  1. Death penalty? yeah, sure.
  2. Spin it anyway you want. Bangkok Air is/was the sole lease holder and major shareholder in the Samui Airport Property Fund. This is made clear in Bangkok Air financial reports and in the following document. It has essentially leased the airport to itself. https://ba.listedcompany.com/misc/ar/20200323-ba-ar2019-en.pdf (most recent i could find) https://media.kkpfg.com/document/2021/Apr/56-REIT2 (Annual)_SPF_Eng.pdf Then there is this which suggests that Bangkok Air leased the property to the SPF in the first place. The SPF has been delisted and this suggest the lease had been terminated. https://www.dbs.com.sg/treasures/aics/templatedata/article/recentdevelopment/data/en/DBSV/052021/SPF_TB_05312021.xml https://www.marketscreener.com/quote/stock/BANGKOK-AIRWAYS-20707453/news/Bangkok-Airways-Public-Company-Limited-Announces-Regarding-the-Termination-of-the-Lease-Agreement-wi-35471621/
  3. Quit while you are ahead. Bangkok Airways built, owns and maintains USM. Or rather the Samui Property Fund, of which Bangkok Air is a major shareholder does.
  4. As someone who has been visiting Koh phangan in early mid-december for over 20 years, is not the worst time of year to visit the gulf islands, it is when the monsoon begins to abate. November is far worse All airlines may well be "welcome" at USM but at what cost? bangkok Air has a monoploy and as such can charge any fee they desire. This makes flying into Samui at competitive rates nearly impossible.
  5. You never could actually trust anyone. As for it becoming more like "the west", i suspect the only thing that has really changed is more people are now reporting transgressions.
  6. alleging? I guess a fanboys gonna fan.
  7. sure, thats what we are talking about here. Not the mass lay offs, the refusal to honour severance agreements, the attempts to quash future testimony and lawsuits via what amounts to severance payment extortion or the failure to pay rent for spaces across the globe.
  8. They didn't walk out they were kicked out. It is a significant distinction.
  9. isn't that also known as pedophilia?
  10. Damn, that one hit home.
  11. ill vouch for this, my mild omnicron infection very gradually became pneumonia which was diagnosed by a lazy doctor as COPD sending me on a terrifying health scare journey until a competent doctor diagnosed pneumonia and cleared it up with a single course of antibiotics. I did, as a result quit smoking and feel better than I have in years, but COVID is no laughing matter.
  12. Note: Daily Mail works fine from AIS in Bangkok, no VPN.
  13. I live on 11. My experience differs, so Ill take my year round experience over your three times a year. I never have problems with the meter, but sometimes taxis refuse service to certain areas, especially during shift changes.
  14. Anutin gave me weed. as a non-voter, I am willing to overlook much
  15. The headline is purposely asinine and misleading. The viriolgist simply said that some newer COVID strains are more dangerous.
  16. i recommend you don't pursue a career in languages
  17. utter nonsense. i take at least 2 taxis daily. maybe one in ten tries me on.
  18. Oh really. Then you wouldn't mind linking to only one of them?
  19. Somebody probably let an SSL cert lapse.
  20. using an agent in Bangkok I had my passport back in 2 weeks. I wouldn't hand over my passport to anyone for 2 months.
  21. it is all just a round about way of saying his woman did it. As for the 20k, im pretty sure we all know where he pulled that from.
  22. the moral of the story to any immigration visit is don't go in the afternoon.
