i have lived in se asia, mostly Thailand with some time in Cambodia, over 35 years I use US$ when i travel around countries cause its the most convenient to convert in my head to what ever country i am in> While in Burma, laos, Malaysia etc, i dont convert the local currency to Baht in my head, but to $$, to know the cost funny how the OP has NOT come back to say where he was travelling from in Thailand ???? guess he really doesn't give a S#@T To each their own.

when u include the cost to travel by car to the border /back and 2,000 baht why not just fly to Penang??

all you need show is the money came from outside Thailand and as long as your over 50.... seriously doubt any questions will be asked

you can get a single non O in Phnom Pehn but need show 800,000 in any currency in any bank left PP last Thursday and for air asia had to show onward flight which i had via the link above entered on visa exempt and will convert too O

As above, i have a car thai license but need a motorcyle one> dont have a check for operating on my on my US drviers license Been told that for PHUKET that i can apply for a qr code Its on google play @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.dlt.qrlicence&gl=US and than read thru the road safety info, check it as i read and that than allows me to drive UNTILL the date to take my driving test anything and or can assist ?? if u enter/leave Thailand to go to Laos ur not converting anything: your getting a new Non O visa so just enter with visa exempt, You MIGHT be asked for forward or return ticket Onward charges only $14 NO::: has to be in ur name so deal with that before u leave thailand and arrive in Laos, only need show its been there 1 day note afaik, it can be 400,000 or equivalent in any currency

yea, u didn't say where you were< ???? fyi i often drive ( pre covid) Phuket -Cambodia entering at Koh Kong, 1st night stop in Cha Am 2nd night ( after 8 hour drive) Trat, next day only about 1 hour to border Penang is going to be cheapest flying as no visa

Phuket : apply for ur non O extension if ur over 50< pick it up the next day NON O, if ur married it takes anywhere from 30 to 60 days under consideration
