Hello Bbas. I am a heart Patient too.

Regarding a 'GP' I understand your wish for that.

But why not find a Heart Doctor you can see every 6 months for a check up and to review your drugs regularly? The needs can change.

I found at BKK Korat and Chantaburi, really good heart Doctors who spoke English and were very sympathetic and encouraging. A review every 6 months should reassure you and when they prescribe, you don't have to buy at the BKK pharmacy where the prices are double.

    It's a few thousand baht every 6 months . .

You can probably find some of the same Doctors at the Public Hospital, if you prefer. ATB

Best Heart Hospital I found was Queen Sirikit at Khon Kaen  Doctors speak good English, prices half of what I was quoted in Korat for a defibrillator.

  2. Here in Buriram, when opposing lights both change green together, the usual procedure is that cars that want to turn right expect to go before those going straight on. When I happen to be on "pole position" and am going straight, I invariably force the issue and make the wayward drivers turning right stop and allow me to go first........as is my right. Police are often in attendance, but as one would expect never do anything!

  3. Regardless of ones thoughts on the stupidity or otherwise of fixed  closing times and alcohol sales, the law is what it is.

Everyone running an entertainment venue, and selling alcohol is duty bound to obey the law.

As such it should be made very clear to all involved that if caught breaking the law, they will be closed permanently  with immediate effect..  Otherwise not fair on those that adhere to the relevant hours.

  4. After recently advising the Pension Service of the death of state pension recipient, I received the following reply from them

........... as his widow lives in Thailand there is no Bereavement Support Payment Payable.  This is because Bereavement Support payment is classed as a death grant and was introduced by the UK government in 2017.  The death grant is only payable in certain countries however it is not payable in Thailand.  I am sorry that I cannot offer you a more favourable reply.

  5. The main requirement is to prove the child is eligible for a British passport.. If the Father is named on the Thai birth certificate as the Father, the next step is to obtain the LONG British birth certificate, which names the Father's parents as well as providing his full details.  This can be obtained from the GRO for a nominal fee, but one would ned to supply Father's full name, and date and place of birth as a minimum.  Once one has that it is fairly plain sailing.

There is no me or you, no seeker, no enlightenment, no disciple and no guru. There is no better or worse, no path or purpose, and nothing that has to be achieved.

All appearance is source. All that apparently manifests in the hypnotic dream of separation – the world, the life story, the search for home, is one appearing as two, the nothing appearing as everything, the absolute appearing as the particular.

There is no separate intelligence weaving a destiny and no choice functioning at any level. Nothing is happening but this, as it is, invites the apparent seeker to rediscover that which is . . . the abiding, uncaused, unchanging, impersonal silence from which unconditional love overflows and celebrates. It is the wonderful mystery.

An excerpt from 'The open Secret' by Tony Parsons who had a spontaneous revelation while walking through a London Park, he sat down in shock realizing that not only did he not really exist but that he never had done.

    Timefor a whiskey after that!

Just because I think that in most countries the "justice" system is way too soft for offenses like that?

    What a senseless comment.

Most of society rightfully hate these people, that is why in many developing countries child rapists and murderers just get tortured and killed in jail.  Awesome.

While sadly in most "modern" countries they get protected by the Police, if they even get jailed at all.

In my home country Germany you rot years in prison if you do not accept the theft of the government commonly called "taxes", but if you molest 100 kids you can get out on probation. This is because many of the people there in the justice system, especially the judges, are obese old men who engage in these activities themself.

Once I met a public prosecutor from Germany in a holiday on the Dominican Republic. Old and obese. Everyone knew what he was up to there.

So these jail sentences here are kind of a justification for me, but again, not enough. Public hanging or better publicly cutting off their balls and then slowly led these animals bleed to death.

I am a father of a young girl and if anyone just ever touches my daughter, just touch, then I will make sure only God can judge him.

Should anyone molest any of my daughters, they won't even get as far as God -if there is one!

There are two things you can do.

    1. Make a Will leaving the funds to your g/f.
    2. Add her to your FT account by way of power of attorney at the bank. Her name does not appear on any letters, the passbook or any statements in this situation.

In the case of being legally married, if either one of the above is followed, the bank will immediately release funds on proof of a death certificate.
In the case of a g/f the bank requires a Court Order to release the funds, but either of the above two steps shows your intent to the Court and very easy to obtain the Court order.

I have assisted a good number of Thai widows following their foreign husbands death. Apart from one occasion earlier this year when Bangkok Bank agreed to pay out the funds from husbands sole account to the widow with production of the death certificate....NO WILL.... all other Thai banks have insisted on Thai probate. Thai law states that when someone dies intestate (no Will)  only a portion of the assets go to the widow, yet Bangkok Bank ignored that fact!!!!!!!
