  1. He should have killed himself first...
  2. You pay this to the landlord. It has nothing to do with the price he really pays. There are laws that regulate how much more he can charge. Thailand has many good laws but often no (good) law enforcement...
  3. Of course there are faster drives. This is an SMR drive. I have both SMR and CMR drives. When I write many GB to an SMR drive at once, the write speed drops to around 30MB/s. But for normal use they are okay. And for his purpose it is an inexpensive storage. Regarding vibrations. Some of my disks are mounted with these wooden sticks. This disk tray has rubbers on the side where the screws are so that vibrations are not transmitted. A killer for the disk access times. Therefore the sticks. Be careful with such special trays.
  4. 2290 Baht for 4 TB => 2290/4 = 572.50 Baht only per 1 TB ????. It is really a very good price.
  5. Here is another one for 2290 Baht. Both shops Advice and JIB are very reliable. https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/46117/4-TB-HDD-WD-BLUE-5400RPM-SATA3--WD40EZAZ-
  6. I took the Western Digital 4 TB 5400 as an example the 4-TB WD BLUE (5400 U/min, 256 MB, SATA-3, WD40EZAZ) I didn't look for the best price in Thailand. I took the first one that Google showed me Thailand 2290 Baht https://www.advice.co.th/product/hard-disk-for-pc/hard-disk-pc-sata-iii-4-tb-/4-tb-hdd-wd-blue-5400rpm-256mb-sata-3-wd40ezaz-?gclid=CjwKCAjwo7iiBhAEEiwAsIxQEdAkI0ttcoz2jk4YV4Lb9TvVbueLp9PBZFkMeauYLTUNWeG0Vyy9rBoCG4MQAvD_BwE Newegg 68 USD about 2312 Baht https://www.newegg.com/wd40ezaz-14tb/p/1Z4-0002-01CG2
  7. "I noticed that hard drives in Thailand are almost double the price in USA. That seems kind of strange because Thailand is #2 in worldwide production volume of hard drives." Is it like this? Do you have examples?
  8. No opinion here can replace a test. And HIV is not the only STD.
  9. You have to switch to THB at the top. The start is obviously here if you do not want to start at Central Village.

  11. I was just trying to book the bus from Pattaya to Bangkok and there were some surprises. The bus is only available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. There are other days for the van. The only departure time I could find was 8pm. And the regular price is 498 currently reduced to 249. I couldn't find the 190 baht mentioned in the article. There is a bus Bangkok to Pattaya at 8am (and 4pm). So I guess this service is for people that want to come to Pattaya and get back to Bangkok in the evening.
  12. "Two movies will be played each day in multiple languages, with films focusing on things in Pattaya." Sex movies?
  13. I'm not sure what the bigger penalty is. Execution or life imprisonment in a Thai prison.
  14. "A Thai teacher named Maneerat “Tai” Potjanarot. She passed away at the market in the central province of Nakhon Pathom on September 10 of this year" On September 10 of this year. How did she do this?
  15. I got a letter with the size and registration numbers for my condo where I was asked to correct anything that is wrong. Nothing else so far this year.
  16. Just talked to the Pattaya City Hall at 038 253 149 - the department that is responsible for this tax. The lady there told me that they will send out the bills in May. Her English wasn't very good. Hope that this is correct. Does anyone have a different information?
  17. I have this Microsoft SwiftKey installed and use it all the time. It is a good keyboard. The down arrow on my device has nothing to do with it. And I checked my two other Samsung devices. They don't have this down arrow despite SwiftKey. But I can close the keyboard there with the back key.
  18. https://www.chiangmailocator.com/chiang-mai-businesses-7335:chiang-mai-immigration-central-festival Would be nice to have this in Pattaya too.
  19. Maybe it's just my Samsung device. But on the bottom right side I have a down arrow and when I press that it closes any keyboard I have installed.
  20. There seem to be clubs that are only visited by certain nationalities. "The authorities separated the pubgoers into two groups consisting of 80 Chinese, 9 Koreans, 1 Laotian, and 72 Thais." Some days ago in the Hollywood Pub https://thethaiger.com/news/pattaya/police-in-pattaya-conduct-nightclub-raid-seeking-overstayers-and-drugs-find-none " Among the clientele were 81 Chinese tourists, 28 from Hong Kong, 27 Koreans, three Taiwanese, and two Laotians. The remaining patrons and staff were Thai nationals." I guess most of the Thais looked like females ????.
  21. My goodness. A night without alcohol in a bar. What a punishment for some. They must have a very poor life if they have no alternative.
  22. I think we are lucky that Vietnam for instance only charges about 2.70 baht per unit. Thailand's manufacturing needs to be competitive or foreign companies that need a lot of electricity will move to countries where it is cheaper. Therefore I guess Thailand will avoid increasing the price too much.
  23. And I run around with my Singha Lager Beer T-Shirts every day ????????????.
  24. The person who allows them to stay in his property or the manager of it has to do the reporting. Hotel or not should not make a difference. Imagine you stay every day at a different location. You would be very busy doing this reporting as traveller.
