The headline is a tad misleading...........in as much it is totally the wrong way around..
I'm trying to understand. Are they going to deliver the doses in May of 2022?
I don't think they know what they want.

That's what you get when you bet on a one trick pony.
By the time they finally get around to producing any sizeable amount variants will have made Astra Zeneca obsolite like Sinovac is against the Delta variant.
Does anyone know why the Thailand facility is having so many problems?
Rueters said the factory won't answer any questions on its supply problem deepening the mystery.

I was on six waiting-lists/registrations.
June 12 I took the hint and I booked a ticket to get vaccinated overseas.Hard if you have a family and young children.
They may close the borders soon as this is getting out of control.
I would fly home if I was single.

I have tried to register for it in Pattaya and failed. They only reserve a tiny supply so far.
But don't you get it? October is really too late for high risk people to wait even October is not a solid thing yet. It could be next year.
Its scary. It should never been like this.
We're lucky we live in a resort style house to wittle the days away in relative comfort.

Have you Tried to register for Moderna?
All the websites crashed for Registration and when they were back online all the allocation was gone in less than 2 Miniutes.Besides that if you read carefully you will be Signing up for vaccination FROM October TO MAY 2022 EXPECT the latter date.
By the way Pay up front with NO refund and The Hospital reserves the Rite to Cancel it at any time!If you want the chance of getting Moderna you need to pay up front.
They usually sell out of there allotted amounts within hours and sometimes minutes.
If you're uncomfortable paying up front you won't be getting Moderna. Thats the way it works.

I know. And they still haven't ordered it.
No choice up here in Sakon Nakhon. Teachers, nurses, doctors are still trying to get vaccinated.

Also had invite from Thonburi for Moderna, why do some people find it so difficult? All you had to do to get an appt on Mor Prom was to spend 10 minutes applying for a tax number first, people preferred to spend hours on here moaning about not being able to get vaccinated instead.
Private hospitas are offering Moderna. Very limited. Mor Prom app as far as I know wasn't used for Moderna. I had to book and pay directly to Udon Thani Bangkok Hospital.
People are complaining because vaccines appointments are getting cancelled right and left because there's not enough.
Maybe you were "lucky" and got the useless Sinovac?

What a freaking mess.
I wouldn't believe anything this government say's.

No need to be a genius to figure out who was behind the ban, some people high up there who didn't like the truth to be know...
Don't they have a review process?
Can't find the truth with this government.

Discussed with wife wether we should tell family in Thailand to buy personal supply of Oxygen just in case it is needed in the near future. Decided not to tell them so as not to inflame the supply shortage, but can't believe things have got so bad we even had to think like that
I think a lot of people are thinking the same. I doubt the government is, useless government.

In Issan it's hard to call them "hospitals". There not much more than cement structures with no doctors. Sakon Nakhon is really lacking in hospital facilities. We usually travel to Udon Thani Bangkok Hospital for anything more than a runny nose.
Hopefully our family get doesn't get sick.

Anything is better than what we have running the country now.
Im always wary of posters who endorse the coup. Disinfranchising millions of votes his a horrible thing to do.

Thumbs up from many Thais up in Issan.
Hopefully he will continue the "space program" the generals want as a side pension.

who can build a dome?
That's going to be difficult here. If they do build something like that theres a chance of collapse if they've never done it.
A basic Thai structure would be best and cheapest.
Very comendable of you!

From what I understand they could go against the patent law and just mass produce it for themselves, under an emergency order. In practice I don't know what that looks like as I am sure there are AZ experts required to be present to make sure it all works - they could go all Breaking Bad and chain them up like Jessy Pinkman in final season.....
The "Breaking Bad" maybe there best option.
What a great idea.

I'm sure that they can announce an emergency "something"and keep all vaccines for themselves with little consequences. Other countries have done similar.
Even if they stopped exporting for three months, the rest of SEA is still going to need AZ in 3 months time.
Its a binding contract. I guess they could with repurcussions. Malaysia, a delivery recipient is having a much worse time. Im sure there upset.
Although its owned by one person Astra is providing the elixir and testing.

I understand that the company making the AZ vaccine in Thailand is the only company with, at least some, relevant experience.
Siam Bioscience
Siam Bioscience Co., Ltd., the first and only biopharmaceuticals manufacturer in Thailand, was founded in 2009 to preserve and continue in the reign of His Majesty King Rama X what His Majesty King Rama IX had started—to care for the people’s health and wellbeing.
AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine is a modified adenoviral vector grown in mammalian cells. Siam Bioscience has experience with manufacturing and exporting products that use such mammalian cell technology such as, erythropoietin (EPO), which is used to treat chronic renal failure patients, and filgrastim (GCSF) for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. The company's plants achieved multiple international standards such as PIC/s GMP, ISO9001, ISO17025, and ISO13485, provide an integrated solution for every step of the process and, as the largest biopharmaceutical manufacturer in Thailand, we have the available capacity to expand production lines in the future. With the world-class quality standards and operational excellence, AstraZeneca chooses Thailand’s Siam Bioscience as its technology transfer and manufacturing partner in ASEAN region.
Very self promotional, similar to there website.
Funny the company only has two reviews.
I couldn't find any other company either.
Hopefully they can get it together and start producing at levels promisesd.
There not very transparent so nobody knows what the problem is. They've pushed delivery to May now.

Thailand says AstraZeneca asked to delay delivery of 61 million vaccine doses
in Thailand News

The lawyers for Astra Zeneca are going to make Thailands generals look like the fools they are.
They can't just change a binding legal contract to suit there needs.
The biggest problem was relying on one vaccination production facility with no experience in producing vaccines.
