Austrian fire trucks. Chinese buses imported through Malaysia to be used in Bangkok (are they still in a field somewhere?). Containers of wheelchairs imported from the UK to be given to charity that were impounded by Customs. Stolen luxury, sports and supercars stolen from the UK sitting in Customs in Laem Chabang. Etc. We could probably keep on going for a while on this subject if we tried, such is the corruption and waste of taxpayers' money here.

All the hangers on hoping for legalisation were always going to be disappointed. Let's be perfectly honest, anyone that thought it was going to be in any way different, doesn't understand the way this country works.

The US will not sell F-35's to Thailand. We've been through this before. They would not even share critical data with the Brits who are level 1 partners. It's a nice dream for the bank accounts of the Generals but it will never, ever happen.

As a Thai taxpayer, I think that if he is a civil servant as he claims, and spending our taxpayers' money, he should take commercial flights like everyone else. Curious to know, do you pay taxes in Thailand?

Are Thais in general able to take criticism? ???? Not many in my experience, but they will be the first to criticise you and stab you in the back to make themselves look competent and good.

It's quite clear in Thai. Anything over 2% THC i. e. buds, hashish, oil etc is a narcotic which is still illegal. Anything under 2% THC which is the plant itself, leaves, stems etc. is legal. Pattaya is currently awash with ganja though, places selling joints, edibles etc. way beyond the 'allowed' THC percentages, with no police action so this is where people are hoping full legalisation will happen. I think they are going to be disappointed. I hope I'm wrong but I just can't see that happening under this government. Anyone that thinks you can just grow 6 plants and have a kilo bag of bud sitting there and the Police won't do anything clearly hasn't been in Thailand long enough. ????
