They were only 'selling' tourist visas. I see it that the in-country citizenship made more sense say one hundred years ago when travel to/from the US was much more difficult to synchronize a visit with childbirth. NB The phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" within the 14th amendment is being challenged in the Exec Order with a much narrower interpretation than is generally acknowledged. The 14th amendment is at issue in both the Immigration (Invasion) and Birthright executive orders.

The big legal question on immigration is whether as in the March 15 exec order there was an 'invasion' as invoked and required in the 1789 Act "by a foreign nation or government." The above quote was from the JAN 20 Exec Order.

I remember reading things like this: -- Biden signals to aides that he would serve only a single term / 12/NOV/2019 So, I really wasn't paying much attention to Biden when in office. At least on AN/TV most of my political activity the latter part of Biden's term was in saying that the criminal and civil cases against Trump were a big mistake -- and felt confident in saying so as many otherwise lefty-leaning legal scholars and former prosecutors were saying the same thing both legally and politically.
