Bangkok’s Airport Rail Link faces major maintenance
How about a better and more relevant comparison, such as the KLIA Ekpres in KL, Malaysia?

Aussie man sues Thai ex-wife after Danish affair & money swindle
I was on the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree forum in 2000. That was the original non-naughty/nightlife forum for visitors and expats in Thailand. I think there were other nightlife forums but I wasn't on them.

Not being done already? Shocking but not surprising! That is exactly how it reads.

I was about to post something similar. I know some of the owners of another 'Win' company... surely must be related.

Aussie Arrested in Pattaya for Mafia Ties and Multiple Offences
I know a couple of Thais that are convicted felons (in Thailand) that visited New Zealand fairly recently. Easy to get a 'clean Police record check' in Thailand if you know the right people. Also, their record keeping is not the best, and records often go 'missing'.

Aussie Arrested in Pattaya for Mafia Ties and Multiple Offences
I thought offences committed in Australia didn't count in Thailand? 🤔

Pregnant Husky Scalded with Hot Water by Owner, Sparks Outrage
My neighbour has a cat on a chain. A number of other Thais in the moo baan leave their dogs outside all day in the heat while they are at work, often 12-14 hours per day.

Aussie man sues Thai ex-wife after Danish affair & money swindle
I trust bar-girls a lot more than Thai office girls. They are often far more honest about what they want in a 'relationship'. Working with Thai women in a manufacturing environment over the last 15 years has made me very wary of the so called 'good girls'.

Indeed. Some of the biggest conmen in Thailand are farangs.

Where have all the Washington Square Bars gone to? (like Cats Meow & Texas Bar)
I remember the Po' Boy sandwich was pretty good. 😉 Good times.

Where have all the Washington Square Bars gone to? (like Cats Meow & Texas Bar)
A few of the Square regulars moved over to the alley beside Buddy's, Moderation, Too Easy, Squeeze etc. Tom opened Buddy's (now has loads of locations) after D'Pelican on Soi 22 closed. Later on, after Queen's Park Plaza was demolished, some of the bars including Jack's Hideaway, moved down to Soi 7 plaza. Taffy died a couple of years ago back in England due to COVID. Paul, the Irish stuntman that had the Green Room also passed away I believe, nobody had contact with him for a while. Martin, who used to run the Traveller's Corner bar on the corner of Soi 22 (now Country Road) owns a bar on St. 172 called D'Lux in Phnom Penh.

My rules: 1. Never trust anyone in Thailand 2. Never marry anyone in Thailand 3. Never give anyone access to your finances 4. Always conceal how much money/assets you have 5. Store your assets (gold, watches, precious stuff) in a secure location that only you have access to (safe, safety deposit box etc.) You’ll thank me later.

Pattaya Mayor Enforces Stricter Safety for Parasailing Operators
Headline says Pattaya Mayor to enforce stricter safety. The article then states, Mayor Ngampichet convened with city officials and tourist police to discuss stricter regulations. Also, "Our priority is to establish rigorous guidelines to ensure visitor safety". So how can they enforce anything if regulations do not yet exist?

British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
Certainly not by the security guards. The article does not mention or reference anyone else, e.g. neighbours, other residents etc. but it is written in such a way as to give readers that impression.

British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
From the article: Matthew, who has been living in the village with his Thai wife for several years, is known among the local security guards for his volatile temper and frequent disruptions. You should really read the article properly before making a tit of yourself.

British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
Yes, much better.

British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
So punish the foreigner with jail time, while security guards that kicked tourists in the head can just wai and pay a fine?
-
British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
One of the most common stereotypes that Thais have of farang men is that they are 'jai rawn' or quick to temper. They love to perpetuate this as an excuse when they are on the receiving end as a result of their passive-aggressive behaviour towards farangs. Not saying that is the case here, but I have seen it so many times before.

British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
Wrong again, it is the word of the person that was punched in the nose and others who have a grievance with the guy. C'mon, you can do better than this.
-
British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
According to the village manager and security guards, one of whom was just punched on the nose and landed on his ar*e. I wouldn't be so quick to believe them as an authoritative or accurate source considering the circumstances.

British Man Allegedly Assaults Thai Village Manager
History of bad temper according to the village manager and security guards.
