  1. The OP's posted on quite a few other forums, unless there are ten other people who have the same unit and did the same thing? And no real feedback there. It's not clear to me that there is a 220v/50 Hz version of this unit? I assume the OP doesn't want it fried twice, and using a converter is, well, useless. Maybe the LX72's power supply could be used? I guess I'd ask a thai friend to search thai forums, maybe check in with Pioneer in Singapore, and forums in Singapore and Japan.
  2. You can buy one locally, easily have it couriered same day. I used this company, also on Lazada: https://anbsmarttech.co.th/en/purchase-yubikey-from-our-online-store/ I use the Yubikey 5 NFC (USB-A). Just to be clear, the FIDO Key simply replaces the old SafePass digital-display security card. Other forms of secondary authentication, required for certain activities, like SMS/Call me remain viable. Two-factor authentication Two-factor authentication is a way of verifying your identity that requires you to provide an additional piece of information beyond your User ID and Password. The additional information is typically a one-time time-sensitive six-digit code sent to you via text message or email. This extra layer of authentication helps protect you in the event your User ID and/or Password are compromised. We use two-factor authentication to verify your identity at various points in your Online Banking experience. In addition to signing in, this might include making a transfer, adding a new Bill Pay payee or signing in using an unrecognized device.
  3. I think we're just considering the lower house? But yes, you point a potential for a "stalemate" not covered in the constitution du jour, which might be decided by the Constitutional Court, or lead to "conflict"? Regarding the selection or appointment of Senators, that is side-stepped in Sec. 107 of the constitution, as are so many things here, with reference to a separate "organic law". " to enable the selection among themselves to proceed honestly and justly, shall be in accordance with the Organic Act on Installation of Senators." I think that law stipulated that the NCPO effectively selected the selectors. I am under the impression that the royal thai army, oddly, now selects the selectors.
  4. Yeah. "Let's light who knows what on fire and deliberately inhale the smoke." Not the sharpest tools in the shed for sure. But I'm 100% personal freedom as long as it doesn't impact others, so smoke/vape away in private, and if you contract related diseases, treat yourself at home.
  5. OK, so not BofA. Were I the OP, with what little details have been provided, I'd courier a FIDO key today, and try to get some SMS-capable numbers (in the U.S.) set up ASAP. Maybe ask a trusted family member to set up a Google Voice number for you? I use Talkatone as a back-up, works with BofA. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.talkatone.android But I haven't used it recently, and Talkatone has introduced a new paid option for 4,5 and 6 digit Short-Code SMSes. You can always utilize the "Call me" option with BofA. BofA charges $45 for an international wire transfer (in USD). WISE will yield more THB.
  6. I watched the first episode, and it is very, very, funny. Shea Whigham steals this ep with his portrayal of Liddy. The cast is amazing. Interesting take on Watergate without portraying nixon.
  7. Yeesh. the yout vote is out the window. Double yeesh. Nicotine patches can be effective in smoking cessation regimens. I guess there won't be any vaping of cannabis?
  8. Can you share any details which might help the OP? Originating bank? Does it require 2FA as BofA does (for amounts greater than $1,000). You use WISE to transfer to Bangkok Bank? What is "domestic" WISE? "Bank debit (ACH)"? When I trialled WISE from BofA to Bangkok Bank, I was required to use PLAID, AND use 2FA.
  9. Hmm. I have no idea. THAI launches probe into Rolls-Royce bribery charges “Some of the money was for individuals who were ‘agents of the State of Thailand and employees of Thai Airways’,” the SFO said. These agents “were expected to act in Rolls-Royce’s favour with respect to a purchase by Thai Airways of T800 engines”, the BBC reported. British daily The Guardian reported that the firm paid more than $36 million between 1991 and 2005 to agents to help it secure three separate contracts to supply Trent aero engines to Thai Airways. https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/30304422 I'm not sure this "probe" was ever concluded?
  10. Hopefully they refrain from any amateur gem collecting.
  11. Or during or after the "election". The "dirt", or the perception of dirt, has already been accumulated. It is so very easy to target either/both individuals and entire parties if you own the mechanisms and the unlimited resources of the State: ISOC, police, courts.
  12. Ambitious given their current position. They've also claimed they could get as many as 14 million votes, which is also a stretch. They could probably form a coalition with something north of 175? The Senate remains an obstacle to any real change. Still amazing that, in other than Bangkok, the populace is not allowed to elect local officials, like governor. Those are appointed by the regime in Bangkok.
  13. Will be interesting to see if the COVID-19 Emergency Decree is extended again. Any decision should be mid-May, for the period June 1 - July 31. And if vaccination remains a requirement. And if insurance remains a requirement. And if masks remain a requirement. I think the airlines can enforce the vaccination requirement. And if insurance is dropped then so can the thaipass procedures.
  14. It's not. I suspect it's something simple, and no doubt someone could get it working again. Factory reset? Back-up your data first.
  15. Assuming the insurance requirement remains in place, would the OP need to get another 30-day insurance coverage ($10,000) for their second and third entries? Has anyone seen any policies/pricing for the new $10,000 cap? For those planning a few weeks/months out?
  16. Sorry. I went on the title and missed this. In Settings, go to Apps, scroll down to Google Play Services and press on that listing, Force stop, look down to Storage & cache and press on it, Clear cache tab back twice, repeat above for Google Play Store. Restart the tablet. All Google apps should be in your App drawer, maybe you have the same icons elsewhere as well? You're logged in with your primary Google account? Hopefully you can get to the Playstore now. If so, update all apps.
  17. Long press on the Google Play Store app icon, Touch the "i" for Information. Force stop the app. Open the app.
  18. https://aseannow.com/topic/1218685-bank-of-america-doing-away-with-the-safepass-card/ BofA 2FA OTP SMS works with Google Voice also. Or use WISE. That works with BofA, with third party PLAID. Just use the proper reason, so it shows as FTT.
  19. Sorry, this excludes any SWIFT international Wire Transfer fee that the originating U.S. bank charges. This might range from 0$ to $50. My bank doesn't charge any fee, so I often assume others are in the same boat. Again, sorry. It does include the 500 baht fee (maximum, in the case of this dollar amount) BBL charges for foreign remittances. Personally, for a automobile purchase I'd use WISE. For a condo purchase or for Immigration I'd use SWIFT. But that's a personal, individual choice. Hopefully the OP follows up after making the transfer.
  20. Which bank? While not unusual, without a standing wire transfer order on file, you may be able to just do a standard SWIFT international wire transfer from this bank, directly (let your bank choose the intermediary bank, send USD) to your Bangkok Bank account here in thailand. This may require secondary verification/authorization. I'd press a bit harder with them for a solution. If not, just use WISE. Right now, $13,000 USD SWIFT 438,380 WISE 438,688
  21. Does it? Really? Just you doing the "wondering"? You do realize that they have twenty-five (25) years worth of sales and marketing data based on their relationship with DKSH? I might be off here but I'd say they know a bit more about the market than you.
  22. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, aka The Rock, on line 2 for you. facepalm I think it's spelled Milli, but pronounced Minnie? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaD8VJFVOxw&t=179s
  23. Ext stay/ret CW Since the first time I encountered this "requirement", which was requested in the office in front of the IO several years ago, I now simply prepare both a hand-drawn map, and a Google map version. Both accepted and added to my bundle in the subsequent years. It gets included in the "residence" sub-bundle (lease, landlords ID/Blue Book, TM.30 proof, photo in front of building, 90-day report). My hand-drawn map is very rudimentary, takes less than 3 minutes to generate. "X" marks the spot. Creating a new form, as the OP suggests - repeating information already provided a dozen times in other supporting paperwork incl, the TM.7 - seems like overkill, but if it works for some go for it.
  24. Maybe he could set those 200-ish folks, who dared express opinions, and are held in prison without bail, free? Police were instructed to investigate critics of the government and, as a result, Danupha was served a summons to acknowledge a defamation charge against her and paid a fine of 2,000 baht on July 22nd. So has he returned the 2,000 baht? Dropped the Defamation charge? He appears weaker and weaker every day. Classic thai Paper Tiger.
  25. This far surpasses the GT200 "purchase", not only in terms of cost, but in ridiculousness. Just not enough lipstick in the world to make this massive pig look like a submarine. On the plus side, the screen doors are easily replaced, maybe with glass and this tub can become a tourist attraction or floating (hopefully) restaurant.
