  1. I have qualifications in IT. Epic. My dad is a tv repairman. He has an awesome set of tools.
  2. Pretty much indicates a complete lack of understanding of what a vpn actually does. Vpns are certainly surrounded by myth and hype, but they do add an extra layer of security if you are uncertain of the network you are on. If you are going to bother worrying about security, it is a reasonable step to take.
  3. If only the smart car could detect and deport the self righteous with bad taste in scotch.
  4. I am not one to judge, I have played thai immigration fast and loose with continuous residence in the country for over 20 years with the exception of a 5 year stint when I worked in the phils and split my time. I have had tourist visas, non Os, non Bs, and VOAs. I once even racked up about 3 months worth of overstay just because I could. This fellow, with covid extension being bog simple to obtain for the last 1.5 years is just foolish.
  5. Proving once again that unless it is published innthe gazette, its all just empty words.

    Thai Food - ?

And if you remove heat from the equation it's raw. You understand the concept of cooking right?

    Thai Food - ?

And that's why the Philippines was a protracted. Business trip and Bangkok remained "home"
  8. All this speculation tells me is that there is an abundance of old men on here that find this whole thing hits a little too close to home. Yeah right James bond, yeah right.
  9. If I knocked out someone who came to my house with a gun you can be damn certain I will restrain them before I call the police. As for your unanswered questions, that's why police investigate.
  10. What you seem to misunderstand is that with DHL and FedEx you are guaranteed to pay duty. With other options you seem blissfully unaware of, you rarely pay duty. And they do not necessarily charge accurately as they often misunderstand the actual value of an item.
  11. Really? EMS is international, doncha know. https://www.ems.post/en/global-network/ems-operators Where have you been?
  12. Your company need to learn from it's mistakes and send the laptop via post EMS or this will keep happening. I had a friend whose mother used to send her chocolates, cat treats and stupid gifts that cost her thousands in duty every time and arrived melted or broken. The old woman just wouldn't stop until she started refusing any package that wasn't sent by EMS. Once she got the hint, everything arrived without issue.
  13. And , usual, these announcements amount to not until they are published in the gazette or through official channels. Until then it is all little more than optimism.
  14. It's not limited to the LoS. Boiler rooms have and continue to rape the ignorant in Europe and Australia for far more than a thousand dollars a hit. People are stupid everywhere.
  15. Funny how the unhappy third are all I ever meet. From the noodle seller outside my front gate in Bangkok, to every taxi driver that is inclined to chat and most of the Thai professionals I count amongst my friends, I have only heard sentiments to the contrary. And they certainly aren't shy about bringing it up.
  16. And then there is me who has had a Bangkok bank account without a problem for almost 25 years.
  17. Accepted everywhere, just look for the bar with balloons out front.
  18. Perhaps when it actually works outside of 2 the two countries in the video.
