  1. Yes, you did, definitely. Obviously, he asked the question and offered his thanks in anticipation of responses.
  2. No indication of any fussing or prudishness in the OP,
  3. As you say, 300 years ago so irrelevant to today but, regardless of that, where have the "Thai moral police" shown their presence? There's no complaints about her in the OP.
  4. Such a fragile people here! How do you work that out when no one's complained about it?
  5. Limit is per day. Which is very practical if you have to transfer say 10 million baht to buy a house... Seller, are you OK if I pay you in daily 49,999 baht installments over the next 7 months? I was responding to a hypothetical comment about facial features being unrecognisable due to an accident and how to transfer to pay the hospital bill. Paying for a house could be done easily with a cashiers cheque issued by your bank.
  6. NDID is not a requirement for the subject of this thread, photo ID for foreigners is, that's all.
  7. That's unfortunate but it's also nonsense. The changes are designed to make online banking safer. What have you done up to now when you've needed a new passbook, a new card or needed to update your passport number?
  8. I can see this thread as an opportunity for those with pink ID cards to say how clever they are!
  9. Exactly right Exactly wrong, there's no suggestion of that being the case.
  10. None, probably. That hoop wouldn't be there if you'd advised the bank of your new passport number.
  11. Transfer B49,999 as many times as is needed.
  12. advocating crime now. Selling alcohol during those 24 hours would be an offence but is drinking that same alcohol illegal?
  13. That's great if you've got a Thai ID to register with, the rest of us will just have to keep buying the physical tickets from the street vendors, that's not going to stop in the foreseeable future.
  14. For 24 hours, eight of which you'll probably be sleeping?
  15. Not with GLO tickets. you haven't.
  16. Because that's the official price that no street vendors stick to because of the price they have to pay their wholesaler.
  17. And that's why I asked if he'd made a typo & lent her $12,000 OR if she'd paid it back at $10,000 pm. There was no typo, it was as he described it, she paid it off early.
  18. No, you would not be right, in general Thais are charged the B100 (or the B220 for 2 price also).
  19. Silly you indeed, he didn't say that her actual repayments were $1000pm, that was just the original agreement's amount. She apparently paid more monthly and paid it off sooner.
  20. As usual, you really don't think that he is being watched and they may want him to make a move, nor that he doesn't know he's a likely suspect and could run regardless of whether there's a publicised warrant or not?
  21. It's there to protect the surface during from factory to installation, it has no other intended use ... If the owner is Thai they'll probably never know.. Guess what? That's what I said, protection! And I managed to say it without including a lame, Thai-bashing insult, either.
  22. You'd be wrong though. Then you were exaggerating! You'd never prefer to live in any prison over that house, I can guarantee that. Five years in any prison that you choose or five years in that house, which would you actually choose?
