  1. They've been in power for a lot longer than that. Elected administrations are merely a sham here to appease Western investors. We know exactly who runs this place and how.
  2. It was another lie to get his nose in the trough. The current mob are way worse than the ones they illegally removed in the name of fighting corruption.
  3. Yet they are queuing up to join the Police force to be recipients of those "slave labour wages". Go figure.
  4. Telling the truth is antithetical to what their culture demands unfortunately. Lie, obfuscate, lie some more, feign ignorance... Anything but man up and take responsibility.
  5. It's like dealing with pre-teen children that have been caught being naughty. Really.
  6. Siam Seeds are decent, based in Pattaya/Chonburi but only online, don't have a store as far as I know. Google for their website.
  7. The owner of Ganjawitch franchise drives a big black Mercedes, as I saw him in the one off Beach Road when it opened. It has a personalised 420 number plate as well. ????
  8. Siam Seeds have Girl Scout Cookies thin mint pheno from San Fransisco which is the original GSC strain. Little bit more expensive at 290thb per gram but it is the original. They also give freebies with every order. I got some OG Kush free from them in the last order.
  9. I drive daily in Pattaya and I see cars not stopping at red lights for pedestrian crossings on a regular basis. Is it getting better? Not in my experience. In fact I would suggest driving standards and behaviour are actually getting worse. Impressive that you took the time to actually photograph traffic to prove your point though, give yourself a big pat on the back. ????
  10. That would involve real work. Not gonna happen.
  11. The franchise which is more or less a pyramid scheme in itself, could not function otherwise.
  12. Comparing Sat Divers to rec dive trainers on holiday islands is apples to oranges. I know several sat divers still working offshore including North Sea and not one of them has what I would consider to be a 'drink problem'.
  13. Paramedics? You mean volunteer rescuers like Por Teck Tung or Soriwong Boriboon? ???? A diver medical is a requirement to work anywhere in the World as a diver. Maybe not here but this is the muppet show.
  14. I extend that to the whole country, sorry to have to say that.
  15. Doesn't look too much different from many of the houses i have visited in Thailand. ???? The two worst of all belonged to farangs, before anybody starts.
  16. Muslims who don't want it known they are out in Pattaya at 1:30am?
  17. From how my friend described, it they are fully dressed as Police officers, on Police bikes and with their lights on through traffic.
  18. None of which would pass modern safety standards.
  19. At the same time the RTP were allegedly stealing the donated charity money.
  20. If you bother to watch the video to conclusion it states that the RTP have found evidence there was an incident with the gang of youths before he crashed.
  21. There was a UK Channel 4 documentary done several years ago after three English lads were killed on a VIP bus that showed the Thais making these buses from wood frames with no reference to any standards let alone any safety or crash testing. Made me think twice about getting on them again. I only ever have done in emergencies which is infrequent these days now I have my own vehicles.
  22. I only hire foreign managers at my companies now because I found Thais to be lazy, untrustworthy and incompetent. They all have work permits and are fully legal and are doing jobs Thais cannot do from my experience. Stick that in yer pipe and smoke it.
  23. I have to agree with this post. I have 33 years experience of driving here. If anything, it has gotten a lot worse now than it was in the 90's. Just yesterday, I was heading along Sukhumvit from Jomtien into Pattaya and someone in a new Civic RS tried to cut in at the Thepprasit lights from the right turn lane to skip waiting in the queue. I did not let them in and bipped the horn very briefly to indicate that I was not going to give way and not to pull out in front of me. This must have angered the cretin behind the wheel as they then drove erratically and agressively behind me, tailgating, weaving in and out of busy traffic in an attempt to pass me (I was in the outside lane and cruising at 70km/h). Ultimately they failed and lost face by trying to undetake four lanes of traffic and being stuck miles behind. I often ask myself, "what is wrong with these people?" This is anecdotal but I experience this stuff daily! Some of them lack maturity and are emotionally unstable. I'm sure a proper competence assessment programme for drivers and motorcycle riders here would disqualify at least half of those currently on the roads. Cognitive testing would surely eliminate many more. However, as we know, the Thais are completely unable and unwilling to do anything about this issue. RIP to those that lost their lives in this latest incident, and condolences to the families that will be left to pick up the pieces.
