would for sure try an ingestable form for neuropathic issues, but so far it is just more complicated than my needs allow. -
I suggest you re-read the OP. The studies in Israel were exactly what you suggest. “Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pattapong argued that some groups are negatively portraying cannabis solely as a recreational drug while ignoring its medical benefits. He highlighted that smoking cannabis can effectively relieve various medical conditions, supported by case studies and research. For instance, a patient with bipolar disorder experienced significant improvement after switching from conventional medication to cannabis. Another case involved an American veteran who found relief from severe PTSD symptoms through cannabis, ultimately preventing suicidal thoughts. Israel, a global leader in cannabis research, has legalized medical cannabis for over 20 years, showing a high success rate with 87% of patients preferring cannabis products with 18% THC for smoking.” Selective reading?
