  1. You need a certified translation of the divorce decree. Then you can submit it to the appropriate authorities in the UK. It can affect her access to your pension and assets in the UK.
  2. Just make sure you have a letter designating the replacement or a note in the new passport. It is usually on the last page.
  3. Everyone here has been super nice to me. Just say hello and wai a little. I am the only falang for miles so I am a bit of a novelty but so far so good.
  4. The biggest barrier is access to general paperwork and insurance. It is time to update the laws on identity and status. The questions may seem intrusive but can also be medically necessary. Trans men still need PAP smears and breast exams, just as trans women still need prostate screening. The reason for the questions should be politely explained though.
  5. Hardly, that would have him falling asleep at the all night noodle shop. My guess would be Ice and Alcohol. Nothing like a wide awake drunk.
  6. Lenovo but I have had Dell and HP in the past. They are all good. As long as you minimize the bloatware you will be OK. You might as well move to Win 11 if you are upgrading anyway. To really compare, you need a hardware spec but they will be pretty comparable. Try Open Office instead of Microsoft office to save some baht. I would be looking at an I7 processor with 32 Gb RAM, a 500GB SSD and a 4Tb hard drive. That should have plenty of clout without getting crazy.
  7. But he is not the president and never had permission to keep the classified documents.
  8. Once or twice a week with the neighbors, never alone. Usually shots of Lao Khao but sometimes beer.
  9. I would ask the Russian embassy if you need certified translations. They will have a list of vendors.
  10. I got my MG6 that way. The Thais don't want them so they are cheap. It's been great, 250k with 42,000 km on it. Runs good, looks good.
  11. Yes on the letter, no on the lawyer. The kid is a US citizen. She gets automatic entry.
  12. Count yourself lucky, you got off dirt cheap.
  13. The judge is going to do what she can to dismantle the case before she gets recused. I am banking on the Georgia case to put him in jail.
  14. I got mine 2 months before expiration. It depends on the office.
  15. Because it is not a month of government holidays. Maybe one of those would be good too though. Maybe there should be a national bigots day so you can have a parade too.
  16. Correct answer! Get the 90 day O, open the account, move the money, wait two months and apply for the extension.
  17. Plenty of Lao Khao to get through the long weekend.
  18. This is why I got the Yellow Book.
  19. You go through an anti-Thai tirade and end it with a threat to beat someone? How is your western education superior if that is your answer?
  20. We have a small inspection station about 2km away and they do the inspection and tax payment while you wait. It takes about 5 minutes.
  21. I did this two months ago, no need for a transit visa. You should consider a stop in Istanbul, it is a cool city.
  22. A lot of good points here. There are a few laws that could solve a lot though. 1. You must have residence papers to apply for a visa at one of the consulates. 2. Your visa extension must be from the office that matches your drivers license. 3. Once you leave after an extension, you need to stay out for thirty days. 4. Automatic bank notifications of the monthly bank account balance. 5. Produce work permits on demand. Any other ideas?
