  1. Not in all offices, I've personally never had the 90 day reset at extension time (been reminded that the 90 day is due in 10 days or so on occasion), only time it was reset was when I went to Laos for a Non-B Visa.
  2. Daddy must have blocked their allowance
  3. Plus for me a 45 minute drive each way, among the wonderfully traffic law obedient others, while risking life and limb. Nah, I'll stick to the on-line system, thank you very much.
  4. Assume you used the toilet. Depends if you were standing or sitting
  5. Scan QR code I would assume
  6. Surely you mean 5 systems, or is it more, or is the later two no longer acceptable, I live upcountry so use of the Tollways is very sporadic, last time I was driving on one must have been 5+ years ago. M-Flow M-Pass Easy Pass Cash Mobile Banking
  7. I'll do a head count and get back to you, ok? Give me an hour or two! Surely it'd be quicker counting the non drinkers amongst us.
  8. so each tourist spent 42,000 Baht, big spenders
  9. There is one fact which is always ignored in obtaining packages that are used in English speaking countries and that are tailored to teaching English in their country, that fact is that their students already have a rudimentary level of English before they start school, whereas in Thailand that level is nearly non-existent.
  10. What extension did you get with one piece of paper and a photograph. I've been here 17 years on extensions for marriage, retirement, Non-B and back to retirement using 6 different offices and every year is a paper chase (next year expect to have to submit a total of 24 pages for retirement, 5 of which have to be obtained from my local office first for completion and inclusion in the pack). I am forced to assume you used an agent to obtain it with not even proof of finances.
  11. Maybe summary execution squads touring the roads looking for transgressor's, and it would still take a long time to sink in as bad things happen to others not to me and I've got an amulet anyway.
  12. chicken and egg scenario IMHO the population would care more if stricter policing was carried out, but better policing won't come until the authorities care more about the population.
  13. as is Fridays when people suddenly remember it due date in over the weekend or a Monday holiday
  14. couldn't plug itself in maybe
  15. You've a number of choices Stick with it, some of my friends are complaining about extra photo's being needed year on year. Return to retirement, not a problem, if Immigration ask say too much paperwork. Use an agent, at a cost, and I believe since tax has been spoken about it has jumped considerably. Return to home country. Move to another country. The choice is yours.
  16. If the Thai traffic police would work (I know an alien thought) to the same standards as US or Aus police it would probably be quite pleasant driving in Thailand, until they catch you for something that is.
  17. It's easy, count them as they come off the plane, as they pass through Immigration and as they leave to baggage halls/customs. Means you only need 1,350,000 actual heads on an airplane.
  18. OK, so the beach has got fed up with the rainy season and has gone on holiday.
  19. This is Thailand, what makes you think it should be. Like Thais drive on the left, except when it is more expedient, at least when they drive on the right 99% are at the side of the road.
  20. I provided both my pension providers the sort code and account number and an instruction in writing to have the money deposited into Wise. One ignored the instruction, the second came back with the response that their head office will not allow them to send to Wise as they are not a bank.
  21. Yes, reason given, as you said, "Wise is not a bank". Didn't see the point in trying, at the time, maybe different now.
  22. I registered on the new TM30 system, have not actually recorded staying at it, relied on the previous notification (paper submission), and had no problem getting the 90 day report approved.
  23. No need to give up your retirement extensions, you only need to be in country at the time of renewal and there is no minimum period of residence for Immigration purposes, the 180 days is purely and simply for assessing Tax Residency.
  24. What is the problem with the 90 day online? Nothing as far as I can see, submitted at 9:04 am, approval returned at 10:30 am same day (Monday). The hardest bit is sometimes the "captcha".
  25. 90 day submitted 9:04 today, approved 10:30. So registering for the new TM30 system did not nullify my existing paper TM30.
