Just a thought. Whilst £88.51 is the correct fee for a child passport, was your son still considered a child when the payment was taken. I believe from age 16 the adult price of £118.512 or £128.51 is payable. This fact should it be applicable should have been picked up by VFS when the application was submitted.
-
How do you know about the DHL tracking? Did you not submit your son's passport application through VFS ? If you couriered it yourself direct to Liverpool then I am sorry to say, but you are in for a big delay!

They were due to land 2 and half hours ago on a cheapo airline. Any information as to whether they have actually arrived?

Why on earth do the police need to go through the formalaties of obtaining an arrest warrant.?
Just catch him, take him to court, convict him and have him executed!

A friend had a Will, and to avoid the money grabbing family accessing most of his money, he made provision for the money to be drip-fed to the widow over a 4 year period. Did not work. The family, realising they woud get nothing, took control from the widow, and employed a lawyer, stating there was no Will. The widow had all the money within 2 months, but a month later it was all gone, as was her house!

More nonsense from someone........a sales pitch for the Swede's lawyer wife!
The Thai laws re intestacy are perfectly clear. A Thai Will ensures who will get the assets in Thailand (most usually the wife), but without a Will, assets will be distributed once the equivalent of Thai probate has been obtained.

I have not seen any mention of what happened to the freight train. It does not appear to slow after the impact with the bus. Surely it must have come to a halt further down the line, with the engine at least damaged, and the driver surely in a state of shock'

Off to the temple. Amulets and tattoos clearly did not help. nor did the supposed power of Buddha. RIP to the dead and may the injured make a full recovery

The deer was allegedly only 2 months old, when apparenl eaten by the python. Still too big for the snake though I would imagine. Most likely sacrificed and eaten for some religious mumbo jumbo.

If someone can explain me how a foreigner accused of murder on
a Thai woman, arrested and detained by the Thai police and after
that he had confessed to killing her, has managed to fly back to
his country ? It should be in a prison in Thailand waiting the trial
or i have missed something?
He probably managed to scrape together 1,000baht bail, a few wais and he was on his way!

Someone is needed to do the work. So many rural Thais will not work, preferring to drink and take drugs day after day

Buddhists at least should understand why executing criminals is a very bad idea. That aside revenge murder is still murder.
Keep fictional religion out of it.
Murder is murder. Someone is dead. Why should the killer be walking the streets again EVER? He, and every murderer gave up the right to life when they killed! DEATH is the only relevant punishment.
