  1. 'U' turns and 'Road Safety Experts' seems like an oxymoron. Until the experts can see all U turns are dangerous there is no hope. Why cannot Thais grasp the idea of roundabouts? We even have one in our housing area and they drive in the wrong direction around them?
  2. What's the process for getting a British Birth Certificate (full version) from Thailand for a parent (UK pp holder)?
  3. This story was covered in Stickman recently, and says the gunslinger Marc L, 66 mentioned in the o/p who came looking for a fight was 'Eden Marc' who ran Eden knocking shop on Soi7/1 years ago. Led quite a dodgy life by all accounts!
  4. Why would anyone be jealous of someone paying an agent to do something that can be done oneself online for free in less time it takes to contact an agent?
  5. Why should a tourist fee apply to anyone else who isn't a tourist?
  6. Wrong and rather presumptuous? Go back and re-read. I was not referring to O-A at all, as wasn't the o/p.
  7. This video seems more to the point, not a send up AFAIK and might seriously alarm anyone wondering what kind of kids are being created in that country.
  8. Will they be due some compensation from the state?
  9. If he only wants to issue the fee on tourists staying longer, why not just add it to the tourist visa cost at their embassies and be done with it? Then everyone else transiting for a day or two on visa exempt by any mode of transport, non tourist visa foreigners and long term expats can avoid the nonsense.
  10. Surely when you say 'some 12 month extensions' you refer to the Non Imm O type annual extensions that the majority of expats on retirement or marriage extensions use? It needs money in the bank guarantee to extend but no insurance.
  11. I didn't pick up much of a hotel review from the o/p but more what a sad life that person must have.
  12. If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable. The idiot needs taking off the roads.
  13. Dual pricing is the practice of setting different prices in different markets for the same product or service. Where in the definition of dual pricing does race come in? I agree the common cause of dual pricing in Thailand is race, but you were saying in other countries like US and Aus it doesn't exist and is called Non resident pricing, whereas it is just dual pricing.
  14. Absolutely no mention of golf ball finders here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GT200
  15. She's not losing more than 300,000THB, but probably losing the 100,000THB down payment if the owner cannot repay it. The rest was expenses for living in a rented home. Move on.
  16. Bit of a dumb thing to say? You seen fuel prices? You heard of inflation. Thats just for starters.. You seen news about Ukraine invading Russia? I'd start there.
  17. Good to see my useless no refundable deposit for Moderna getting used by someone else. At least I feel better about it now.
  18. Just look up GT200 on Wikipedia. Everything is explained clearly there for those who cannot remember. It doesn't shed light well on those even in power today.
  19. Twice you've stated this on the thread incorrectly imho. If there are two prices its dual pricing. 'nuff said.
