  1. Terror. Nothing more and nothing less. There is no underlying political motive, a music concert with a large audience, predominantly teenage girls, is a soft easy target for these evil demonic savages to spread terror. We need to stop looking for political or socialogical reasons, from whatever wing of contemporary conventional politics. These people are merciless savages, driven by an evil perverted creed. Understand them for what they are, an existential merciless unwavering threat to our society; so stop trying to tie them, or paint them as the reaction to, any policy or government, whether we are left or right wing, conservatives, social democrats, liberals, pluralist or authoritarian religious or secular, Zionist or Islamic, or enthusiasts for the Monster Raving Loony Party. They mean to kill, destroy, terrorise. We (the civilised world) must destroy them.
  2. No. The West has plenty of organisations which could deal with them. International co-operation, hunt them down and destroy them. Don't try and occupy and change governments in the places they come from, that is just a waste of blood and treasure just isolate those places. NB, bombing sandpits doesn't work.
  3. Why post a picture of a self proclaimed terrorist, posing armed with knives, and presumably wanted all over the place, and then blur out his face! For crying out loud, no wonder we are losing to them!
  4. Pedantic and not what you meant @spidermike007, but you know I suspect that what troubles Trump the most is that he is actually not very rich any more. The signs are rather that he is broke! He owes eye watering amounts in legal penalties, his prime recent venture, his social media operation is losing money at an extraordinary rate; yes he has assets, golf clubs and properties, but seems totally unable to raise cash on them, probably because they are already in hock. The really big donors, American and foreign are reluctant. His campaign owes money for rally locations all over the country. His "bigliest" lifestyle, so central to his image, is expensive (Boeing 757s cost a lot to run!) and it seems probable that, despite flogging golden gym shoes, bibles and playing cards, the cash is not rolling in. So not very rich indeed!
  5. Well, she was elected as a District Attorney of a very large city (San Francisco) and then as then as the Attorney General of a major State, which is pretty high up the juristic tree!
  6. The British military and NATO were surprised by the speed with which the withdrawal happened. That was Biden's call. We were also surprised by the total "bag of b*ll*cks" they made of it - after all it is not the first allied country they have left in a hurry. That is not attributable to Biden.
  7. Coming from someone who very obviously reinvents their identity every few months! Oh the irony!
  8. Convoys in the Red Sea, that is the best answer.
  9. The islands will be handed over. The base will be closed. Within 6 months the Chinese will be operating from it.
  10. That offshoot will disintegrate. Trump will be old, likely facing prison time, and will be morally, politically and financially bankrupt. One of the interesting takeaways of the present campaign is that it seems Trump is, effectively, out of money. He owes locations for the costs of the rallies he stages, his social media operation which he increasingly relies upon to communicate is hemorrhaging money, his various properties are mortgaged up to the hilt, and he seems unable to raise sums even vaguely compatible with Harris/Waltz. The real big donors he needs, wants, relies on, the very wealthy simply are not going to put cash on a campaign which appears to be losing. They, along with "foreign sources", will only spend money if it looks as if they are going to get it back - which does not look likely. Ironic, after years of throwing people to the financial wolves, those wolves are at his heels! Playing cards for sale!
  11. Biden won over 7 million votes more than Trump.
  12. He wasn't caught in the act though was he. He was convicted as a result of a long running investigation, (5 years) which eventually unearthed sufficient evidence.
  13. Perhaps, but there again they are usually punctuated, and know about apostrophes!
  14. Yes I remember that aircraft parked at Gatwick for several years. Mind you, they had competition - do you remember One -to-Go (don't come back)? Took a flight with them from Chiang Rai once. Supposed to be a MD82. After a couple of hours an ancient Boeing 747 200 (no less) turned up, branded as Orient Thai. Nothing to do with demand, it was the only thing they had that was capable of flying that week, and even then half of the interior lights didn't work!
  15. Can't help wandering how they will identify it amongst all the other turds bobbing around in the bay...
  16. I think that rather like Doctor Who, at the end of a series they regenerate into another form!
  17. Good to see that he has found the time to reassert his mastery of International Affairs ( see what I did there, good isn't it) and discredit the rumours that in such matters he is a flatulent buffoon!
  18. I'm saving my pocket money for the grand finale! A cover version by Trump and the Trumpettes of "Jailhouse Rock", with a duet with Rudi Guliani of "They're coming to take me away" on the B side!
  19. Not opioids, steroids - isn't one of their side effects paranoid exaggeration?
  20. Elements within the military higherarchy may be "up for it". I don't think that the army is "up to It".
  21. The measures justified by the need to fight terrorism, because it is an existential threat to our way of life and constitute a lethal threat to our people, are now to be applied to other, basically social campaigns. Straight from the textbooks of authoritarian government.
  22. You have been collecting his playing card thingies haven't you! @spidermike007
