  1. Millions of visitors who had great times, returned home safely and went back there for subsequent holidays would disagree with that.
  2. How do you know that? Not everything is reported to the dregs of the media.
  3. Yes, it is referred to as that for nothing. Just twelve deaths over how many years and out of how many millions of visitors who didn't die? Drunks having accidents and drowning in the sea or in pools doesn't justify the name, either. Maybe it should be called "Chronically Intoxicated Visitors Island" or "Always Off Their Heads Island".
  4. Financial negotiations for the story with The Mirror, probably. No suggestion that the story was "suppressed".
  5. Safe to assume that the girlfriend had to negotiate the terms of the financial deal with The Mirror that published her story.
  6. From which page, the "home" page or the individual chat's page? From the home page the only option on clicking "Search" is to search contacts, from a contact's chat page, clicking the search box gives no options, just the flashing cursor.
  7. ...and, so far, nothing untoward has been reported as a result of the investigations by the Phuket authorities or the DSI.
  8. Why? What justification do you have for assuming priority over other passengers? You know that if you did that, the other passengers would just as entitled to remove your case, yes, and you would have no rational reason to stop them?
  9. 80 million Biden voters in the last election makes you a lonely man. No, it does not.
  10. He has not been charged with tax evasion so, you're right, it was not worth mentioning .
  11. He would need to have committed treason for that to happen.
  12. Men hitting on women happens everywhere, all the time and is usually considered normal.
  13. You have anything rational to suggest otherwise?
  14. A good poke with a stick.
  15. "...really stupid and pointless replies". And you think that starting a thread moaning about a shortage of Grab riders every time it it raining, isn't? Don't you see a connection between the weather and the availability of riders every time?
  16. How was he "conning money out of others"?
  17. A front for donations i.e. a charity https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/society/boredom-in-switzerland-leads-to-an-elephant-refuge-in-thailand/47207918 Yes, that article has been linked, ad nauseum, but nowhere in it is there a request for donations, or that is is a charity. It actually refers to it's profit-making success through visitors paying for tours.
  18. Yes a typo. British National Crime Agency BNCA. https://interpollawfirm.com/faq/international-eu-arrest-warrant/ Edited 8 minutes ago by Moonlover "British National Crime Agency BNCA". It's the NCA, the National Crime Agency. Your link refers to an EAW, a European Arrest Warrant that is used only within the EU countries and that law firm (not Interpol) refers to it as an International Arrest Warrant; there is no such thing as an international arrest warrant, arrest warrants are issued by individual countries. That website is not Interpol's.
  19. Unfortunately, legally, you do not have the authority for that "instruction" to be acted upon, administration (probate), determined by the court here, does that, just as in the UK. Neither can your wife, legally, clear the account after your death, regardless of what a bank manager tells you or, wrongly, allows your widow to do. Some people do get away with it though.
  20. I'm guessing that you mean the NCA, not the "BNRA" and that you don't know that there is no such thing as an "International Arrest Warrant"?
