  1. It says that many WH documents are over classified, presumably to keep them away from the press. They aren't even tracked apparently. I agree, if Pence has them all Presidents and VP's have them. The problem seems to be top secret documents, of which Biden is reported to have at least one. The main issue for prosecutors would be intent and cooperation with the DOJ and FBI when they are discovered.
  2. Those restrictions will make no difference. Alcohol purchases need to be severely rationed for everybody. In Darwin they have tried banned drinkers registration and 3 Km exclusion zones, nothing worked. They have also tried cash management for welfare. In my opinion welfare payments should not be allowed to purchase either alcohol or cigarettes for any Australian. The cost to public health services is too high.
  3. I get out a lot. I'm still interested in politics and especially the politics of corruption. I assume you don't vote and if you do why don't you care? You've previously shown strong political inclinations on this forum.

  5. I bought some whole grain bread at the supermarket in Central Festival mall in Pattaya. 130 baht for a small loaf. I believe they bake them on the premises so hopefully won't be full of preservatives.
  6. They will take longer to deploy them than it will to train the crews. The tanks aren't expected in Ukraine for months. source: previously linked.
  7. Senators bewildered by Pence classified document revelation Senators on both sides of the aisle were caught off guard Tuesday by the news that classified documents were found at the Indiana home of former Vice President Mike Pence, materials that were ultimately turned over to the FBI. An attorney for Pence told the National Archives that the former vice president used outside counsel to review records stored at his personal home after several classified documents were found at the home and a former office of President Biden. The Pence news left some Senate lawmakers floored over yet another discovery of classified documents belonging to a former vice president. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/3828860-senators-bewildered-by-pence-classified-document-revelation/
  8. More likely the parent company advertises on Fox. I don't know and not going to waste my time looking.
  9. So what are they called when they have both stripes (normally red) and lights?
  10. No, they are the same. Some pedestrian crossings have lights and some don't. What are they called when they have both? Zebra crossings is slang. Do they have red and white zebras in Thailand?
  11. You think there has been no land clearing in recent decades? Pasture captures carbon way less then forest. There is no equivalence.
  12. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday “it’s time, past time” for the Biden administration and allies to send more military aid to Ukraine, and that the U.S. must provide more tanks and weapons to help Ukraine “win this war.” https://apnews.com/article/us-m1-abrams-tanks-ukraine-russia-249de5c301a9bf83b5f3ac2182076a02?utm_source=homepage&utm_medium=TopNews&utm_campaign=position_05
  13. Germany did take notice of the UK announcement. They responded by saying they wouldn't block Poland sending tanks. The US has Abrams M! tanks in Germany already. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1_Abrams
  14. In what would be a reversal, the Biden administration is poised to approve sending M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, U.S. officials said Tuesday, as international reluctance to send tanks to the battlefront against the Russians begins to erode. A decision to send a bit more than 30 tanks could be announced as soon as Wednesday, though it could take months for the tanks to be delivered. 15. The real foot dragger was the US. They made up every lame excuse in the book for not sending the M1 tanks until finally they had to. Their excuses for not sending them call into question whether they would be any use in a war against a powerful adversary. They had only been used in the Middle East. Germany was right to demand that the US send their tanks as well because of Russia's nuclear threat. Russia has to understand that it can't even use low yield tactical nuclear weapons or dirty bombs which have been the main sticking point.
  16. Looks like DeSantis has been eating too many M&M's. His health would be an issue if he ran for president.
  17. Where did you get your estimate of thousands? The single factual claim you made wasn't supported by any link. No, they won't use them any more than the West would. Russia isn't a country populated by lemmings. It has been well thought out. Why on earth would you think that is hasn't?
  18. Red light cameras can't be far away. They have about a million surveillance cameras in Pattaya now.
  19. By and large I'm seeing more drivers stop at the light controlled pedestrian crossings. In particular the one at soi 6 on Pattaya road 2.
  20. I didn't suggest that he did have either a license or training or that there was a requirement. I said that he likely didn't since he was a movie actor and only required to use the gun in the making of the movie. Ensuring that the gun was not loaded with live bullets and that it was used safely was the armourer's job. That's why they had one. I did say earlier in this thread that he was negligent in that he pointed the gun at the victim which was not part of making the movie. I suspect that there will be a plea deal with some limited jail time. There has to be some consequences for wrongful death.
  21. Defence Minister Boris Pistorius indicated Tuesday that a decision could be imminent, revealing that he had "expressly encouraged partner countries that have Leopard tanks that are ready for deployment to train Ukrainian forces on these tanks". "I expect a decision to be made shortly," he added ahead of a meeting with Stoltenberg in Berlin. Stoltenberg welcomed the "clear message" from the minister, "because after a decision has been taken on the delivery on battle tanks, it will take some time to... make them ready" and to train Ukrainian soldiers to use them. https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/germany-says-allies-can-begin-training-ukraine-to-use-leopard-tanks-3719931
