  1. Correct the TM7 download has no stamps on it, they are added by the IO while processing your application, there are 3 I think, as they are for the IO I've not paid much attention.
  2. On retirement too. 1. My office will not accept them, think they've lost the stamps & pads 3. Hand-drawn house map is definitely needed, had google maps printout one year which was rejected another year they insisted on the GPS location being added, I kind of forgot next year and nobody said anything.
  3. Henry Ford, you can have any color so long as it's black, or something like that. 364 days of the year I don't need color.
  4. Not allowed to do that, reasons 1) They have their own pre-printed forms with the color stamps already appended. 2) They insist on handwritten in blue ink, and I'm not spending money on a color printer that will be used once a year. 3) The house location map must be hand drawn too.
  5. Items 1 and 2 I'm going to let others answer, I'm married and live in our house, with a yellow book, have only left the country once and that was to change visa type, so anything I say would not apply. Item 3 in 18 years of extensions at 5 different offices, I've never submitted the day before always about 2/3 weeks before (admittedly never used Jomtien), I've never had the passport retained overnight for the Retirement stamps to be added, it's always been done at the time, as was Non-B extensions, married extensions take extra approval time (under consideration period). Given some of the requests I've had for additional paperwork, submitting the day before would have caused serious problems. None of my friends who live in Pattaya and use Jomtien have alluded to this problem. Maybe you just got the wrong IO at the wrong time.
  6. Apologies forgot to do that before commenting
  7. you've only done 1 of the 3 pictures, the 3rd was added by you.
  8. The red box on the 2nd page says your already registered to do the 90 day on line. On registering they will have sent you an e-mail with your password (which I believe you can change) and a link to the login page. After you have managed to do one, enter your passport no and nationality and click on the spyglass on the page which will complete most of the rest of the data for you.
  9. Your lucky all the local shops incl all the many 7-11's in my area stock at roughly 10 to 1 in favor of white, with the same problem i.e. by the time the delivery van leaves they've sold all the whole meal.
  10. My UK bank has my Thai address, always have had (I have no UK address for 20 years), since the account was opened by the bank during one of the periodic shuffling of ownerships, I don't use their CC due to the transaction charges involved. Recently they have started asking for my tax residency details and Tax ID numbers (UK and Thai).
  11. One thing comes to mind and that is job creation, I've not seen anything alluding to this, Thai Government is very good at that everything has got to be vetted at least twice by different people. So would the enlargement of the Thai Revenue staff to handle many more end of year submissions be a significant labor problem.
  12. Depends on the currency used for example 17,000 Thai Baht is in excess of 10,000,000 Laos Kip so that would make them multi-millionaires in Laos.
  13. Of course you will not get gouged at a government hospital, they charge according to their fee schedules, with an appropriate "government approved" multiplier for foreigners.
  14. To answer the question in the heading - Yes. She want's the rental money, but doesn't want to comply with the Thai legal requirements associated with renting, I may be wrong in this but I do not believe you are required to submit a TM30 every time you return to your home address (even from a visit abroad).
  15. Refusing to provide income letters unlike 90%+ of other countries. When asking for advice after the death of a friend (at the request of his wife), the only answer I got was "well it depends on the circumstances".
  16. The reply is Yes, No, Sometimes and Maybe (I think that covers the options), depends on the office and the person on the day.
  17. He's the same as the RTP, only see what they want to see.
  18. My 90 day report is checked every retirement extension to make sure it's up to date and agrees with the TM30 address report, have to supply copies of both for the file. 90 day reports are not required if you do not spend more than 90 days in country at a time, i.e. flies out or does border hop every 80 days.
  19. Reckon "Revoked" was the correct word, according to the 2nd article he has an unspecified arrest warrant issued by China. Must have been speaking out of turn.
  20. Hope nobody had consumed a few beers before looking at it, would certainly make you think you'd had too much already.
  21. The UK embassy do not deal with passport renewals/issues, it is handled by an HMPO section of VFS in Trendy Building, all passports are issued from the UK. A temporary travel document could be obtained (as it would for a lost passport), but I believe this is only good for travel back to the UK, not to remain in Thailand until a new passport can be issued and forwarded here.
  22. Speak to your local IO they may have alternative suggestion, probably not but it's worth a try surely.
  23. Sure you didn't mean Tent - Check Internet - Check Booze - Check Seen quite a few with half empty whiskey bottles on the table. Also on normal days 3 or 4 traffic officers in uniform at lunch consuming a bottle of whiskey between them and then going on duty to make sure there is nobody driving under the influence.
  24. Somebody has a problem, I won't be there to help out. Money in a Thai bank relatively easy for Thai wife to get access, money in UK bank problems.
  25. Phitsanulok definitely appear to be one of the best locations to deal with, used them for years before my local office opened, who are extremely picky at times.
