The current WrLife Policy available online states: 3. For aged 65 and over: 2 choices 3.1 Health checkup required prior to coverage to determine pre-existing conditions. (or) 3.2 A six month waiting period prior to coverage for specific diseases. Specific diseases: Hypertension & Cardiovascular Disease, All Tumors, Polyp or Cyst, Hernias, Hemorrhoids, Prostate Disease, Diabetes, Cancer, Cholecystitis, Cholelithiasis, Calculi of the Urinary Organs. So not every condition is covered. The rationale -- strictly as I infer -- is that if someone age 65 or over declares a pre-existing condition upon application, and there is no (inpatient) treatment required for that condition for 6 months, the company believes that there is an acceptable risk to them as to any further treatment required.

Just to note on that page 2 comment on my WrLife claim, when I first posted that claim info on a topic a few month's back, one of the replies was: Well what if they had denied you're claim? So it seems some who reply to this type topic are just in gotcha mode.

I signed up almost a year ago at age 70 without any pre-exiting conditions. I had a prior 5-year history with CIGNA with no claims. And my apologies it was Brewsterbudgen who said that he is 62.

The six month rule is for age 65 and over. Not mentioned in ANYTHING post above.

I will submit this which I have mostly posted elsewhere: After almost 15 years with BUPA/Thailand and Cigna Global with no claims, I switched to WRLife. The primary reason for the switch was that I moved to an area with no direct pay by Cigna Global and I found that unacceptable. Within 2 months of the new policy, I had an accident and fractured my hip. The claim for hip replacement was paid in full by WRLife. Thank you. No follow-up, please.

Very unusual and atypical of your wife to allow such devotion and unflinching commitment to the research of how every nook and cranny in Thailand would react to the impending future pandemic.

At least for me, maybe the only Covid-related reason for wearing a mask on a motorbike was when the bikers jam up close at an intersection for sometimes 2 minutes waiting for the light to change (or not waiting). In the early days of Covid, especially when I was riding near a known Covid hotspot, I was sure to wear my mask when maybe 3 or 4 riders were inches away from me for up to 2 minutes.

Been in Thailand 18 years now and, while certainly there are the financial advantages, I came here for the anonymity. People became very intrusive in US as to who you are, what do you do, and the 'can this person help me more than I can help them' equation. Here in a Thailand, nobody much cares who you are unless you want people to know who you are.
