  1. There is, that's why his unusual wealth is being investigated as well as the murder
  2. You know how the Police investigate themselves........ AMLO or the APG are nothing to do with the police. AMLO is an independent government agency.
  3. Gasppppppppppppppppppppp! No one's bragging about the rate of increase, all the article is doing is pointing out that Thailand's AMLO activities meet international standards.
  4. The APG is supported by the the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, OECD, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the UN's Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate, Asian Development Bank, Commonwealth Secretariat, INTERPOL and the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units so why wouldn't it be "for real"?
  5. No, it would not be nothing; a total of B300,000,000 in seized assets is B300,000,000 in seized assets whichever way you look at it. Unless you're just trying to disparage the AMLO, of course.
  6. What's the "obvious" reason for refusing a vaccination in favour of nothing if she wants to be vaccinated?
  7. Yes, we read it. Are you just practicing your dots and underlining skills?
  8. Do you know how much a new Porsche costs in Thailand?? Doctor whoever he is, is obviously well remunirated Yes, I do know how much they cost. Doctors usually are well remunerated particularly when it is usual in Thailand for them to have more than one position at different hospitals.
  9. He is described as a police doctor. "A Police Hospital doctor..." He is not described as a "police doctor", the OP refers to him as a Police Hospital doctor (and later in the report just as a "doctor"), that's a doctor from a hospital called The Police Hospital.
  10. Could well be. Unfortunately that won't go down well here, most members prefer their version that he's a corrupt RTP officer with a medical qualification, employed by the RTP as a doctor.
  11. And the profit earned from that hospital goes where? It's a public hospital, a government hospital, profits go to the government, obviously. The hospital is not run by the police.
  12. You understand the difference between a title and a rank? Do you understand the difference between a Police General Hospital doctor and a RTP employee?
  13. Yes it is, the linked article couldn't have made it much clearer but it's a tax on those businesses, whether it will affect online prices remains to be seen.
  14. Paid by Police admin, the title of Lieutenant is not honorary, it is factual. His salary can be weighted to recognize his medical degree, this happens all over the world, except in your own head, it seems. Doctors at the Police Hospital, regardless of titles, are not paid by the RTP. We are not talking about medical personnel who are employed directly by the police force in this case and that seems to be what you are referring to.
  15. But things are not changing every hour or so.
  16. You're right but, unfortunately, that does not happen in Thailand. Anyone who is remanded in custody is usually sent to the remand prison that also houses convicted prisoners no longer on remand and the conditions are the same for everyone. It happens in other countries also for those remanded in custody, they're held in jail.
  17. Depends on what you consider to be luxuries but inmates do have access to a shop where they can buy food, drink, toiletries and other items and alternative food can be ordered the previous night for a small charge for those who want to pay for it. Visitors can also buy food for the prisoners. But he's in quarantine and that may restrict what he has access to initially, your wife may not have taken that into consideration.
  18. If he's in quarantine the chances are that he will be provided with food as he and the others will not be able to use the prison shop. However, as with all prison inmates, hiso or not, if outsiders send food in for him he would be able to have that.
  19. So he occupies a single cell and doesn't have to share the bucket in the corner with 30 other inmates and scramble for a sleeping spot? How is that NOT a privilege? You're the one who is saying that he "occupies a single cell", the article did not say that, it described a room with other inmates while they are being quarantined. There is no "bucket in the corner" of prison accommodation, it's equipped with a toilet and there is no "scrambling for sleeping spots, most prison accommodations have a specific number of occupants with allocated places for sleeping.
