  1. Everything will be done properly. No worries. Especially when Ms. Leavitt will say so. The FDA will be monitoring the purchase of all drugs acquired ex-USA -- with the few employees it has left.
  2. No but the authenticity and expiration date of drugs sourced ex-USA will be.
  3. Note from that Reuters article: This is not the first time President Trump has tried to tie drug prices to what other countries pay. During Trump's first term, a court blocked a proposed international reference pricing program.
  4. Maybe the only bad thing is that he isn't 'former'.
  5. If you want to talk about the mass firings by the Trump admin being challenged in court, you can expect to hear from some: Firings huh? Well, what about Truman firing Gen MacArthur, where were you then, HUH?
  6. Thanks. Even as a small kid, you knew this was a special place.
  7. This was in my neighborhood -- I walked past it every day going to grade school. https://www.nps.gov/morr/learn/historyculture/ford-mansion-washington-s-headquarters.htm
  8. Trump doesn't have to say anything about Pope Leo -- he can let Laura Loomer do it.
  9. Here's how I think of the JAN6 dustup: Upon Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025, he pardoned all but 14 of about 1,270 convicted rioters. DC Federal Judges who worked long hours on these cases -- both of Repub and Dem appointments -- were not happy. And these are the DC federal judges that Trump will have to deal for most of the next 4 years.
  10. I posted one of these topics that Skype had 300 million customers in 2016 and only 30 million now. So I guess they don't care where those 30 million have gone. And Teams is now 300 million customers most likely corporate/business not personal.
  11. So would DoD Sec. Hegseth kicked out Alan Turing?
  12. Ms. Pirro as well as Ms. Habba in NJ are 120-day interim appointments with no Senate confirmation required. And just to note the Polish general in the US 1700;s was Casimir Pulaski as in the NJ Skyway.
  13. As in the OP: Trump on Truth Social: Our Court System is not letting me do the job I was Elected to do. Trump and Ms. Bondi have fired or caused career attorneys to quit so there are not enough lawyers to handle cases from the Executive orders Trump has enacted. Washington Post headline MAY 4: - Justice Department lawyers face skeptical judges upset by ‘shoddy work’ - As they defend against more than 200 lawsuits challenging President Donald Trump’s initiatives, some government lawyers are getting scolded from the bench. And the article gives instances of 'shoddy work' in front of judges appointed by both Repub and Dem Presidents.
  14. You could also say why not wait for the details of this one. From the OP link: The timing of the tentative deal—which is itself only a broad outline and has yet to be finalized—was however governed by political realities on each side of the Atlantic.
  15. Judge orders temporary halt to Trump administration's government overhaul By Reuters May 10, 202510:04 AM GMT+7Updated 41 min ago Summary - Judge blocks layoffs due to lack of Congressional authorization - Plaintiffs likely to succeed on claims Trump exceeded authority - Hearing set for May 22 to consider longer injunction WASHINGTON, May 9 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump's administration must temporarily halt its sweeping government overhaul because Congress did not authorize it to carry out large-scale staffing cuts and the restructuring of agencies, a federal judge said on Friday. U.S. District Judge Susan Illston in San Francisco sided with a group of unions, non-profits and local governments, and blocked large-scale mass layoffs known as "reductions in force" for 14 days. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/judge-orders-temporary-halt-trump-administrations-mass-layoff-plans-2025-05-10/
  16. Well maybe the Supreme Court will not be ruling on the macro issue but only the micro.
  17. The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on May 15 in three cases challenging an executive order President Donald Trump signed on January 20 purporting to limit who is entitled to “birthright citizenship,” i.e., who automatically becomes a US citizen if they are born on US soil. The argument is not formally about whether Trump’s policy is constitutional, but is, instead, focused on a technical question about the injunctions that three different lower courts issued to block the policy from taking effect. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/04/30/politics/birthright-citizenship-supreme-court-vladeck-analysis The court’s ultimate decision will have a lot to say about whether and to what extent the policy is allowed to go into effect. While extraordinarily significant, that is not necessarily the same thing as a ruling on the policy’s legality; it is distinctly possible that the Supreme Court will go out of its way to not address whether Trump’s policy is constitutional in a ruling that nevertheless allows it go into effect across much (if not most) of the country.
  18. If you want to talk about her qualifications, ask someone who commented on her qualifications.
  19. Same answer. It is a matter whether Trump is using interim appoi8ntments to circumvent Senate approval process.
  20. Ms. Pirro has been appointed as the interim U.S. attorney for Washington. She has not been nominated and there is no indication she will be nominated for the full position which would require Senate approval. Interim appointments do not.
  21. President Donald Trump – whose second-term agenda has been bogged down by judicial roadblocks – announced several judicial picks in Truth Social posts on Tuesday, and complained in a post on Wednesday that the judiciary is preventing him from executing the job Americans elected him to do. "Our Court System is not letting me do the job I was Elected to do. Activist judges must let the Trump Administration deport murderers, and other criminals who have come into our Country illegally, WITHOUT DELAY!!!" he declared in a Wednesday post. FoxNews via https://www.yahoo.com/news/president-trump-announces-multiple-judicial-173301606.html ************* I guess to Mr. Trump whether his manner in 'doing his job' is legal or not is a technicality.
  22. NYTimes headline today: David Souter, Republican Justice Who Allied With Court’s Liberal Wing, Dies at 85 He left conservatives bitterly disappointed with his migration from right to left, leading to the cry of “no more Souters.” (except watch out for Ms. Barrett)
