It is the only way to gauge how deep #### you're in and what measures need to be taken to get out of it or when you can relax measures - unless Thailand is testing then it is only guess work - and a temp check is useless and a waste of time

If you don't care then up to you, maybe when you get it you'll be asking the question - why didn't they tell me it was this widespread

Testing is important, it’s one measure of many. I take some comfort knowing hospitals have not been overrun nor is there more than a below average fatality rate.

Common sense is allowing people to carry out their lawful activities and not suggest they find someway to avoid the unlawful activities of others. What you suggest is giving the unlawful precedence over the lawful. I'd call that anarchy.

I suggested nothing of the sort. If your common sense tells you to get on your motorbike and and drive headlong into that water balloon at 60kpm, then go ahead and knock yourself out.

So you think people should stop going about their lawful activities so that some can unlawfully kill or injure them.

The inmates are definitely running the asylum in your world.

Where in my post does it say that? I posted something that was nothing more than common sense and you chose to take offense to it and pretend to know what I think. Toughen up buttercup!

The 50.4% efficacy rate does not apply to you, because you are not a doctor. The Sinovac trials in Brazil can't be compared with others because almost all the 13,000 participants were medical workers. If the participants were ordinary people, the efficacy rate would definitely be higher because ordinary people are not exposed to infection all the time. That's why the Sinovac trials in Indonesia and Turkey showed higher efficacy rates.

Also, at 50.4% efficacy rate, it doesn't mean that the other 49.6% are not protected. 78% will be prevented from getting a mild disease and 100% will be prevented from getting a moderate or severe disease. Which is why 50% is the passing efficacy rate where the WHO and the FDA would grant approvals to any vaccine.

China's state-owned Sinopharm's vaccine was found to have a 86% efficacy rate in UAE, but the participants were mostly foreign workers.

Please don’t bother trying to justify their (the Chinese gov’ts) poor quality or their crappy results associated with this vaccine.

But having a bucket load of ice cold water thrown over you while riding your scooter along a public road on your way to work is not epic. I don't think anybody is trying to stop the fun they just want it to be sensible and avoid accidents and deaths caused by some overly stupid participants.

Probably a good idea to not ride a motorbike on those days and take another form of transportation.

Rubbish talk. People are now accepting and most just happy they can enter again. It weeds out the cheap charlie's. Some stay 2 3 months some 1 month. I don't even listen to bitter people. You will not enter my country without quarantine and you will pick where you stay. Good luck

Rubbish? Not at all. Please tell me how a golf quarantine, by itself is going to save the near 1.9 trillion baht international tourism revenue shortfall. You clearly didn’t get my point and I’d also submit it’s you who are bitter, not me. BTW, I already live here, dude.

I paid quarantine along with many that will follow. Only silly people believe they can travel because they say. I don't need quarantine mad people. No tourists would enter the AU without quarantine even during early stages of vaccine. It's the poor with no money that complain about paying a hotel. The Chinese don't care they don't look at time

Thai gov’t can do whatever they want. Is it a bad idea to have golf tourism? Probably not. Is it going to make the slightest dent in solving the disastrous tourism economy? No way.

Poor snivelling Trump supporters.  Now they make conspiracy theories about rigged voting machines and evil Democrats planning to steal the election.  Hopefully the police and military will keep these gun toting crazies under surveillance.  When Trump is finally escorted out of the White House anyone who keeps supporting his lost cause should be rounded up and set straight about their continued hate speech.  Hopefully Biden will make it a priority to shut down all the right-wing and Qanon web sites and work with Facebook and Twitter to eliminate right-wing conspiracy and hate.  And fools like Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, and Rush Linbaugh should be throw in jail for inciting the crazies.

Yes, let’s round everyone up who believes differently than us, but it’s okay for BLM to burn down buildings while promoting their faux-systemic racism mantra.

  9. The continuing quest for a quick fix, but alas there is none. Better to accept the fact it’s going to be years, not months, before tourism returns to normal levels, if ever. The question is how do we overcome more than 2 trillion baht of tourism revenue shortfall? Not going to happen overnight and this ill-conceived plan amounts to nothing more than a pimple on an elephant’s rear-end.
