  1. Thailand did much right in terms of successful multiculti, so no surprise there is recognition. I would say the best thing the Thai's did is they do not discriminate against Thai citizens to give jobs to unsuitable candidates who's only positive is they are not Thai. This was the major mistake the west made as it caused major resentment particularly in the workplace where workers that had trained hard and had years of experience were passed over for promotion just because they belonged to the ethnic race that traditionally inhabited the country. Welcome foreigners, great. But do not discriminate against the natives just because they are native.
  2. When the dust settles, it will be appropriate to discuss whether the "woke" US military acted as a sufficient deterrent. I would argue that this woke military and their appalling defeat and bailout in Afghanistan, a vacant and incompetent US leadership and 4 years of hysterical misinformation accusing Russia of colluding with Trump to cause Hillary to lose her election did not help one bit. Nobody invaded when Mad Dog Mattis or Mark Esper was in charge of the military. Probably not a coincidence.
  3. It would cost the likes of Germany, Italy and Spain even more if they paid their fair amount. They all agreed to pay 2% of GDP to NATO for their defence, yet many like Germany make no effort to do so, and are happy for the US taxpayer to pick up their bill. That they do not pair their fair share of the bill is certainly not Russia's fault. If memory serves correctly it was only President Trump that had the stones to haul Germany's feet over the coals about this, in fact the conference where he roasts the Germans over this and the perceived corruption of German insiders controlling Nordstream2 construction is now legendary. "“I have to say, I think it’s very sad when Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia where we’re supposed to be guarding against Russia,” Mr. Trump went on. “We’re supposed to protect you against Russia, but they’re paying billions of dollars to Russia and I think that’s very inappropriate.” https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/11/world/europe/germany-merkel-russia-trump-nato.html If this guy was still at the helm the world would still be peaceful and prosperous as it was under his term. Such a shame.
  4. Not weird. Asians, by being so successful in the USA, blow the false narrative that minorities are victims of a white society and the crazy high violent crime rate/high unemployment/high divorce rates are not their fault. Hence the rage. Also the reason why the cctv footage of these attackers of Asians are always blurred. Only my opinion of course, Im sure MSM and "fact checkers" will disagree.
  5. Can't understand your story, sorry. Years ago I was having a few beers at a small cafe on a blind corner. Local police set up a roadside drug test, so I enjoyed the show. After about an hour the back of the police pickup was full. They had arrested mainly Burmese. I could hear the victims react with surprise and some anger to the test results. I could hear some were +ve for ice, some for marijuana, and a few for kratom. I was amazed that one test could be used for seemingly any drug in seconds. After the police left with their new friends I walked out to the pile of test kit wrappers they left lying on the roadside with their cigarette butts. It was clearly written in English that these tests were for amphetamine only. So the police were 100% bluffing. Plus none of the tests lying on the road were registering +ve anyway! ????
  6. You are right. Sorry I was getting confused between criminal and civil cases. But my point stands, why when Andrew is mentioned there are boo hisses yet when Mr Gates and Mr Clinton who are on the plane logs to the depraved island of Mr Epstein, well these great men are not to be boo'ed at they are wonderful philanthropists. Its our old friend the double standard again I fear.
  7. An interesting claim. So she was trafficked/coerced which would mean PA having relations with her was not consensual. This is particularly interesting because it would follow that presumably all of Epstein's young ladies which he kept on his private Caribbean island were in the same situation. So ex-Presidents and big tech bosses that liked to visit the island to play with girls were guilty of the same as PA and should be arrested? No you say????
  8. errr.. I believe the woman in question was over the age of consent. Still have absolutely no idea what Andrew(vile individual he is) did wrong in this whole fiasco - other than lie when claiming he never met the woman.
  9. A very ballsy move, hope it pays off for you. As I did before I plan to make a large buy a few months before the halvening, so my next major buy will be Jan 2024.
  10. Quite. It is so dated. Thailand should learn from the west that there is no need for women's and men's teams. Allowing each participant to decide their own gender is of course much fairer, and it allows real and inspirational stars like swimming champion Lia Thomas to emerge who would have never seen the limelight under the old fashioned rules. Time to modernize Thailand.
  11. If Russia invades the Ukraine on Wednesday as MSM is saying will happen it will be the 1st time in about 4 years they have got a major story correct concerning Russia, so that will have some impact on my life. But still, I guess the chance of an invasion is 0.00001% and they are completely wrong again and using the invasion hysteria to distract from devastating problems in the homeland. More interesting would be what impact it will have on those who take everything they read as gospel and then thursday rolls around and nothing happened. Will they have a moment of reflection? Will they start to consider the logic behind far fetched scenarios presented rather than blindly believe? Will the word "credible" start to be used to mean factually correct rather than simply favoring the PC side with no thought to factual accuracy? IF, and it is a major IF, Russia actually does invade the Ukraine, the US will retaliate with sanctions and probably the fool in charge will run his mouth off again and nuclear warbirds will start getting chucked around, and we will end up being piles of dust. But at least there would not be politically incorrect tweets.
  12. Cant blame them. It will have cost a fortune to buy the permissions to grow commercially, no doubt brown envelopes galore. All that planning, brown-nosing and dreaming, and then with a stroke of a pen (decriminalized weed) it was all for nothing.
  13. Just thinking, hope this new recreation law allows for the reggae bars to spring up again. Anyone remember in the mid 90s they were everywhere, some great ones on the beach pumping out Bob Marley at all hours. Coffee shops are too intellectual, Thailand did reggae bars so well. Happy days.
  14. Yes it is. Along with big tech and the legacy media. After they pushed misinformation and censored truthful and accurate voices for the last few years all trust is gone. I lost my ability to post on social media for posting an opinion that turned out to be 100% true. Jack Dorsey may have apologized after his site kicked off the mother of all misinformation campaigns that led to censors banning those with common sense, but most media and censors did not. Look at CNN's viewing figures and you will see the trust for the "liberal" media is gone.
  15. Thanks but I understood this part to mean literally "extracts" like oils and concentrates. ie nothing whatsoever to do with dried and cured buds, which are, of course, not an extract of any sort. Looks like we will all have to wait until the new law is published in the Royal Gazette and then see if it is any more clear.
  16. Is that 2,000B per cigarette, or a cumulative fine over time? I think I am correct in saying the police need a warrant to enter your condo to check if you are smoking on the balcony. Good luck with that lads. Funny must have been a month or so ago a French speaking couple moved in to the condo below. They were so terribly rude making silly and loud comments every time I fired one up. As if their cooking wasn't annoying for other residents. Suffice to say they are gone and I'm still here puffing away merrily.
  17. " BTW, the next support is 30k. It won't hold. Next one is at 19k. That might hold. You bought way too early. Cryptos are in bear market since November. And there is such thing as bear market, even in crypto." Well, I just sold the tranche I bought on the 23rd Jan for a mid 6 figure profit. You were totally wrong in your assertions. Maybe next time don't speak in absolutes on a topic you have no clue about.
  18. IF we can genuinely own a small plot of land in our own name, I for one will be an immediate buyer. I expect if the law changes again in the future to ban this ownership that we would be grandfathered in to the old scheme. Much like with Thaksin's initial lifelong 1m baht Elite Visa.
  19. No fan of Anutin, but what he did is correct and appropriate, and indeed expected of him. Politicians from any country should do their utmost to further the interests of their own country. The insanity of western politicians trashing their country and name calling their traditional populations to win favor is sickening beyond imagination. Carry on Khun Anutin...
  20. Here is my actual quote. "Fact remains crypto has a limited supply, in BTC's case it is 21 million."
  21. You might want to check out the purchasing power of the dollar over the last 100 years before mocking. Fact remains crypto has a limited supply, in BTC's case it is 21 million. So like the dollar it is not "backed" by hard assets, but unlike the dollar there IS a finite supply. Let's revisit this in 6 -12 months and see if you are still crowing.
  22. Mother of all buying opportunities. Did not expect we would get such a gift at this stage. Last time crypto was this price it was not legal tender in any countries, and the likes of Tesla and Paypal were not accepting it. Crypto is not going away. I will keep buying on any further drops.
  23. Race, I learn, like gender, is a social construct and is fluid. If Elizabeth Warren is the richest and most famous Native American Indian, and Hilaria Baldwin is the most famous Spanish mother, then surely Musk's ethnicity is known only to him. Confusing right!
