I like topics like this from Bob or the other usual suspects because, if I can read them and not feel compelled to reply, I know my anti-psychotic medicine is working. -
The Great American Employment Collapse Has Commenced

Asked about the difference between a recession and a depression, President Harry Truman said: It's a recession when your neighbor loses his job; it's a depression when you lose your own. https://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/203941.Harry_Truman -
So DEFINITELYT there is a higher probability of having a claim denied than having a claim paid. Thank you, Mr. Wise.
-
Thank you. So, if someone were to say that '"claim denied" is likely and common' could one then infer the suggestion that the probability of a claim being denied exceeds the probability of a claim being paid?

Once you have CKD, it and the accompanying kidney damage cannot be reversed. However, diagnosing and treating CKD early may help stop it from advancing. There are new treatments in the past few years that have been described as “game-changing” for their ability to slow the progression of CKD for years and possibly even decades, Dr. Luciano says. https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/why-is-chronic-kidney-disease-ckd-on-the-rise However it seems -- based upon a reasonable search -- that the only claim to have reversed kidney damage occurred right on this very forum and topic, Whoda thunk

She was the only member of the court appointed by the president to vote against his emergency request to freeze foreign aid. March 6, 2025 Updated 2:59 p.m. ET Justice Amy Coney Barrett is the junior member of the Supreme Court’s conservative supermajority, having served just three full terms. But her vote may be decisive as the justices consider whether and how hard to push back against President Trump’s efforts to reshape American government. <SKIP> But Justice Barrett’s role in the recent cases has given rise to a powerful backlash from former supporters. “Barrett deceived people into thinking she was a reliable constitutionalist,” Mark Levin, a conservative podcaster, said on social media. “The power has gone to her head.” NY Times via https://archive.ph/kfZvm#selection-1241.0-1249.35 NB I was beginning to think Ms. Barrett may end up being Trump's Justice Souter.

And the above post left out this salient advice from JUN 2023: Those insured should also be self insured as a "claim denied" is likely and common.

From the State of the Union transcript: In fact, it has been stated by many that the first month of our presidency — it’s our presidency — is the most successful in the history of our nation. By many. And what makes it even more impressive is that do you know who No. 2 is? George Washington.

Prove it “Believe it or not, government databases list 4.7 million Social Security members from people aged 100 to 109 years old,” Trump said. “And money is being paid to many of them.” https://www.barrons.com/articles/social-security-benefits-trump-fact-check-55319be8 https://www.ssa.gov/oact/progdata/benefits/ra_age202412.html

Shock discovery! Zelensky owns a suit!!
jerrymahoney replied to Hanaguma's topic in Political Soapbox
You guys drink poison then expect Trump to get ill. Enjoy Thailand. Hey with RFK Jr. and his MAHA why should I not expect Trump will claim he's gonna cure cancer. And I am not 'you guys' -- I was on here for almost a year saying that these Trump trials civil and criminal were a big mistake -- as many left-leaning legal scholars did also. -

I used SKYPE for 20+ years even before moving to Thailand. But a NY Times article said that SKYPE has gone from 300 million users in 2016 to 36 million users in 2023. TEAMS has now has 320 million users per the article.
