I think you are falling for Trumps trick where he indicates all politicians are pathetic slime - in your words - so he's no worse than the others. But consider that all politicians are not all pathetic slime - but get some good things done - accept election results - are normal imperfect people. You don't accept Trump is different. People look at a candidate differently when the opposition changes. Instead of looking at 2 older men acting a bit strange in their own ways they see a pretty relateable woman compared to this old lying self aggrandising guy and his second in charge making judgements on people that he isn't in a position to make.. and it reminds them how weird those two are compared to people in their normal lives. Don't know Tim Walz much. I think she needs to pick a strong male role model. I have a theory that Hillary picking someone too nice and affable - as Tim Kaine was - may have hurt her or at least not helped.
